Chapter 130: Chapter 129: Did the Emergency Call Go Through?
"The car will have a speed limit," Su Chenjin explained to Mianmian, "Little Auntie, do you see that crossbar over there? That’s an electronic eye that manages the traffic, if it catches any violations, we will be pulled over by the traffic police uncle for a scolding."
Having heard the explanation, Mianmian nodded, "Then there’s really no choice."
She leaned on the window, tensely waiting for the car to reach the position.
Seeing this, Su Chenfei took out his mobile phone to send a message to his elder brother.
"Big Brother, Second Brother’s life is important, just use the Flying Sword and remain invisible on the return, no one will even notice. You have no idea how strong Little Auntie is, her swordsmanship is super amazing! We won’t fear anyone who comes!"
Seeing his seventh brother so arrogantly complacent, Su Chenjin only texted Su Chenfei one thing, "You practiced martial arts for a while when you were little, during that martial arts competition, Fifth Brother taught you a secret move that even the teachers didn’t know, and told you to use it only in the finals. You didn’t listen and used it in the preliminaries, do you remember what happened in the finals?"
Once reminded by Su Chenjin, Su Chenfei also recalled that incident. In his smug complacency, he had used his secret move too early, and the next day in the finals, the move was directly countered by his opponent, losing him the championship.
He had cried for many days over it!
Su Chenjin continued typing, "I asked you to tell me everything about Little Auntie, as of now, all the enemies Little Auntie has encountered have been wiped out, the stealth technique hasn’t been exposed, but that Sect in the shadows might still target Little Auntie. The less we reveal our trump cards, the better, understand?"
While typing, Su Chenjin glanced sideways at Su Chenfei.
He thought after Qin Tao’s incident, his seventh brother would have matured, but there was still so much room for improvement.
Su Chenfei felt afraid looking at Su Chenjin’s cold gaze, and quietly moved a bit closer to Mianmian. Big Brother, it’s just that he truly believes their Little Auntie is the most powerful in the world; there’s nothing wrong with that. Besides, isn’t Second Brother in grave danger? Why is Big Brother still so indifferent?
Looking at that expression, it was as if he didn’t care about Second Brother’s safety at all.
When Su Chenjin saw the defiance in Su Chenfei’s eyes, he frowned slightly. That was his blood brother; how could he not care?
At Su Chenyi’s house, Su Chenyi’s twin sons were now hiding in the toilet, each clutching a mobile phone just like Mianmian’s, making phone calls.
The younger brother, Su Chaoyang, asked softly, "Brother, did the call to the police go through?"
His brother, Su Chaoyu, shook his head, his brows knitted tightly, "What about you? Have you gotten through to Grandpa, Grandma, or any uncles?"
"No either," Su Chaoyang said with a slight sob in his voice, "Brother, should we not have lied about seeing ghosts, insisting on moving out?"
When Su Chaoyu heard his brother was on the verge of tears, he quickly put down his phone and hugged him.
He regretted it too.
Their household had too many people supervising them, and Grandpa and Grandma wouldn’t let them see their mom, or maternal grandparents, which felt very restrictive. In order to see their mom and gain some freedom, they conspired to create a pretext to persuade their dad to take them and move out.
After seeing a scene in a TV drama about ghosts, they thought this excuse would work, as seeing ghosts at any place is a big deal for kids!
So they cried and whined at home every day until their voices were hoarse, they even secretly called their maternal grandparents and mother. Eventually, their dad who was always preoccupied with painting listened to their suggestion and took them out.
They originally thought that escaping from the big prison of the Su Family, they would be free like birds and run straight into their mother’s arms, but then their mom went abroad again.
If they couldn’t see mom, staying at their maternal grandparents’ would be nice too. Their grandparents treated them so well; there weren’t as many servants at home always watching them, restricting what they could eat.
Without realizing it, the two little guys ended up with upset stomachs, battling a severe flu and acute gastroenteritis, and had to stay in the hospital for a long time, constantly receiving IV drips.
Their dad, worried about them, took care of them at the hospital and didn’t even attend Grandpa’s birthday banquet, only sending gifts.
They thought after suffering so much, their dad would pay more attention to them and not disappear into his studio for a week at a time without showing his face. But Dad was still the same.
So they went to stay at their maternal grandparents’ again, only to be insulted by their cousin for not going home and burdening others. They had no choice but to return here to be taken care of by a nanny.
Spending all day with the nanny, the nanny, seeing the dad didn’t like to come out and manage things, didn’t take good care of them, and didn’t cater to their food and drink preferences.
Su Chaoyu and Su Chaoyang really wanted to go back home, but remembering how they insisted on seeing ghosts in order to leave and said so many hurtful things to their grandparents, they felt embarrassed.
A few days ago, their uncle came to visit, and they thought he was there to take them back home, but instead, he just made them wear those amulets!
He said the amulet was given by their great aunt, and if they encountered a ghost, it would drive the ghost away.
There are no ghosts in the world, it was all made up by them! It must be Grandpa and Grandma not wanting them to return home, so they deliberately sent Uncle to say this, just to mock them!
They were young but they understood all this.
That’s why they angrily told their uncle that the thing was too ugly and they didn’t want to wear it.
Now...
The two 5-year-olds, hearing footsteps approaching from the outside, trembled with fear.
Their dad, who had been locked in the studio refusing to let them interrupt six days ago, now had a smile on his face, cooking for them with the nanny. Yet, while cooking, he would speak to the air as if talking to someone, laughing and not knowing what he was saying.
Su Chaoyu and Su Chaoyang felt something was wrong and took precautions, using their Sixth Uncle’s toy car that could record sound to secretly record the conversation between the nanny and their dad. They shockingly heard the two conspiring to trick them into taking off their watches, or to drug them with sleeping pills, and then have their children take over their bodies.
The recording sounded terrifying, prompting Su Chaoyang and Su Chaoyu to decide to run away on the spot, but for some reason, they couldn’t seem to escape the house no matter what.
Realizing their plan had been discovered, the two strangely-acting adults instantly turned hostile, attempting to strike the boys. But their hands couldn’t touch them and instead were propelled away.
Then the adults picked up stools to throw at them, trying to smash them to death.
The brothers, using various objects in the house and toys such as remote-controlled cars, barely managed to dodge the pursuit of the two grown-ups and ran upstairs to hide in the washroom, locking the door to avoid capture.
But what good was hiding for a while?
The two outside were already banging and kicking on the door, and it would probably be broken down soon!
Bang—
The toilet door was smashed with a small hole.
The two brothers hugged each other, shivering in fear.
The face of Su Chenyi appeared in that hole, his eyes rolling around as he gazed at them, his face full of smiles as he said, "My dear treasures, why are you hiding here? Dad has had a hard time finding you, open the door quickly, let Dad come in."
