Awakening of the Mind Sovereign -
Chapter 41: the Energy Levels
Chapter 41: the Energy Levels
The world was vast, filled with mysteries and forces that shaped the destinies of those who lived within it. But above all else, one truth remained absolute: power determined everything.
Elliot had spent the first few years of his life absorbing knowledge like a sponge, listening intently to every conversation around him. His parents, Reylan and Elaine, spoke often of strength, of cultivation, of the energy that governed the world. And so, even as a child, he understood—if he wished to survive, if he wished to rise beyond the limitations of an ordinary life, he needed to grasp the fundamental truth of this world.
It all revolved around energy.
The Foundation of Strength
The world, known as the Great Earth, was brimming with energy, an unseen force that every living being possessed from birth. No one was exempt—whether commoner or noble, warrior or mystic, every person was born with an innate connection to energy.
However, that connection was limited. A person’s potential was dictated by their gift—the natural talent they were born with. Some had vast reserves of energy, while others struggled to draw even a fraction of it. But talent alone was not enough. Through intense training and meditation, one could refine their energy, increasing their capacity and strengthening their body and mind.
The process of refining energy was what separated the weak from the strong. Those who mastered it ascended through the realms of power, reaching heights that ordinary people could only dream of.
And at the core of this system were the Energy Levels.
The Five Realms of Energy
Cultivators in the Great Earth advanced through five distinct realms of power. Each realm represented a fundamental change in one’s connection to energy, unlocking greater potential and granting new abilities.
1. World One – Boundary Energy
The starting point for all cultivators. Those in this realm had only just begun their journey, drawing in energy from their surroundings and refining it within their bodies. At this stage, progress was slow, and strength was limited. Most people in the world never advanced beyond this level, remaining forever at the mercy of those stronger than them.
2. World Two – Initial Energy
The second realm marked a cultivator’s true awakening. Their bodies became more attuned to energy, allowing them to control it with greater precision. Techniques became stronger, endurance increased, and the cultivator could start shaping their energy for specific purposes—be it combat, healing, or magical applications.
3. World Three – Unified Energy
This was the realm where true power began to manifest. A cultivator at this stage no longer simply controlled energy; they became one with it. Their bodies and minds were fully synchronized with their energy, granting them incredible physical strength and supernatural abilities. It was at this level that warriors could shatter boulders with a single strike and healers could mend fatal wounds in seconds.
4. Fourth Realm – Celestial Energy
A level that only the most dedicated and talented could reach. Those who entered this realm could manipulate energy on a near-divine level, influencing the environment itself. Their abilities transcended human limitations, allowing them to defy the laws of nature. Legends spoke of cultivators in this realm who could soar through the skies, summon storms, or create weapons forged from pure energy.
5. Fifth Realm – Nominal Energy
The pinnacle of cultivation. Few had ever reached this stage, and those who did were spoken of in myths and legends. Those who mastered Nominal Energy were said to be beyond mortality, existing as forces of nature rather than mere individuals. With a single thought, they could reshape the world around them, bending reality itself to their will.
The Many Faces of Energy
While every cultivator relied on energy, not all energy was the same. It existed in different forms, each with its own properties and purposes. Some forms were common, while others were incredibly rare, possessed only by those with unique gifts.
The most common types of energy were:
1. Power Energy
The foundation of strength. This was the raw, unfiltered energy that warriors and fighters relied upon. It enhanced physical abilities, making the user faster, stronger, and more durable. Swordsmen, martial artists, and knights all depended on Power Energy to dominate the battlefield.
2. Healing Energy
The energy of restoration. Those who wielded Healing Energy could mend wounds, cure diseases, and even extend life. Healers, priests, and mystics specialized in this form of energy, using it to aid those in need. It was one of the most respected—and feared—energies in the world.
3. Mana Energy
The core of magic. Mana Energy
was the fuel behind spells, enchantments, and arcane arts. Unlike Power Energy, which enhanced the body, or Healing Energy, which restored it, Mana Energy allowed cultivators to bend reality, conjuring fire, ice, and lightning at will. Sorcerers, warlocks, and scholars all devoted their lives to mastering this elusive force.Beyond these three, there were rarer, more mysterious forms of energy:
4. Fusion Energy
A hybrid energy that combined multiple forms into one. Those who mastered Fusion Energy could wield both Power Energy and Mana Energy, creating devastating attacks that combined brute strength with arcane might.
5. Light Energy
A pure, radiant force that was said to counter darkness and corruption. It was exceptionally rare and often associated with divine beings and sacred warriors. Those who wielded Light Energy were seen as protectors of the world.
6. The Energy of Resurrection
The rarest and most mysterious of all. Said to be able to bring back the dead under certain conditions, Resurrection Energy was shrouded in myth. Some claimed it was a forbidden force, one that defied the natural order. Others believed it was the key to true immortality.
A Path Unfolding
Elliot absorbed all of this knowledge with an unnatural focus. Even as a child, he knew—this world did not forgive weakness. If he wished to rise, if he wished to survive, he needed to carve his own path through the ranks of power.
His ability, the power to create techniques through written words, was unlike anything he had ever heard of. It did not fit neatly into any of the energy classifications he had learned. Was it Mana? Power? Fusion? Or something entirely new?
More importantly—could he refine it? Could he grow it?
As he sat in the courtyard, staring at the blank parchment in his hands, he felt the first flickers of excitement stir within him.
He was only at the beginning of his journey.
But in a world where energy dictated fate, he would not be left behind.
He would rise.
