Chapter 1066 - 1066 28 The Nerves The Great Dao 2 in 1 _4
Chapter 1066: Chapter 28: The Nerves, The Great Dao [2 in 1] _4 Chapter 1066: Chapter 28: The Nerves, The Great Dao [2 in 1] _4 Everyone listened intently, with concentrated minds and quiet hearts.
“So for them, this flower already encompasses their entire world. In the places we can’t see, there might also be armies upon armies, or perhaps struggles within the martial world, or maybe even battles for supremacy across seven nations… Who knows? But if we observe closely, we can realize that this flower might not be just a simple flower after all.”
Feng Yin said softly, “In other words, this is, ‘a single flower is a whole world.'”
Everyone fell into a long silence, unable to speak for quite some time.
Feng Yin’s explanation was meticulous and illustrated with a tangible example, making it not difficult to understand; but what deeper meaning did these theories, this knowledge hold?
If the Dao De Jing is unattainably high, the spiritual scriptures within reach, then this statement of ‘a single flower is a whole world,’ while seemingly easy to understand, is actually as elusive as the moon seen in the water, still impractical!
Feng Yin spoke again, “Elder, please consider, if we extrapolate from here to there, using ourselves as a reference, who knows if there exists a larger world beyond this peaceful continent of ours? In the places we cannot see, could there be countless powerful beings? In the eyes of those from beyond the heavens, might our peaceful continent, too, be just like this flower?”
At that moment, all the formidable warriors were struck with awe, their eyes involuntarily widening.
Although they were in a cave, everyone gazed up into the distant skies, as if they could see beyond the heavens, beyond the endless void, where gods and demons dwelled.
All of them wore solemn expressions.
These were all powerful individuals with the ability to sense the divine, and naturally, they were deeply moved by Feng Yin’s words.
For ordinary people, these words might sound like a fanciful tale.
But for them, it was as awakening as the evening drum and the morning bell.
They had long sensed it, the apparent existence of a greater world.
Feng Yin said quietly:
“So, in the eyes of those beyond-the-heavens powerful beings, might we not appear as insignificant as the tiny creatures within this flower… They might not even be aware of our existence, while we still struggle and strive with all our might, exhausting everything we have? In their eyes, might we also be too trivial to even glance at?”
Everyone fell into a deep silence once more, wordless for a long time.
Feng Yin quietly said, “I have also heard a saying, ‘Within the body of a human lies a universe of its own.'”
Qing Ming, the great honor, trembled and suddenly looked up, “What do you mean by that? Please enlighten us, Doctor Feng!”
Feng Yin furrowed his brows in recollection. In this moment, the knowledge from his previous life came into play.
Though he wasn’t an expert in anything, he could dabble in everything.
This strange trait finally shone brightly in this other world.
And reached an apex of impressiveness.
He slowly said, “In ancient times, there were true sages who harmonized with heaven and earth, grasped Yin and Yang, breathed the essence of life, stood independently guarding the spirit, unifying their muscles as one; thus, they could live as long as heaven and earth without end, for this is how they became akin to life itself.
In middle ancient times, there were supreme beings whose virtue was whole and whose way was complete, harmonious with Yin and Yang, in tune with the four seasons, detached from worldly life, accumulating spirit; they wandered between heaven and earth, perceiving beyond the eight directions, thus extending their lifespan and becoming mighty, also returning to the true sages.”
This discourse left the listeners rapt.
Feng Yin coughed, what was next again, he forgot.
So he skipped ahead and said, “The Yin and Yang of the four seasons are the root of all things. Thus, the sages nurtured Yang in spring and summer and Yin in autumn and winter, following their root; hence, they floated and sank with the gate of life and growth of all things. To go against this root is to cut at one’s own foundation, destroying one’s truth.
Therefore, Yin and Yang, and the four seasons, are the end and the beginning of all things; the foundation of life and death. To oppose them brings about disaster, to follow them means diseases scarcely arise, this is called obtaining the Way.”
Feng Yin didn’t have much left in his belly.
If he continued to copy, it would get a bit obvious.
He shifted to his own interpretation and said, “Our bodies are the greatest treasure troves of our lives, also known as the raft that carries us through the world. Sometimes, we believe we have developed our body’s potential to its limit, but in reality, we are far from it.”
“For instance, our bloodline, muscles, hair, nerves, bones, have we really utilized every single particle? Not to mention our brains, the brain matter within… Have those truly been maximized?”
“Far from it.”
Feng Yin said, “I once heard of a giant who existed before the heavens and earth, who cleaved the chaos with his power, upheld the heavens with his hands, and ultimately, this sage transformed his own body into the earth, his bones turned into mountain ranges, his blood flowed into lakes and seas, and the breath from his chest became the Yin and Yang…”
“This might be a legend, or maybe it’s not. Because those who attain this realm know that this heaven and earth were originally nonexistent! Many tens of thousands, or even billions of years ago, this heaven and earth might not have existed.”
“Then where did it come from?”
Feng Yin said, “My understanding is as follows, if we regard our consciousness as the azure sky, our body as the great earth, our bones as the mountains, our hair as the forests, our blood as the lakes and seas? Our brain matter as vast spaces? Our internal organs as the five elements? Our guts as the cycle of the six paths of reincarnation…”
Feng Yin said, “Well? How about that?”
Qing Ming and the others remained silent, their breathing even calming down.
This understanding pointed straight to the Great Dao.
They all knew that this was Doctor Feng’s personal insight.
But that he was willing to share it was a great favor.
And it also served as thanks for everything they had done for him before.
But this gift was incredibly precious.
It was a new direction for cultivation!
