Apocalypse: I have a supermarket stocked with supplies -
Chapter 367: Waffle
Chapter 367: Waffle
"Fine, you said it, no fooling me," Chi Yan said, looking at her with a serious face.
Su Yinhe met his gaze and, for a moment, actually felt a bit guilty.
That, she couldn’t guarantee.
She was so smitten she was becoming senseless, saying whatever came to mind.
"You promised, why can’t you look at me? Galaxy," Chi Yan spotted her guilt.
"I... cough cough cough, I can’t see very well," Su Yinhe became even more guilty.
Her eyes were darting around everywhere but refused to meet Chi Yan’s.
Chi Yan looked at her and ended up laughing.
He of course knew she felt guilty and also knew what she was thinking, but he didn’t call her out on it, afraid she’d become furious with embarrassment and take it out on him.
Which he definitely did not want.
It didn’t matter, anyway, he would catch her eventually.
"Galaxy, want a waffle?" Chi Yan smoothly changed the subject.
Seeing he didn’t pursue it, Su Yinhe also let out a sigh of relief.
"Yeah, I want one, I’m craving a creamy waffle," Su Yinhe remembered the creamy waffle that the character Guagua was eating in the game she had played.
"Alright, I’ll make it for you," Chi Yan patted her head.
He had been recently studying this.
He still really enjoyed making desserts.
Chi Yan made many, many waffles, Su Yinhe ate two, and the rest were stored away in space.
"They taste so good, how come you can make just about anything?" Su Yinhe praised him.
"Not really, as long as you like them," Chi Yan gazed at her without even blinking.
"Like them, like them, I really like them. Especially like them," Su Yinhe said.
"That’s good," Chi Yan nodded, his face blushing slightly, "Anything else you want to eat, I’ll go make it."
"Anything I want?" Su Yinhe leaned closer, pressing herself against him.
"Mhm," Chi Yan blushed even more.
"Then I want to eat you... mmm... why are you covering my mouth?" Su Yinhe tried to tease him, but before she could finish, Chi Yan covered her mouth.
"You... don’t say that," he was embarrassed.
"Tsks, fine, got it, you’re shy, right?" Su Yinhe said with a knowing expression.
There was a lot to like about Chi Yan, his embarrassment included.
Though that aspect, quite interesting.
Su Yinhe really liked it.
From some perspectives, she was quite the sadist.
Way too sadistic.
Any normal person would be scared of her upon hearing it.
Su Yinhe shook her head.
But, what could she do?
She was just that sadistic.
Chi Yan’s waffles, Su Yinhe ate and also shared two with Lin Murong.
Lin Murong cursed Chi Yan while eating his waffles.
He cursed nonetheless, but that didn’t stop him from enjoying the waffles.
Delicious.
Liked.
After Lin Murong finished, he even licked his fingers, still not satisfied.
"Got any more? I’m not full yet," Lin Murong asked Su Yinhe.
Su Yinhe: "..."
"If you’re not full, go have a meal," Su Yinhe rolled her eyes.
Chi Yan’s waffles, in her opinion, were a snack, a treat to accompany afternoon tea.
She hadn’t even thought about getting full on them, but Lin Murong actually wanted to fill up on waffles?
The Guagua she used to raise had never even had that sort of luxury.
"Then... they’re tasty," Lin Murong relentlessly cajoled, hoping Su Yinhe would give up the remaining waffles.
"Scram, scram, scram. Why don’t you go find Chi Yan? If Chi Yan made it, go bother him. Why pester me?" Su Yinhe was really annoyed.
"Chi Yan... I don’t dare, you know. Galaxy, you have a better temper." Yes, even though Su Yinhe often got angry and beat him up,
in Lin Murong’s opinion, Su Yinhe had a relatively good temper.
Fangfang, Chi Yan, Su Yinhe, among the three of them, Su Yinhe was the one with the best temper.
So, Lin Murong liked to go to Su Yinhe when he had nothing better to do.
"Thanks a lot." It was the first time anyone had ever complimented her on her temper.
"No need to thank me, but about that waffle..." Lin Murong blinked at Su Yinhe, blinking so fast that Su Yinhe thought his eyelids would start cramping.
"Scram."
"Oh. Galaxy, you’re really cold-hearted and ruthless." Lin Murong complained with a look of accusation.
To which Su Yinhe responded with —
"Heh."
The snow kept falling, the kind that didn’t seem to stop.
Su Yinhe and the others had been resting in the supermarket for many days, and she felt like she was falling apart.
She really wanted to do some work.
Clearly, she wasn’t meant for a life of leisure and luxury.
"How about we go back to our base to take a look?" Su Yinhe asked them.
"I’ll follow your lead." That was Chi Yan’s response.
"Yeah, let’s go back and check it out. By the way, what’s our base called again?" That was Lin Murong’s response.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Numb.
Sometimes speechlessness hits you in just an instant.
Although she didn’t quite remember either.
Cough, cough, cough.
But that base was where they had stayed for so long. It was excusable for her not to remember, but for Lin Murong not to remember...
"Are you a pig?"
"I’m not. I’m so smart, how could I possibly be a pig?" Lin Murong wasn’t convinced.
"True. Pigs are quite smart, smarter than you. Saying you’re a pig is somewhat offensive to pigs," Su Yinhe said earnestly.
Lin Murong: "..."
They had left Sun Base a very, very long time ago, and returning now felt like everything had changed.
Snow was falling all over the world now, and Sun Base was no exception.
"I feel like the supermarket moved, yet it didn’t," Lin Murong said as he looked at the heavy snowfall outside.
"I feel the same way." It was all snow, and it was hard to see if anything was better or not.
"So now..." They had returned,
But was there anything to do?
"Let’s just lie down." With such heavy snow, it didn’t seem likely that anyone would come out to shop.
Having moved but feeling as though they hadn’t really moved, thankfully, moving the supermarket only required a little effort and didn’t take much of her energy.
Otherwise, if she had used a lot of effort to move the supermarket only to find there was nothing to do, it would have made her furious.
"Lie down again? I feel like I’m going to waste away. Galaxy, can’t you find something for me to do?" Lin Murong clung to her, asking.
"Me? You’re asking me? How am I supposed to find something for you to do? I’m not your boss. I don’t assign tasks." Su Yinhe wanted to lie down herself, she couldn’t find anything to do herself, how could she possibly find something for Lin Murong to do.
"Exactly. You’re so clever; surely you can think of something." Lin Murong looked at her full of hope.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Please, don’t have such high expectations of her, she really couldn’t deliver.
Su Yinhe rubbed her head, feeling helpless.
"Or you could go find Chi Yan and let him teach you how to make desserts."
Su Yinhe thought this was the best solution.
One, Lin Murong could find a way to pass the time; two, he could learn to make desserts; three, he could assist Chi Yan, so Chi Yan wouldn’t be so tired.
"I don’t want to; he finds me clumsy. He doesn’t like me, and I really don’t want to be annoying," Lin Murong refused.
She didn’t like Lin Murong either. So why was Lin Murong always coming to pester her? Now he wasn’t afraid of being annoying?
