Baby Serendipity: The Whole World Fell In Love With Me
Chapter 636 - 635: Can I continue to scare people as long as I work for you?

Chapter 636: Chapter 635: Can I continue to scare people as long as I work for you?

Combining reality with illusion is what makes the Ghost House even more fun.

Moreover, simple illusions are not interesting. By placing the core of the Array in the ghosts inside, and combining the two, infinite transformations become possible.

Tan Yanfei found Mianmian staring at her with shining eyes and was taken aback, "What, what are you doing?"

Mianmian chuckled, "Mianmian wants you to work for her~"

Tan Yanfei: "What? You actually want ghosts to work for you! You kid, you’re terrifying! Aren’t you supposed to enjoy yourself after becoming a ghost?"

Mianmian blinked her eyes, "So you don’t want to work, huh? Then there’s no use going to the Supernatural Management Bureau, they require you to work too."

Lately, Po Tian and Fen Tian of the New God Faction haven’t been causing trouble, but reportedly, those they’ve subdued are still diligently developing Believers.

The cultivators and ghosts taken in by the Management Bureau are all helping to locate members of the New God Faction, and that is their job.

"Ah, I have to work even if I go to the Management Bureau, so why should I bother going?" Tan Yanfei was massively reluctant.

Only after dying did she experience the joys of the mortal world. Who would want to be constrained? Plus, scaring people is really fun; every time she scared someone, it seemed to make her a little more powerful.

"If you go to the Management Bureau, you have to chase down bad guys like the policemen do. But if you come to work for Mianmian, you can keep scaring people."

Mianmian dangled her bait.

She had heard from her mother that some ghosts cultivated through others’ fear. Consuming those emotions of fear could make them stronger.

It seemed Tan Yanfei had grasped such a law and in the future, she could continue cultivating in this way.

"Really? If I work for you, I can continue scaring people?" Tan Yanfei laughed uncontrollably, "What a deal, haha."

Mianmian: "Of course, but you can’t scare Mianmian’s customers to death. You need to control the illusion based on their deepest fears, keeping it within a controllable range. If a customer gets scared to death, Mianmian’s Amusement Park would have to close."

"No problem, no problem," Tan Yanfei readily agreed, floating around in delight before curiously inching closer to Mianmian, "What about those bus ghosts you brought back? Can they work for you too? They seem to have a talent for scaring people too."

Bus ghosts?

Mianmian recalled the experiences of the group of bus ghosts.

They had saved quite a few people who went out late at night and were followed by bad guys, scaring the villains away and frightening the saved people off the bus.

Thinking it over, the bus ghosts weren’t bad either.

"And those ghostly soldiers," Tan Yanfei mentioned before drifting away, "Little Auntie, just wait here. I’ll go and ask if they want to join me in working to scare people."

Tan Yanfei was willing to ask around, so Mianmian was too lazy to bother further.

Her great-great-nephew had said that a qualified leader should let their staff work on their own and think about how to make money for themselves, while also strengthening the Company to achieve a win-win situation.

Thinking of the staff, Mianmian made a phone call to Su Chenjin.

Su Chenjin answered almost instantly.

"Little Auntie, do you have something urgent to tell me?"

Mianmian explained the reason for her call: "Great-great-nephew, about hiring Ding Yao to manage the Amusement Park, when can she start working?"

Su Chenjin: "She’s passed the interview. I plan to have Jin Tai train her for a few days and let her double as your administrative Secretary. That way, Little Auntie, you can relax."

Her great-great-nephew always thought of everything!

"Kisses to my great-great-nephew, you’re the best," Mianmian gratefully thanked Su Chenjin with sheer joy before hanging up and getting busy with drawing talismans again.

The Zoo needs a lot of talismans, and so does the Amusement Park.

If she truly relies on others for help, she might need to take in two disciples proficient in drawing talismans.

Such disciples are hard to find; after all, drawing talismans requires channeling the Spiritual Qi of Heaven and Earth, and one must have stepped into the Cultivation Realm to do so. Otherwise, how could they draw upon the Spiritual Qi?

This matter couldn’t be rushed.

After a busy day, Mianmian finally prepared enough Talisman Paper to reopen the park twice and, stretching lazily, she leaned back in her chair to daydream.

"Wonder where that fox went off to," the voice of Black Tortoise suddenly filled the room.

Mianmian then remembered that she had playfully asked Uncle Xuan Wu to help her deal with a fox up to no good, and Uncle Xuan Wu had left the house.

"Uncle Xuan Wu, thanks for your hard work. You’re finally back. Mianmian was so anxious waiting for you," Mianmian always was generous with sweet nothings towards those who helped her, aiming to ensure they’d be willing to help again.

Black Tortoise, listening to her soft and sweet voice expressing her longing and care, felt the resentment of not being able to play his games because he was chasing a fox around, somewhat lessened.

"Knowing that I’ve worked hard, won’t you hurry up and serve me some fruits washed by your own hands?"

"Right away~

Mianmian, the loyal little helper to Black Tortoise, upon receiving the order, immediately teleported to the kitchen.

The head chef, upon discovering Mianmian’s sudden arrival, quickly inquired whether she was hungry.

Mianmian took fruits out of her small bag, "It’s not that Mianmian is hungry. Mianmian is cutting up fruits for everyone to eat. Everyone has been too busy."

Being a considerate boss, she decided to treat all her staff with fruits.

The head chef wasn’t the sort to do everything for the child; when Mianmian said she wanted to cut the fruits herself to make fruit platters, she really let Mianmian do all the work.

Even when Mianmian didn’t hold the knife correctly, the head chef patiently taught her hands-on.

Plate after plate of fruit platters was prepared, and the Servants delivered them where they needed to go; for the last few platters, Mianmian said, "You guys eat; you’ve been working hard too. These are for you."

Fruits were distributed to many hands, and by then Mianmian was utterly exhausted.

After eating dinner, she yawned her way to her room, fighting off sleepiness as she reviewed everyone’s feedback and suggestions.

The feedback from the Zoo was all positive!

Visitors said they had never been so close to animals before.

The highest praise was from a blogger who posted the following: "I always used to hear people say that felines are felines at heart. Lions are cats, leopards are cats, tigers are cats! I didn’t believe it; such big animals, no matter how they resemble cats, they’re not the same! Until I came to Mianmian Zoo, where I got up close and personal with feline animals!"

Attached below was a series of photos of him petting large felines, even including a video of him being licked on the head by a lion.

Under that video, the blogger remarked, "Thank goodness for the Vajra Talisman, or I think their licking could have left my skin ripped and mangled."

The comment wasn’t off base; feline tongues have barbs on them.

The larger the cat, the more menacing the barbs appear.

Even a cat’s licking feels a bit painful to humans.
