Chapter 1213 - 1213 64 Reunion with Feng Ying

Chapter 1213: Chapter 64: Reunion with Feng Ying Chapter 1213: Chapter 64: Reunion with Feng Ying Qing Ming, the supreme master, suddenly felt a tinge of envy for the Demon Clan.

At least, the Abyss clan on their side had long been explored and established clear regulations.

Unlike the current situation with Zichen Lake, where nothing was known.

Over the course of several days,

Qing Ming had been summoning representatives from major sects, the Two Palaces, Three Mountains, Four Directions, and Five Lakes.

At the same time, Great Qin issued a deadly command, to relocate!

Feng Yin had been roaming around the area these days.

Not just pondering over strategies,

but because he had a feeling: Feng Ying seemed to be in this region.

No matter how he searched, he couldn’t find where the little fellow was.

“Could it be trapped?”

Feng Yin looked toward the vast lake waters, suspecting that if trapped, it would be inside Zichen Lake.

But where exactly?

Feng Yin had searched an area spanning tens of thousands of miles and still found nothing.

However, he made an unexpected discovery… Why were there so many avatars of the pine tree here?

“It must be that damn Bai Yihwen…”

The pine tree’s avatar said with deep resentment.

Feng Yin almost laughed out loud.

So the pine tree’s grudge against Bai Yihwen had yet to be resolved.

The pine tree was indeed persistent.

Dong Xiaoyan asked curiously, “What’s the grudge between the pine tree and that Bai Yihwen?”

Feng Yin chuckled and answered, “This story is actually related to me.”

He then explained the whole situation to Dong Xiaoyan, concluding with, “…that’s pretty much it. Originally, Bai Yihwen chopped down the pine tree and even dug up its roots. The pine tree has been seeking revenge these years, which is understandable.”

Dong Xiaoyan said furiously, “This Bai Yihwen is despicable. Just letting the pine tree take revenge by itself, how long will that take? We might as well help out. Let’s capture Bai Yihwen!”

Feng Yin coughed softly, “The pine tree has its own ways of getting revenge; we don’t need to interfere.”

“What ways could a pine tree have?”

Dong Xiaoyan was very interested, “How is it getting revenge?”

The pine tree was quite embarrassed but finally mumbled its methods.

Dong Xiaoyan burst out laughing on the spot,

holding her stomach as if she were having convulsions.

“Oh, my stomach!”

Pointing at the pine forest that spread far and wide, she asked in disbelief, “Could it be that… all of this is from Bai Yihwen’s… you know… doing?”

The pine tree was somewhat embarrassed, “Not all of it…”

Feng Yin also couldn’t help laughing, but mid-laugh, suddenly remembered something, “With so many avatars by the lake, have any been devoured?”

The pine tree was stunned, “Devoured? What do you mean by devoured?”

“You haven’t been devoured?”

Feng Yin was taken aback.

The pine tree was also puzzled, “Who would devour me?”

“The fog from Zichen Lake!”

The pine tree was dumbfounded, “That thing can devour?”

Feng Yin held his forehead.

Then his eyes lit up: The pine tree had avatars all over these hills and plains.

And Zichen Lake had been devouring several meters every day for quite some time.

There had to be some effect, right?

“Do you see that part of the lake?”

Feng Yin pointed out.

“I see it.”

“Send one of your avatars into the lake and try it,” Feng Yin instructed.

“I have avatars in the lake,” the pine tree responded.

“!!”

Feng Yin glared, “How does it feel?”

“It’s very damp. If it weren’t for my avatars, but ordinary pine trees instead, they would likely drown. But as my avatars, there’s no issue because I can send energy from any direction.”

The pine tree continued, “However, sending energy into there is, after all, a waste. So, I haven’t bothered with some that reached the lakebed.”

“Does your spirit sense any devouring?”

“No!”

The pine tree answered very firmly.

Feng Yin sighed with relief.

What a turn of light after darkness!

“Now, send one avatar into the lake, try to reach the center. Then see what’s happening there.”

“Alright!”

“And check if your ‘big sister’ is in the lake too.”

“Okay.”

The pine tree never hesitated to follow Feng Yin’s orders.

It immediately set about executing them.

With a thought, a root shot forth from the depths of the earth into the lake’s mud.

It extended toward the center of the lake all the while observing its surroundings.

The pine tree didn’t stop talking,

“There are so many bones in this lake!”

“Bones?”

“Yeah, there are mostly human bones, especially around dozens of meters from the shore… no, more like hundreds of meters, and even more bones further on; they’re much more decayed further in.”

Feng Yin reminded, “Check how deep the bones are buried.”

The pine tree did as told.

“Some are very deep, buried hundreds of meters in the silt.”

“There are shallower places several meters deep.”

“But many are decayed, turned into bone fragments. So, you’d have to add some to the actual depth.”

The pine tree was very thorough in its investigation.

“How many are there?”

Feng Yin asked.

“The number is large. If we count the entire Zichen Lake, the starting count for human bones is in the billions; how many billions, I can’t precisely estimate. Roughly guessing, there are at least several billion. There are innumerable Demon Beast bones, Spirit Beast bones, and countless ordinary animal bones… all starting in the billions as well.”

The further the pine tree went, the more hair-raising it felt.

How could there be so many?

Feng Yin felt just as startled.

Indeed, how could there be so many?

Zichen Lake wasn’t that old, just over fifty years or so!

Back when Yan State was pacified, there hadn’t been any major battles in this area.

So where did all these human bones come from?
