Baby Serendipity: The Whole World Fell In Love With Me -
Chapter 218 - 217: Super Busy Mianmian
Chapter 218: Chapter 217: Super Busy Mianmian
The little creature learned quickly and soon mastered the art of meowing like a kitten.
Mianmian then transferred all her knowledge about kittens to the little creature by pressing their heads together. Having learned, it lay on the ground, exposing its belly, and circled around Mianmian’s feet. Its long white-striped tail hooked around gently sweeping Mianmian’s face.
It was too ticklish!
Mianmian giggled and, after she finished laughing, patted the little creature’s head, "Now let’s go out, Mianmian will have Green take you to find Phoenix Fairy, Mianmian has lots of things to do today~"
Today she was the super, super busy Mianmian!
Lu Xuan, who was waiting in the garden, saw Mianmian suddenly appear with a little kitten by her side and silently told herself that nothing should surprise her anymore.
Then, she gently said, "Little Auntie, mom... Old Lady Su told me your guests have arrived."
Mianmian, thinking that her friends had arrived, gave an instruction to Green, "Green, take it to Phoenix Fairy~"
Having said that, she found the two grandnephews who were still fiddling with toys and told them their friends had arrived and they should go welcome them together.
After hearing this, Su Chaoyang and Su Chaoyu took hold of Lu Xuan’s hand and followed behind Mianmian.
Having lived in the Su Family home for so long, Mianmian never felt that it was very big. When living in the mountains, aside from the few hours Little Bun spent learning in the illusions, most of its time was spent running all over the hills and fields.
But now, eager to meet her good friends, Little Bun actually started to complain, "Oh, it’s not so good to have such a big house~"
Upon hearing this, Lu Xuan called to a maid passing by, "Little Auntie wants to get to the reception hall quickly, could you help out?"
The maid, guessing that the second lady and the two young masters would be going too, called for other servants using a headset, and together they carried the little ones toward the reception hall.
In the reception hall, both Elder Su and Old Lady Su were present, along with Su Chenjin who had dealt with an emergency at the company early in the morning and then rushed back.
The little auntie signing a contract for a movie was a big deal, and Su Chenjin felt one absolutely couldn’t be negligent and had to be there in person.
With Chenjin present, Jin Tai was there too.
Now, in the reception hall’s sofa area, the Su Family members were seated in the central main seats, Jin Tai sat on the right, while Wei Kang and Liao Xuan sat on the left.
The two young men, who had just graduated, were as uneasy as if on pins and needles, incessantly drinking tea in their hands.
They regretted arriving so early!
Because they were coming to the mansion of the wealthiest man in town to sign a contract, and as they both rented a house together, they intuitively spent the entire night awake. In the morning, thinking that since they were already up, they might as well get ready and check out the address Jin Tai gave them nearby to see if the Su Family really would receive them.
Wei Kang was from North City and had heard about the etiquette of wealthy families receiving guests.
If someone sent an invitation, and the villa had a large courtyard, the host would station a butler at the gate beforehand to prevent any guests from not being received properly.
They just wanted to look from a distance outside the manor’s iron gate and see if a butler would come out when it was nearly time. If so, they would smoothly introduce themselves as the ones who had arranged to sign a contract with the Su Family’s little auntie. If not, they would call the number for Jin Tai on the business card.
Who knew that right when they arrived, from a distance of about 50 meters through the gaps of that iron gate, they’d be spotted by the manor’s patrolling bodyguards and brought to the front of the manor.
The butler welcomed them with a smile, asking if they were Mr. Wei and Mr. Liao, then said he would inform the hosts and invited them to wait inside the courtyard.
After a short wait, they were brought into the reception hall.
At first, Old Lady Su and Elder Su chatted briefly with them, saying the little auntie had something to take care of and would join them shortly, and they should make themselves comfortable and take a seat, which initially made them feel quite relaxed.
After all, Elder Su and Old Lady Su were elderly and appeared kindly and inoffensive.
But before their seats even warmed up, Su Chenjin, the one in power at Su Group, arrived.
The young and accomplished man had a noble air around his eyes and brows. His upward tilting eyebrows seemed like blades, unintentionally casting a glance their way, causing them to tremble uncontrollably.
The two even thought, "Was it a mistake to get a makeup trial at a highly-rated studio this morning to look more spirited? Did we simply irritate the boss for no reason?"
"I, I need to use the toilet." Liao Xuan patted Wei Kang, who was sitting on the neighboring sofa, and said in a low voice.
Wei Kang responded in a low voice as well, "Brother, I, I also want to."
Jin Tai sat opposite the two, gave a light chuckle, stood up, approached them, and whispered, "Let’s go, I’ll take you to the restroom."
Wei Kang and Liao Xuan breathed a sigh of relief, smiled at Elder Su, Old Lady Su, and Su Chenjin, and then got up to follow Jin Tai to the restroom next to the Reception Hall.
Jin Tai whispered, "You don’t have to be so tense. Since Little Auntie has recognized you, that’s your free pass from death, understand?"
By this time, Liao Xuan had become more familiar with Jin Tai and was now looking at him with tear-filled eyes as if he had seen his own brother, "Big Brother Jin, you’re just like my real brother. Our boss Su is too terrifying, sitting there like an icy mountain, I..."
Liao Xuan hadn’t finished his sentence when Wei Kang slapped his arm, "Liao Xuan, shut it, don’t speak nonsense."
After scolding his brother who was about to make up stories about Su Chenjin, Wei Kang gave Jin Tai an apologetic smile, "Assistant Jin, my friend is a bit simple and honest, he means no harm."
Jin Tai pushed up his glasses, smiled, and a glint flickered in his eyes as he said in a low voice, "Actually, I also think our boss Su is like an iceberg. It’s really stressful working with him every day. However, he is fair in reward and punishment, a good leader. And soon, you’ll see what it means for an iceberg to melt and the sun to warm like spring."
Just a simple word of agreement with Liao Xuan made him relax, "You think so too? Then I’m not scared anymore."
Wei Kang, however, gave Jin Tai a meaningful look, appreciating how effectively the assistant had acted. By taking them out, he not only alleviated their anxiety but also managed to become one of Liao Xuan’s own in just a few words.
After finishing their business, washing and drying their hands, they followed Jin Tai to scent their hands with the aromatherapy provided on the wash basin.
Wei Kang suddenly said, "Liao Xuan, get ready, Little Auntie is here!"
"Really?" Liao Xuan quickly adjusted his suit.
Jin Tai gave Wei Kang a curious glance.
The buildings of the Su Family Manor were constructed with soundproof materials, and one couldn’t hear any sound from outside while in the toilet. How did Wei Kang know Little Auntie had arrived? Was he just guessing?
As the three of them walked out, they indeed saw several figures at the other entrance of the Reception Hall.
The Little Bun being held by a uniformed maid was frowning at the floor and speaking urgently, "Bai Bai, Dahuang, Xiaohuang, don’t bully it!"
This admonishment obviously had no effect.
So Little Bun got serious, employing a mother’s skill to make a child obey, "I’m getting angry, 1, 2, 3, stand at attention!"
On the floor, a little white dog that had been chasing after a white cat and two little yellow chicks stood in line neatly and stopped moving the moment Little Bun counted to three.
The little white cat also stopped chasing and lined up behind the three.
Seeing the small animals obediently lining up amazed both Liao Xuan and Wei Kang.
But recalling the information they had hastily reviewed about Little Auntie yesterday, they felt it was only normal—after all, the Su Family’s Little Auntie was a master of metaphysics, something not ordinary for a child!
