Chapter 721: Chapter 103: The Devil Arrested_2 Chapter 721: Chapter 103: The Devil Arrested_2 “Yes, Mr. Xiao Bulang,” Frank said excitedly, using the unfamiliar title.

“You should pick up the weapon in your hand and kill that damn invader and his… his bastard offspring before they lay their hands on you.”

But hearing Frank’s suggestion, Mark was still fearful. For this ordinary shepherd, killing someone was still too terrifying.

“But, but, this is committing a crime! The Empire’s Security Team won’t let me off.”

“Crime?”

Frank leaned in, frustrated and vehement, “You are defending your own property!

You are protecting your father’s honor, guarding your own home! Even the Gods’ Judge would never find you guilty!”

“But…”

Mark curled up next to a pile of hay, his face a mix of anger, worry, and terror.

Frank continued to fuel the fire, declaiming righteously: “Do you want to bring shame to your father?

He is a hero who defeated the Northern Nobility, and you, Mark, I misjudged you, you’re just a coward, only able to watch as your home is invaded step by step, watching your mother grovel to another man…”

“Enough!”

Mark suddenly stood up, shouting violently, his still juvenile cheeks betraying unprecedented ferocity.

Frank was overjoyed, he leaned on Mark’s shoulder, repeatedly praising: “Go face it all, this is what a Hero does, kill all those who have hurt you clean!”

“I will never bring shame to my father, I want to become a hero like him, protecting my own home…”

Mark gritted his teeth, muttering to himself, he picked up a pitchfork stuck in the haystack, turned around, and looked towards the dimly lit house.

Clearly, the invader and his bastard had already gone to sleep, safely in the house left to him by his father.

The moon shone brightly and the breeze was sparse.

Now was a good opportunity.

Mark took big steps towards the house left to him by his father, the young shepherd having made up his mind to eliminate everything with the pitchfork in hand — even if it would lead to dreadful consequences.

Standing at the door of the dilapidated house, Mark took a deep breath, braced himself, telling himself in his heart that he wasn’t wrong, he was just defending his home.

“Go on, Mark, do what you want to do, there’s nothing wrong with it.”

Frank’s voice echoed in his ear, giving Mark even more confidence. He carefully pushed open the door.

“Creeakk–”

Stealthily entering the room, looking at his betraying mother, greedy stepfather, and the young baby, Mark trembled, slowly lifting the pitchfork…

“Think of the injustice you’ve suffered, kill them, kill them…”

Frank’s voice grew increasingly excited, akin to a cheering audience, giving Mark the resolution to act.

He remembered those countless tearful nights, the hostile looks, the mother’s intentional or unintentional neglect…

With that in mind, Mark hesitated no longer.

“This is what you deserve.”

After whispering these words, Mark held his breath, slowly closing his eyes–

“Stop!”

The room suddenly lit up, the dazzling light making it as bright as day; the stepfather, mother, and the newborn baby, all woke up startled.

“Mark, what are you trying to do?” the mother’s scream rang out.

At this moment, Mark was like a burst balloon, all the courage gathered to kill instantly spilling out.

“Quick, kill them! This is your last chance!”

Frank urged desperately, but Mark, as if soulless, trembled in his legs, slowly turning around.

“How, how could…”

Behind him stood several fully armed Tiefling Soldiers, holding brand-new Rifles, their chest badges particularly conspicuous.

—-That is exactly what Mark has been longing for, the emblem symbolizing the Ashen Empire.

Standing at the forefront, the Tiefling points the rifle toward the sky, pulling the trigger, and a loud gunshot echoes.

“Bang!”

“The Imperial Army’s operation, by His Majesty’s command, is here to arrest the Devil that entered the Empire without permission. All others, leave immediately!”

“Is… he a Devil?”

Mark turned his head, looking towards the red-skinned “Wish Elf,” whose face now twisted grotesquely.

Only then did he realize, his close companion was such a terrifying being, and he had almost been beguiled by the Devil, committing heinous crimes!

“Ignorant Mortals!”

The originally child-like, seemingly naive “Wish Elf” screamed shrilly, its face turning ferociously hideous.

A blood-red halo surrounded Frank, exuding an aura of evil and fear.

“Ah!”

“Great Cassius above, what is that?”

Mark collapses in fright, his mother and stepfather panic-stricken, and his newborn brother screaming incessantly, almost fainting.

“Fear, Mortals, for I am Lord Frank, your nightmare!”

Seeing the terrified crowd, the Devil boasted arrogantly, seemingly trying to scare away the Tieflings.

However, the expression of the Tiefling Guard Captain at the front remained indifferent, focused solely on the Devil in front of him.

He coldly said, “A mere little devil, daring to deceive the Imperial Army? Truly courting death!”

The Tiefling wasted no words, simply raising his rifle and firing without hesitation, the rune-etched special bullet whizzing past the little devil.

“Ah!”

Frank clutched his scorched arm, screaming in terror.

He knew he had been seen through by these Devil Descendants!

Frank lost his earlier dominance, quickly raising his hands, smiling sheepishly, “You too are descendants of Devils, we are kin, these Mortals are merely our food, how about this, I’ll connect you with the lords of the Nine Prisons…”

The Tiefling interrupted coldly: “Enough! We are the supreme attendants of His Majesty Cassius, our veins pulse with scorching Dragon Blood, we share nothing with you filthy Devils from Hell!

You have only two choices, surrender, or death!”

Just then, with a soft “pop,” blood-red smoke appeared where once the little devil had stood, now vanished, leaving behind only a harsh curse.

“You damnable bastards! (Purgatory Language)”

The Tieflings didn’t panic, merely turning their heads with a sneer, soon they heard a scream.

“Ah!”

At the doorway of the house, the invisible little devil collided with a pre-set [Evil Barrier], revealing its form, its body charred black.
