"Exactly, cousin, you’d better appreciate a good deed!" Feng Qingyun said, as she gently swept the broom over the surface of the spread-out wheat, sweeping away the husks and chaff floating on top to prevent them from covering the grains beneath and blocking the sunlight. Carefully, she moved these residues to Miao Fengqin’s side, then used a winnowing basket to separate them.

Among these residues were still some grains of wheat, too precious for anyone to simply ignore.

"Never mind her, lazy enough to wish she could just sleep at home every day." Miao Fengqin poured the separated grains back into the batch that was being sun-dried, then swept up the wheat husks and chaff that Feng Qingyun had brushed over into a winnowing basket for another round of tossing and turning.
