Chapter 1191: Chapter 1191: Zhuangzhuang is Critically Ill 1
They left the army with Qiao Desheng, claiming to be passing through Huaibei City on their way from Shanbei, which didn’t arouse anyone’s suspicion.
Xiaoyun was a bit reluctant, mumbling, "Off you go just like that, without even waiting for me."
"What, you want to leave too? Fine, I’ll take you to the train station tomorrow, buy a ticket, and put you on the train," Guo Xiuying glanced at him sidelong. "Your grandpa called the other day asking when you’re going back."
Xiaoyun waved his hands hurriedly, "No, no, I’m not leaving, I won’t go back!"
He hadn’t had enough fun yet!
Just as Guo Xiuying was about to knock on his head, a young nurse hurried over, "Dr. Guo, Dr. Guo, quick, come with me."
"What happened?" Guo Xiuying asked anxiously.
The nurse, out of breath from running, pulled her along and said as they ran, "Dr. Qingxue’s little baby is sick again, there’s a bit of infection in the lungs, Sister Sanbao sent me to get you to come up with a plan together!"
Hearing that Little Zhuangzhuang was sick, Guo Xiuying ran even faster than the nurse.
When Xiaoyun heard this behind them, he turned his eyes around and quickly ran towards the Lu Family, and sure enough he saw Tian Ling and Yang’s mother sweating profusely in the commotion. Whether it was a twin’s telepathy or not, Dundun and Xiongxiong were crying fiercely, Fubao followed suit in tears, and Xibao was frantically anxious.
"It’s alright now, stop crying!" Xiaoyun comforted Fubao as he held her.
Fubao, struggling to catch her breath from crying, said, "Brother, brother hurts, mommy’s crying!"
Having been frail since birth, Zhuangzhuang being seriously sick pained a mother’s heart. Xiaoyun thought this but dared not say it aloud; instead, he held Fubao tighter in his arms, "Yes, brother hurts, and mommy’s crying, which is why Fubao can’t cry anymore. Fubao is the big sister and needs to take care of her brother at home; you still have two other brothers."
"Brothers! Dundun! Xiongxiong!" Fubao burped, then struggled down to run to Tian Ling and Yang’s mother.
Tian Ling and Yang’s mother exchanged a glance and knelt down, making it easier for Fubao to see her brothers.
The two-month-old babies were crying fiercely, faces beet red, but as soon as they saw Fubao’s familiar face, Xiongxiong was the first to stop crying, emitting a soft laugh.
With Xiongxiong not crying anymore, Dundun also stopped his tears.
Tian Ling and Yang’s mother heaved a sigh of relief, "Finally, no more crying."
Xibao wiped the sweat from his forehead and sat down on the floor with a thump. He had been terrified by the ordeal.
"Just don’t know about Zhuangzhuang," Yang Fengying said with worry. Even though the child wasn’t hers, having looked after him since birth, every cry had the adults hearts’ in pain for a long time, let alone when he fell ill.
A lung infection, that’s not easy to treat!
Zhuangzhuang’s illness was fierce. For such a small infant, the faint cries nearly tore at the adults’ hearts. Each treatment saw Guo Xiuying, Sister Sanbao, Dr. Liao, and Dr. Zhang all deliberating extensively, but to little effect. Having entered the hospital at three or four in the morning, it was now almost twelve hours, and everybody was afraid to blink, lest they miss a change in Zhuangzhuang’s condition.
Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue were beside themselves with anxiety, their eyes red-rimmed, almost as if they’d cried blood.
On the large hospital bed, Little Zhuangzhuang lay small and frail, and if one didn’t listen closely nearby, it was almost impossible to hear his weak breathing, barely seeing the rise and fall of his chest.
Seeing his little son like this, Feng Qingxue’s tears streamed down without stopping.
Those tears, nearly turned red.
Hearing of Zhuangzhuang’s critical condition, many friends came to visit.
"What did the doctor say? How’s Zhuangzhuang doing?" Fang Ning and Yang Fengying were terribly anxious, Fang Ning couldn’t help but say, "Didn’t you say there was a talisman protecting him? How could he have fallen ill again?" And so severely at that.
