Daniel didn't answer right away. He fell silent, lost in thought.

Legally, the custody of Tiana still belonged to her parents.

They didn't even have any real relation to the girl. He was pretty sure the only reason she was even here was because August had interfered.

But things might not go that smoothly in the official court hearing scheduled for two weeks from now.

"Tiana, you're seventeen now, right? You'll be legally independent next year. Having a custody court for someone your age is just stupid," Daniel sighed.

Tiana nodded. She knew very well how ridiculous such a court case was for someone her age. But the law was the law—unchangeable.

"The only real option is for you to speak in court about the abuse you've gone through. If you do that, there's nothing they can do," Daniel said.

"We've thought about that, too, but… we're scared they might bribe the judge or something like that. Some of their relatives have government positions," Alice said.

"You don't need to worry about that. When it comes to money, trust me—there's no one in this city richer than your brother. As for political influence, I've got that covered too," Daniel laughed.

Thanks to all the gold coins he found in the Endless Spirit Mountains, he was currently filthy rich.

Fortunately, he could sell those coins even in this world and receive Zen for them.

"So we really don't need to worry?" Tiana asked with a spark of hope in her eyes.

"Of course not. Leave it to me," Daniel replied with a smile.

"Thank you so much!" she said, smiling warmly.

Meanwhile, Liana watched the scene with a smile and tears in her eyes. When was the last time her family felt this lovely and full of life?

"Oh right, honey—two weeks from now, the school year ends. When are we going to the capital?" she suddenly remembered to ask.

"We'll take care of everything for the move after the court. You're okay with moving to the capital, right, Tiana?" Daniel said, popping a piece of bread into his mouth.

"I'm fine with it as long as you're okay with me staying."

"Of course we are! From now on, we're sisters!" Alice hugged her friend tightly.

"By the way, now that I think about it—you didn't reject the offer from the Fallen Sun Guild, did you?"

"I didn't reject it… but I haven't accepted it either," Tiana said, shaking her head.

"Then you should probably accept it."

They chatted a bit more after that, and the two girls asked some questions about the Celestial Domain and Daniel's adventures.

Daniel answered as many as he could until he finished breakfast, then got up to change clothes and take them to the academy.

"Mom, I've gotta stop by the Awakened Association later, so I'll pick these two up at noon," Daniel told Liana.

"No problem. Just be careful, all of you."

"Don't worry. Also, I sent some money to your account."

"Some?" Liana took out her phone to check. Last time, her son had deposited way too much, and she was afraid he did it again.

"One million?!!" Her eyes widened at the number.

"That's way too much!"

Daniel didn't give his mom time to recover from the shock. He immediately left the house with the two girls and got into the car.

"Alice, I sent money to your account too. I don't have Tiana's account, so I sent hers to you as well. Let me know if it's not enough," he said as they drove.

In fact, when he'd gone back to his room to change, he'd checked his phone and saw that over 20 million Zen had been transferred to his account by the Awakened Association.

So he had no shortage of money at all.

"Thanks a ton, best brother in the world!" Alice kissed Daniel's cheek from the back seat.

"You really didn't have to…" Tiana said shyly, feeling a bit awkward.

"No need to feel bad. You're like a sister to me now too," Daniel said softly.

Tiana felt a warm feeling inside and was about to say something, but Alice didn't let her and quickly changed the subject.

When they arrived at the academy, the two girls got out of the car and waved goodbye before heading inside.

But Daniel didn't leave right away. Instead, he summoned Nariok.

"Keep an eye on them," he told him, and Nariok bowed before disappearing into the shadows.

After that, Daniel drove to the Awakened Association. Once he arrived, he parked the car and sent a message to the chairman.

He waited a bit for a reply, but luckily, it didn't take long. His phone buzzed.

Once he confirmed August was available, Daniel got out of the car and entered the building, heading straight to his office.

Knock knock!

"Come in."

"Hello, Mr. August. It's been a while," Daniel entered the office and smiled at the familiar older face.

"Ha ha! Hey, kid. Yeah, I haven't seen you in a month," August stood up and came over to shake his hand.

"I got caught up a bit in the Celestial Domain," Daniel replied with a grin and sat down when August gestured toward the seat.

August also sat across from him.

"Whatever happened, it really worked out for you," the Chairman said with surprise, sensing Daniel's power.

Just a month ago, Daniel had been Rank D. Now, he was Rank C. But that wasn't what shocked August.

It was the sense of danger he felt from Daniel. It was extremely faint—almost ignorable—but it was still there.

What a joke. He was a Rank A Awakened! How could an eighteen-year-old Rank C kid make him feel even the slightest bit of danger?

'What happened to him in the past month that made him this powerful? With growth like this, maybe he really could enter the Dragon and Phoenix gathering... he might even take first place.'

August never thought he would see a genius like this in such a city.
