Apocalypse: I have a supermarket stocked with supplies -
Chapter 279: Zhong Yu
Chapter 279: Zhong Yu
He just didn’t understand where he had become so annoying.
Zhong Yu didn’t know, so he rushed over and grabbed Lin Murong to ask.
Lin Murong was on the verge of collapse, he had clearly taken so many supplies and had people watching Zhong Yu. Why could Zhong Yu still find him?
What was the reason?
"Have I made you dislike me? Do you not like me?" Zhong Yu, with teary eyes, demanded an explanation.
Lin Murong tried to pull his hand back, but failed.
"Can... can you let go of me?" Lin Murong felt weird.
"I can’t, not until you answer me," Zhong Yu insisted on getting an explanation.
"It’s not like that, big brother. The way you’re talking, it sounds like we have some kind of secret relationship." The truth was, they had no relationship at all.
"We don’t have a relationship?" Zhong Yu looked at him incredulously, as if Lin Murong was a player.
Lin Murong was even more afraid.
"What kind of relationship... could we possibly have?" Lin Murong was terrified.
"We saw each other every day before and talked so much. How could we not have a relationship?!" Zhong Yu was even more heartbroken.
Lin Murong: "!!! Don’t talk nonsense, please." Lin Murong was scared, really scared.
What kind of person was this?
Talking as if they really had some kind of relationship.
"I’m not talking nonsense; am I not stating the facts?" Zhong Yu felt wronged.
Lin Murong was more scared.
So scared that he actually ran away.
He even left the items on his stall.
"Hey! Why are you running? You don’t want your stuff?" Zhong Yu called out several times.
Hearing Zhong Yu’s shouts, Lin Murong ran even faster.
Forget it, forget it.
Forget everything.
Lin Murong ran off.
"So these... are mine for the taking." Zhong Yu gleefully collected the items from the stall.
Lin Murong had taken a bunch of things out to the stall, but when he returned, he was alone.
He didn’t even bring back any Crystal Cores.
When he got back and saw Su Yinhe, he just started crying.
"What’s wrong? What’s wrong?" This really scared Su Yinhe.
"The outside world is too dangerous. I don’t want to go out anymore, waaaahhh..."
Lin Murong cried miserably.
"It’s okay, it’s okay, you don’t have to go out. Just rest in your room for a while." Su Yinhe looked at him crying and was a bit flustered.
Lin Murong went back to his room crying, well... still without tears, given that his body’s moisture had evaporated during a previous drought.
So later when he cried, there were no tears.
He locked himself in his room, and even for meals, he pleaded with Fangfang to bring them to his room.
He avoided seeing Zhong Yu as much as he could.
Zhong Yu was truly sad. He couldn’t believe he was so detestable that Lin Murong would rather hide in his room than see him.
He hadn’t really done anything.
Why would Lin Murong avoid him?
Zhong Yu didn’t understand.
Zhong Yu became emo.
He was someone who easily became emo.
With Lin Murong treating him this way, avoiding him like he was a snake or scorpion, Zhong Yu felt very sad just thinking about his attitude.
Lin Murong didn’t care how sad and distressed Zhong Yu was. Now hiding in his room, snacking and watching dramas every day, life couldn’t be more joyous; so quickly, he pushed Zhong Yu to the back of his mind.
Were the snacks not tasty enough? Or the dramas not dramatic enough?
He didn’t have that many brain cells to think about Zhong Yu.
He was very busy every day.
Poor Zhong Yu.
To catch just a glimpse of Lin Murong, he would wander near the supermarket every day.
Whenever he had Crystal Cores, he would go shopping and ask Su Yinhe about Lin Murong’s whereabouts.
Although she really wanted to say it, Su Yinhe still held back and revealed nothing.
"This, I’m not so sure."
"He’s just avoiding me, he doesn’t want to see me," Zhong Yu said with a look of despondency.
"I understand, I understand it all. It’s all my fault, putting him in a difficult position. It’s only natural he wouldn’t want to meet me. But I... I want to see him..."
Su Yinhe: "..."
What kind of Qiong Yao drama heroine... I mean, hero...
Alright, alright, another drama queen in the making.
In her supermarket, it seems all kinds of freaks and weirdos have shown up.
Her supermarket, destined never to be an ordinary one.
The supermarket is about to turn into a place of melodramatic affairs.
"Can you really not pass on the message for me, tell him I want to see him?" Zhong Yu looked at her with hopeful eyes.
The corner of Su Yinhe’s mouth twitched before she stiffly shook her head.
Su Yinhe refused, but Zhong Yu actually tried to morally blackmail her.
"Do you really have the heart?" Zhong Yu blinked those eyes at her.
If Zhong Yu had been a cute girl, Su Yinhe might have found it hard to resist, but Zhong Yu was just too unkempt.
So, it wasn’t a matter of having the heart; Su Yinhe could honestly say she had plenty of heart... to refuse.
"You’re really so cold and heartless," accused Zhong Yu a bit reproachfully.
Su Yinhe: "???" Meow meow meow???
What in the world?
This Zhong Yu... Lin Murong had said that he seemed a little off, but she didn’t believe it.
Well, she was definitely paying for it now.
She should have believed what Lin Murong said.
Su Yinhe was filled with regret.
And now, on top of that, she had to deal with Zhong Yu.
Zhong Yu continued to play out his role as a gender-bent Qiong Yao heroine.
"Why won’t you tell him? If you don’t, how will he know of my longing? Do you not realize that by not speaking a few words on my behalf, my yearning would be in vain..." Zhong Yu said as he wiped away tears.
What a guy—he starts crying at the drop of a hat, and not just any tears, but big, clear ones at that.
Su Yinhe couldn’t hold it in any longer.
Alright, alright, this is how you want to play it.
It turns out this is where Lin Murong’s tears ended up.
No wonder Lin Murong cries without tears; they’ve all run off to this guy.
"Stop, just stop," Su Yinhe had had enough, finding it hard to bear watching a grown man cry so copiously.
"I can’t stop," said Zhong Yu, heartbroken and distressed.
"Try a little harder, don’t cry," Su Yinhe said, feeling worn out.
"What do you know? Tears, just like love, can’t be stopped," Zhong Yu wept as he spoke.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Alright, alright, she doesn’t understand.
She just doesn’t get it!
Aaaaaah!
Definitely a nutcase.
Something seriously off in the head.
Su Yinhe couldn’t be bothered any longer; one shouldn’t meddle too much in others’ affairs—it’s detrimental to mental health.
Su Yinhe decided to back off and quietly moved aside, leaving Zhong Yu to cry by himself.
When Zhong Yu cried, his tears flowed like an endless river, crying without cease.
Su Yinhe watched in admiration; damn, those were a lot of tears.
Could someone really not end up dehydrated after crying like that?
A big question crossed Su Yinhe’s little mind.
But she wasn’t particularly curious; more than anything, she didn’t want to get dragged into the drama.
She’d just stand by, silently munching on her popcorn, watching the show.
Zhong Yu was nothing if not persistent.
He came to the supermarket every day, day after day, and didn’t leave even at night. He just camped outside; plus, he could knock out a couple of Zombies and extract a few Crystal Cores.
