Apocalypse: I have a supermarket stocked with supplies -
Chapter 386: What’s yours is yours.
Chapter 386: What’s yours is yours.
Murong Lin overate in his room, his mouth dripping with oil, until he almost barfed by the end.
Fortunately, he didn’t throw up.
He hated to waste food.
But still, he overate.
So, during dinner that evening, Murong Lin unusually poked at his rice grains with his chopsticks for a long time, eating them one by one.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Su Yinhe looked at him dubiously.
"You’re full, huh?" Murong Lin, usually the most enthusiastic about meals, was suddenly not moving his chopsticks.
"No, no, it’s just... I’ve lost my appetite." Murong Lin burped halfway through his explanation.
He quickly covered his mouth with his hand.
Crap, it still hadn’t digested.
Damn.
What was wrong with him today?
The food he ate in the afternoon hadn’t digested by night.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Being stubborn, huh?
Murong Lin always liked being stubborn.
Su Yinhe shook his head and took a bite of his food.
"Alright, as long as you’re happy."
Happy? How could he be happy?
He couldn’t be happy at all.
Seeing all the delicious food on the table that he couldn’t eat was just heartbreaking.
How could he be happy? He just couldn’t be.
He wished he could be one of those people with a bottomless stomach.
Always eating without getting full.
Then he could eat even more.
Murong Lin was heartbroken over his small appetite.
"I’m not happy, I’m not happy at all...", Murong Lin whined.
Su Yinhe: "..."
"If you’re unhappy, just be unhappy. Don’t cry, it’s affecting my meal," Su Yinhe remarked while eating another bite of food.
Murong Lin was silenced by her comments.
"You? What do you mean? I’m like this, and you still have the mood to eat?" Murong Lin stared at her in disbelief.
"No matter what you’re like, she can still eat. Any complaints?" Chi Yan was already upset with Su Yinhe for being distracted from her meal because of Murong Lin, and his anger turned towards Murong Lin as soon as he spoke up.
Hearing this, Murong Lin shrank like a quail, not daring to speak.
"Eat," Chi Yan said indifferently, glancing at him then serving Su Yinhe a bite of food.
"Eating requires focus, got it?" Although he was a bit annoyed she was talking so much with Murong Lin during the meal, he could never really be angry with her, his voice still gentle.
"Oh, sorry," Su Yinhe apologized quietly, focusing diligently on her bowl.
She was just a bit embarrassed sitting with Chi Yan, and tried to shift her attention through Murong Lin but ended up overdoing it.
"Yeah, no hard feelings," Chi Yan softened as he saw her like this.
Then he accidentally caught sight of Murong Lin still poking at his rice, and his gentle gaze instantly sharpened.
"Show some sense."
Murong Lin: "..."
Fine, fine, he’d leave.
He didn’t want to be a part of their play.
Murong Lin grabbed his bowl of mushy rice and slipped away.
Tired, time to rest, he’d eat when he got hungry again.
He finally had someone to share a meal with, no longer a lone wolf.
The meal lasted all the way till deep into the night.
It wasn’t until the late hours that Lin Murong finally digested his meal, and then he started his late-night snack.
Sigh.
How miserable.
Before, his late-night snacks were instant noodles and ham, but now they had turned into plain rice.
That’s, like, a downgrade in spending.
But even if it was a bowl of rice mangled beyond recognition, Lin Murong still relished it with great appetite.
Then, he sneaked off to the supermarket in the dead of night to steal some snacks.
He grabbed a lot, yes, after digesting for hours, he was hungry again and needed to grab more.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t justify his trip in the middle of the night.
Lin Murong took so much he could barely hold it all.
He was greedy, refusing to make two trips and insisted on grabbing everything at once, then he’d walk a few steps, drop something, go back to pick it up, walk a few more steps, drop something again...
It repeated over and over.
The several flights of stairs he walked felt like an endless Great Wall.
When he was almost there, thinking he could see the light of victory, he dropped something again, and his smile stiffened on his face.
Not again, having to pick it up again.
The next second, someone helped him pick up the stuff and placed it back in his arms.
"Thank you," Lin Murong chirped happily, not having to pick it back up by himself.
However...
Who else would be up and about in the middle of the night like him...
Lin Murong suddenly had a bad feeling and slowly turned around.
"Jeez, up so late, playing the thief?" Su Yinhe said, leaning against the wall in her pajamas, smiling mischievously.
"I... I’m not... Galaxy, why are you still up so late?"
"Sleeping early wouldn’t let me catch the thief, would it?" Su Yinhe flashed a menacing smile.
"Thief? That sounds so harsh. I’m just... wuu wuu wuu... okay, I’m a thief," Lin Murong sobbed.
Su Yinhe: "..."
"Come on, it’s fine. Take it, I didn’t scold you," Su Yinhe said impatiently.
Really, it’s like raising a child.
"But you... wuu wuu wuu... are you scolding me?"
"Alright, alright, come in. Take these things inside. If you want to eat, just eat," Su Yinhe kindly opened the door for him.
Lin Murong couldn’t open the door, his hands were full.
"Oh. Galaxy, you’re so nice, such a good person. You’re not holding the ’thief’ thing against me?" After putting down his stuff, Lin Murong sidled up to Su Yinhe.
"What’s there to mind? If you’re hungry, just take. I was just joking. There’s no need to be so nervous." Honestly, Su Yinhe didn’t mind that at all.
The items in the supermarket were infinitely replenished, and Lin Murong alone wouldn’t be able to take much.
Nor could he eat much, so why should she care?
"So... all these are mine now?" Lin Murong pointed at the items he brought up.
"They’re yours, all yours. I’m not competing with you. Just take them," Su Yinhe sighed.
"Yay, thank you. Then may I... eat?" Damn, he was starving.
"Eat, eat anything you want, and if it’s not enough, I’ve got more here," Su Yinhe pulled out some more items from the storage.
"Great, great, Galaxy, you really are... so wonderful," Lin Murong said, biting into a chicken foot and complimenting her.
Su Yinhe: "..."
She thanked him.
"Thanks, just eat. Skipping meals and then stealing at night, you really have your ways," who wouldn’t acknowledge that—he was strong.
"I mean, I was full during mealtime. And now I’m hungry again, what can I do?" If he could eat at mealtime, he definitely would eat. But he was just too full then.
