Apocalypse: I have a supermarket stocked with supplies -
Chapter 345: Strawberry Ice Cream
Chapter 345: Strawberry Ice Cream
Su Yinhe: "..."
Bleh~
Good, she successfully disgusted herself.
Su Yinhe had been wondering if it was really okay to just throw Lin Murong out just for liking Snail Noodles.
He could have just stayed in the room to eat.
But after hearing his words, Su Yinhe didn’t hesitate at all and threw him straight out of the supermarket.
If a stone hail started again, she believed Lin Murong would run back by himself.
It was so close, just a few steps away, and Lin Murong was an Advanced Superpower User; if he couldn’t even run back, then he might as well feed himself to the Zombies.
So Lin Murong was thrown out, along with his Snail Noodles and a smartphone.
For watching dramas.
Really, Su Yinhe felt very considerate; she truly was too kind-hearted.
How could there be someone as considerate as her, even worrying about him not having dramas to accompany his meals.
Though Lin Murong didn’t need dramas to make his meals tasty.
He didn’t need to watch anything; whatever he ate was delicious.
But she still gave it to him.
What did that tell you?
That told you she was a gentle, considerate, and kind person.
She was almost falling in love with herself.
Su Yinhe took out a mirror and looked at herself.
Another day of being beautiful both inside and out.
Lin Murong: "..."
By what right, huh?
By what right? What exactly is the reason?!!!
Lin Murong felt like he was going to explode with anger.
Why was it that when he acted coquettishly, he was thrown out, yet when Chi Yan did the same, Galaxy pampered him in every way.
The disparity between people was just too great.
He couldn’t accept it.
What was so good about Chi Yan?
Nothing about Chi Yan was good.
Although he was very frustrated, Lin Murong sat outside, watching dramas and happily began eating the Snail Noodles.
The most important thing in the world was eating.
He would deal with troublesome matters after filling his stomach.
Yes, Su Yinhe was still too good to him, not only giving him a smartphone to watch dramas but also setting up a table and chairs for him.
Even after going inside, she brought him some snacks.
Although they were snacks she was tired of and didn’t want to eat, she gave them to him nonetheless.
She really was a beautiful and kind person.
Su Yinhe touched her face again, admiring her own reflection.
Lin Murong eating Snail Noodles outside the supermarket caught the attention of the customers who were there to shop.
But as much as they looked, they didn’t dare to come too close.
Only a few daring children went over to take a peek.
They all knew that the owner of the Galaxy Supermarket liked children and was more lenient with them.
However, what they knew wasn’t the complete picture; Su Yinhe didn’t like just any kind of children, she favored children who were obedient, sensible, could speak well, and knew how to flatter.
But that wasn’t important, what mattered was that they knew the boss often gave snacks and food to the children.
So now, people who came to the supermarket to shop would surely bring their children if they had any.
Those without children would hire some to come along.
Indeed, hire.
At the Happiness Base, there were actually many children whose parents had died, struggling to survive by themselves.
These kinds of children weren’t particularly liked before.
That’s because many children at the Happiness Base often wandered the streets, stealing things.
They survived by stealing chickens and dogs.
Everyone despised them.
But ever since the supermarket came along, the folks at Happiness Base realized the boss liked children, so they looked at those kids with kinder eyes.
Now many people who don’t have children would go find them, to make trades.
When they buy things, they’d bring children with them, and those kids would try hard to act cute in front of Su Yinhe. If Su Yinhe gave the kids anything, they’d have to share half with the adults who brought them in.
Both sides felt pretty good about it.
Those kids thought they needed a Crystal Core to enter, which they didn’t have, so they believed they could only get in because the adults with Crystal Cores brought them.
They felt they were piggybacking on the adults’ chance to enter the supermarket.
But what they didn’t realize was that they could have entered the supermarket even without a Crystal Core.
They just never thought of it that way, feeling it’d be too much like a pie falling from the sky.
They genuinely felt it was impossible to get such good fortune—they thought without a Crystal Core, there was no way to enter the supermarket.
They now felt they had already received plenty and didn’t dare to hope for more.
Life as it was had already made them very happy.
It’s funny when you think about it, their base was named Happiness Base from the beginning.
But they had lived at Happiness Base for so long, and only recently had they started to feel happy.
The kids who managed to survive on their own in the apocalypse all had the knack for saying the right thing to the right person and were good at reading others.
And they were great at giving compliments.
So any kid who got into the supermarket received something from Su Yinhe.
Dead Galaxy gave away items quite casually, whatever she had, she would give if she felt like it.
She really enjoyed giving them things because they were articulate, they were good at giving compliments, and they never showed disappointment in whatever she gave. They were always happy.
They never displayed disappointment seeing someone before them get a bag of rice while they only received a few candies—no negative emotions.
Every time they would happily take whatever Su Yinhe gave, always excited.
And Su Yinhe felt pretty happy watching them.
So she ended up giving them more and more.
"I feel like the stuff you give away to them is even more than what you sell," Lin Murong said in a faint voice.
He had gotten tired of Snail Noodles and came back to the supermarket.
Of course, what Lin Murong said was an exaggeration—how could the things she gave away be more than the things she sold.
But indeed, she had given away a lot of stuff.
But what did that matter?
She was happy.
Nothing’s more valuable than her happiness.
Lin Murong only made that comment in passing; that wasn’t where his focus was.
He only ever focused on food.
Wasn’t he tired of eating Snail Noodles?
He had switched to something else.
"Galaxy, look at this weather, don’t you think it’s perfect for ice cream?" Lin Murong casually slung his arm over Su Yinhe’s shoulder, speaking in a nonchalant manner, simultaneously winking at her to give her a hint.
Su Yinhe: "..."
What weather?
The weather that had stone rain just yesterday?
Su Yinhe glanced outside and shook her head, "I don’t think it’s suitable."
"That’s okay," Lin Murong said with an exaggerated clap of his hands, "It’s great as long as I think it’s suitable."
Su Yinhe moved her mouth corners without a word, "Then why ask me?"
"Heh heh heh, well, just consulting for your opinion," Lin Murong scratched his head, "I mean, it’s your supermarket. If I want to take anything, I’ve got to ask you. I’m not like some people, who have your favor. Whatever he wants to do, he does, and whatever he does, you wouldn’t get mad."
Without a doubt, that "some people" must refer to Chi Yan.
Lin Murong started to make insinuations again.
Such a strong flavor of gossip.
"Then you’re quite polite."
"Heh heh heh, of course. Politer than some people," Lin Murong transformed into Green Tea Lin.
