Chapter 387: Chapter 386: Why did you take away my Mianmian?
It was a good thing to have someone help take care of Little Auntie, but Su Chenyan hadn’t forgotten his older brother’s instructions to mention anything concerning Little Auntie in the group chat.
So he tagged his brother, who was said to be in a very serious cooperation meeting, fearing there would be no reply. To his surprise, his brother responded immediately.
Su Chenjin: "Ok, arrange for some more bodyguards to go."
With his brother’s word, Su Chenyan felt at ease and confidently entrusted Little Auntie to Situ Jing.
"Then we’ll leave Little Auntie in your care. I happen to have some matters to attend to, and our family’s bodyguards will follow the entire time."
Situ Jing glanced at the bodyguards who were shifting their positions and centering their gravity towards them, feeling rather flattered.
"It’s not so much a favor; I should be the one doing this. Little Auntie is the great benefactor who saved my Zhazha, no problem at all."
After the arrangements were made, Situ Jing took the Su Family’s car with the two children toward Gu Youyou’s home.
Mianmian sat in the car and called Liu Hui, Gu Youyou’s mom: "Hello, Huihui, I’m coming to see Youyou. Are you at home?"
Liu Hui, who was hugging her daughter and watching TV on the couch, was surprised: "Yes, at home, at home, you’ll be arriving soon, right? Okay, okay, yeah, we’re at home."
After saying she’d visit beforehand, Mianmian hung up and started to take out apples from the small bag.
The apples were stored in a cloth bag that she had earlier put in the small bag, first taking out nine. It seemed not much, so she added another three to the bag.
"Is this enough, yeah? Gifts for a visit."
Situ Jing was still surprised to see Mianmian taking out things from her small bag that were larger than the bag itself. She thought about how Mianmian had saved her son and felt that the scene wasn’t too hard to believe.
It was Situ Zha, however, who disdainfully said, "You visit someone and just bring a few apples?"
"These apples are grown by my dad; they’re really delicious and can strengthen the body," said Mianmian as she took out two more apples and gave one to both Situ Jing and Situ Zha, "You should try them too; they’re really good."
Truth be told, the fresh fragrance of the apples already proved their distinction from ordinary apples.
But Situ Jing felt embarrassed to eat it, as she still owed Mianmian a favor.
Situ Zha didn’t hesitate and took the apple: "How delicious can they be?"
He had memories of eating peaches from the Queen Mother, so how could an apple be more delicious than those peaches?
While thinking this, Situ Zha crunched down the apple and even passed the other one to Situ Jing’s hand: "Mom, you try it too, it’s not as good as she says."
Situ Jing felt helpless upon hearing this and raised her hand to knock on her son’s head.
"I told you to be more serious when you talk, not to be so quirky. You, who don’t even like apples, ate it all. How can the apples not be good?" After criticizing Situ Zha, she looked at Mianmian and said awkwardly, "I told him off, Little Auntie. He has a stubborn temper; he just likes to be contrary."
Situ Jing knew her child better than anyone else.
Always so stubborn, but fortunately, that trait came from her and thankfully not from his biological father!
Thinking of Lu You, Situ Jing’s expression darkened once more.
She took a bite of the apple in her hand, the sweet taste making her feel better, and so she smiled at Mianmian: "It really is delicious. Your dad is so talented."
When Situ Jing complimented her dad, Mianmian was ecstatic, her eyes curling into little crescents: "Hehehe, Mianmian’s dad is indeed really talented!"
She swung her little feet, her face full of joy.
Situ Zha scoffed and bit into his apple even louder.
Everyone else’s dad is great, only his dad...
Forget it, maybe he was never meant to have a father-son relationship, which is why it’s always like this.
The car pulled up downstairs at the Su Family’s building and with the help of the Servant, parked in the parking lot.
Gu Youyou’s home was situated in North City’s wealthy area, where almost all were standalone villas. Aside from some businessmen, there were also Artists like Liu Hui. With all the luxury cars coming and going, the car Mianmian was in didn’t seem out of place.
Upon exiting the car, Little Bun saw Liu Hui holding Gu Youyou’s hand at the doorway, so she ran over with a big bag of apples.
"I’m here, I’m here, Youyou, how are you feeling? Is your cold better?" she said while standing on her tiptoes, handing the bag to Liu Hui, "This is a gift from Mianmian, apples brought down from the mountain. Eating them can make you strong and healthy. Youyou, eat more and you won’t get sick."
Hearing that it was apples, Liu Hui glanced at her daughter beside her.
Gu Youyou didn’t like hard fruits like apples; her home was stocked with softer ones like grapes and bananas. However, since these were from Mianmian, Youyou would probably eat them, and happily too, right?
Just like Liu Hui thought, after hearing Mianmian’s words, Gu Youyou immediately said, "Mommy, mommy, please ask Auntie Wu to help cut them. Let’s eat apples together?"
Mianmian’s apples, no matter how much Gu Youyou disliked them, would be eaten with joy.
After saying this, the little one peeked at Mianmian’s wrist.
Seeing the diamond bracelet she had given her friend worn properly on the wrist made her even happier, so much so that two long snot worms oozed out from underneath her little nose.
Noticing the snot worms, Mianmian took out a small handkerchief to wipe Gu Youyou’s nose, doing so very gently and meticulously.
Gu Youyou was extremely happy, smiling like a blossoming flower.
Mianmian came to see her, and Mianmian even wiped her nose for her! Mommy said that Mianmian was thinking about her when she came to visit, hehe, she missed Mianmian too.
While Gu Youyou was on cloud nine, as if walking on cotton, the face of Situ Zha suddenly appeared in front of her.
With his hands in his pockets, Situ Zha lifted his head to address Gu Youyou, who was looking at him, "Yo, long time no see."
Gu Youyou immediately furrowed her brows, hugging Mianmian tighter, "Why are you at my house?"
Situ Zha, seeing Gu Youyou’s defensive stance, curled the corners of his mouth, amused, and purposely said, "My mom brought her over to your house; it was her family who asked my mom for this favor."
The implication being that Mianmian and his family were close, which is why she was brought here.
Gu Youyou understood the underlying meaning in Situ Zha’s words and clenched her fists, "Hmph, if I was there, they would have definitely asked me to bring Mianmian to see me."
The remark made all the adults around laugh uncontrollably.
"That’s not right, Youyou. If they asked you to bring me, wouldn’t you be in Kindergarten?" Mianmian seriously pointed out, "Then you wouldn’t have a cold."
Gu Youyou realized that was true.
She pulled Mianmian by the hand and ran towards the house, their first stop being the restroom.
Mianmian had helped her wipe her nose, so they had to wash their hands, otherwise, they might catch a cold too.
The little one thoroughly served Mianmian, dispensing hand soap with utmost care.
Following behind the two, Situ Zha saw that Mianmian had finished washing her hands, he took her by the hand and led her inside the restroom, casually closing the door behind them.
This sudden move left Gu Youyou standing dazed outside the door, taking quite a while to realize that Mianmian had been whisked away by Situ Zha.
She was so angry that her eyes went round as she knocked on the door, "Open up, open up, why did you take my Mianmian away?"
