Bai Xue followed her inside to see her and a young man each holding a child; the one in her arms was crying the loudest, which made the one in Feng Qingxue’s arms start to fuss as well.

The crying of three voices rose and fell in turn.

"Why are they all crying? Are they hungry?" Bai Xue put down the basket she brought at the foot of the kang and approached Feng Qingxue.

Every time the three children cried, Feng Qingxue felt her head was about to explode leaving her no time to engage with Bai Xue.

"Tianzhi, hold Xiongxiong for a moment, and let Aunt Tian make some formula milk."

Hearing Feng Qingxue’s words, Lu Tianzhi, who was waiting to help, immediately came forward to take Xiongxiong, freeing Tian Ling’s hands to make two bottles of formula milk. Dundun stopped crying as soon as he got his bottle, but Xiongxiong had to cry a bit longer to express his grievances before taking the pacifier and guzzling down the milk much quicker than his brother.

Feng Qingxue turned her back to feed her youngest son. The little guy sulkily sucked on his own portion, taking forever to eat, then when switched to the other side, he dawdled for just as long, while Dundun and Xiongxiong had already had their fill and even had their diapers changed.

Bai Xue held Xiongxiong, "Xiongxiong, Xiaoxiong, come on, give us a smile."

A child just over a month old had no such awareness. Unconsciously, he flashed a toothless smile, delighting Bai Xue immensely.
