Apocalypse: I have a supermarket stocked with supplies -
Chapter 337: Reality is cruel
Chapter 337: Reality is cruel
"Ideals are plump, reality is harsh."
They thought it through very well, a bunch of high-level superpower users going up against Murong alone—it should have been easy to take over the supermarket.
But Murong was no longer that simple Murong.
He was in a bad mood, Murong.
When his mood soured, his combat power soared.
Swish, swish, swish.
Down they went in swathes.
"Ha, you call this level of superpower something to show off? You’re an embarrassment to me. Trash, garbage, big trash, big garbage." After beating them up, Murong didn’t calm down right away and gave a few more fierce kicks for good measure.
Murong didn’t finish them off then and there mainly because this was happening inside a supermarket.
He knew that Su Yinhe didn’t like people making a mess of the supermarket.
So he chose not to kill them inside the market, but rather to move them outside before doing the deed.
His actions were so decisively terrifying.
"Alas, why be so rash?" Murong shook his head, knowing well that one without the means wouldn’t dare to set up shop in such an obvious place.
Even though he wasn’t the one who opened the supermarket, the fact that Galaxy and the others left it in his hands with peace of mind was proof enough that he, too, was capable.
Huh?
The fact that they left so reassured, could it mean they all trusted him and thought he was incredible, that’s why they left so boldly?
Upon thinking this, Murong immediately brightened up.
He had always been good at consoling himself.
Murong had managed to cheer himself up over this.
On the other hand, the three who went out had reached Happiness Base, wandering from here to there.
Fangfang was negligible, but Su Yinhe and Chi Yan, dressed so neatly and with distinguished temperaments, were immediately noticed by many as they set foot in Happiness Base.
Very many people, as it turned out.
They took a few steps, encountered a group, took another few steps, encountered another one.
All of them either wanting to rob or having taken a fancy to them...
Hmm...
It turned out more people were interested in Chi Yan than in Su Yinhe.
Indeed, being good-looking made one popular everywhere.
Su Yinhe reflected.
Chi Yan: "..."
He’d rather not be so popular.
Chi Yan felt quite helpless as well.
They fought and fought until they were absolutely spent.
"If I’d known, I would have kept it low-profile." Su Yinhe sighed, though she had come out hoping for some physical training, she hadn’t expected it to be this intense.
"Do you think we can keep a low profile?" Chi Yan asked her.
Su Yinhe looked at him, then at herself, and realized... low profile was not an option.
One couldn’t just make oneself ugly.
Even if they did, they couldn’t get dirtied. Chi Yan was fastidious about cleanliness, and hanging around him had somewhat influenced her as well.
They would still stand out if they were too clean.
After all was said and done, they couldn’t lay low.
"It’s our fault for being too dazzling. Can’t be helped." Su Yinhe flipped her bangs and lamented.
Fangfang: "..."
Oh no, the boss must have been contaminated by Murong. This eerily familiar lament put it in fear.
Fortunately, Su Yinhe returned to normal after a brief moment.
And so they continued on their way, facing obstacles and fighting through.
"I’m tired, let’s just destroy it," declared Su Yinhe at the end, completely worn out.
She wasn’t the main force, Chi Yan was.
Chi Yan was unwilling to see her struggle, so Su Yinhe always played a supporting role.
But even supporting was tiring.
Probably only Chi Yan wasn’t tired.
But even Chi Yan was getting annoyed.
He was truly annoyed.
So after taking care of yet another head that came their way, Chi Yan seized the moment when nobody had reacted yet to grab Su Yinhe and run.
They ran incredibly fast. Those who tried to stop them couldn’t catch on in time, and by the time they did, the ones they wanted to stop had already vanished without a trace.
Sure, it was fast.
But...
Didn’t you all forget someone?
Fangfang, left behind, felt quite vexed.
Before Fangfang could finish stewing in its vexation, someone spotted it.
"Hey! There’s something else over here!"
They tried to catch it.
Crap, Fangfang thought, and then it too slipped away at an extremely quick pace.
Thanks to its daily battles of wits with Murong, its speed at making an escape had greatly improved.
It quickly caught up to Su Yinhe and the others and fiercely criticized them for forgetting about it.
"How could you not notice me? I’m so big and was just left there. Don’t any of you care?"
Su Yinhe, feeling a bit guilty, touched her neck, realizing with dismay that she really hadn’t noticed.
She didn’t dare say it out loud for fear that Fangfang might jump up and smack her knee.
Su Yinhe genuinely hadn’t noticed, but Chi Yan had, and simply couldn’t be bothered to go back.
It was hard to say whether he did it on purpose since, after all, he had been wanting to be alone with Su Yinhe.
Just when they’d managed to lose Murong, Fangfang was still around.
Actually, this fact displeased Chi Yan.
But he couldn’t show it, as that would make him seem petty.
He wanted to be seen as perfect in Su Yinhe’s eyes.
Without the slightest imperfection.
The chance to ditch a nuisance? He’d take it.
Fangfang cursed and complained, while Su Yinhe took it meekly.
Sometimes it was quite ridiculous—being the boss and still getting scolded by an employee.
Su Yinhe thought of this and wanted to protest, but seeing Fangfang rant in full swing, she kept quiet.
Otherwise, it might get even angrier.
Keep in mind, Fangfang was a robot—it knew every curse word in the book.
Su Yinhe didn’t dare provoke it.
Though she was the boss.
Hmm...
She was the boss.
No, what was the point of being a boss like this?
Absolutely no point at all.
Su Yinhe felt it was quite meaningless.
While Fangfang was on its rant, Su Yinhe was wrapped up in these thoughts and it showed.
Even Fangfang noticed.
"You, you, you! I’m scolding you here! And you’re daydreaming? That’s so disrespectful!" Fangfang was furious.
What was this?
Even the boss had become as annoying as Murong.
"No, no, I was just... um... you saw wrong," Su Yinhe denied vehemently, with a dismissive attitude.
Fangfang felt challenged.
"You’re still denying it? I saw it perfectly clear. Are you questioning a robot’s vision?" Fangfang was angry.
Su Yinhe covered her ears, shaking her head, "I didn’t, I didn’t, I definitely didn’t. I’m not listening, I’m not listening, Fangfang is chanting nonsense."
Fangfang: "???"
What was that?
Oh my.
The boss really had picked up bad habits from Murong, now her mind was all messed up.
Fangfang looked at Su Yinhe and suddenly became sad and disheartened.
It had never anticipated that Murong’s infectious influence was so strong, even the boss was not spared.
The thought of its boss turning out like Murong one day saddened Fangfang deeply.
It was so upset that even chatting with Xiao Hua couldn’t cheer it up.
Fangfang drew circles too.
Su Yinhe: "Hey. What’s wrong with you? You were fine just a moment ago. emo what? No, do robots also get emo?"
