Apocalypse: I Have A Multiplier System
Chapter 521: Valuable Crystals

Chapter 521: Chapter 521: Valuable Crystals

The man paused and looked up.

"Depends. What kind of crystals?"

Qin Feng calmly took out one zombie crystal and placed it on the table.

The weaponsmith leaned over it. His eyebrows raised.

"Hmm... what’s this made of?" he asked.

Qin Feng shrugged. "No idea. I found it during an adventure quest. It looked valuable, so I kept it. We are ready to sell it for 1000 star coins."

The weaponsmith gave him a long stare, clearly not buying the "I-don’t-know" act.

Then he grunted and pulled out his own scanner—a fancier, sharper version of the public metal detector.

He placed the crystal inside.

The screen blinked for a moment.

Then it showed:

[Energy Core – High Rank – Value: 11,000 Star Coins]

The weaponsmith’s eyes widened. "11,000?!"

Even Qin Feng was a bit shocked inside, but on the outside... his face didn’t change at all.

The weaponsmith quickly looked back at him and said with a casual smile,

"I’ll give you 1,000 star coins for it. Not bad, right?"

Qin Feng instantly stepped back and shook his head. "Sorry. I was just testing if you were honest. Turns out you’re not."

Xi Ping nearly laughed out loud. She quickly covered her mouth.

The weaponsmith’s face twitched.

"Wait! Hold on, hold on! Let’s not be so hasty, 11,000 is too much for me to give all at once, but I’ll give you 10,000 star coins each! How’s that?"

Qin Feng didn’t answer right away. He showed a hesitant look, squinting slightly. "Hmm... still doesn’t change the fact that you lied just now."

The weaponsmith scratched the back of his head and suddenly clapped his hands.

"Okay, okay! I admit it! I messed up. I’ll even give you a gift—one of my crafted weapons, totally free. Just to apologize."

Qin Feng’s serious expression faded into a relaxed one. "Then that’s fair. Deal."

Xi Ping’s eyes widened. "Wow... You’re scary smooth."

Meanwhile, Su Jiyai, still in her wolf form, burst into soft, snorting giggles. She was clearly enjoying the show. Her tail wagged proudly.

"That’s my boyfriend," she thought proudly.

They made the deal.

Qin Feng sold 100 zombie crystals at 10,000 star coins each, which gave them a total of—

10,00,000 star coins.

Then, the weaponsmith gave them an extra one legendary-grade sword for free. It had a sharp black blade that shimmered like moonlight and was light as a feather when Qin Feng picked it up.

But what surprised them most was the money.

They had assumed "star coins" would be shiny metal tokens with little stars carved into them.

But nope.

The weaponsmith walked to a big safe and pulled out something wrapped in a silver cloth.

He opened it and handed it to them.

It was a giant glowing note—thin like paper but glowing softly. The center had a beautiful silver star, and it shimmered when it caught light.

On the top, it said:

"1,000,000 Star Coins"

Xi Ping gasped. "It’s a NOTE?!"

Even Qin Feng looked amazed. "So they print money here too..."

They had no bank account, but thankfully the weaponsmith said he only did cash deals anyway.

Their luck was perfect.

Xi Ping looked at the glowing note in Qin Feng’s hand, her eyes sparkling like stars."So... are we finally going to buy food now?"

But instead of jumping with joy, Qin Feng and Su Jiyai both shook their heads at the same time.

"Huh? What now?" Xi Ping blinked.

Qin Feng looked at the huge note in his hand. "One million star coins sounds like a lot, but... it’s not enough."

Xi Ping’s jaw dropped. "Not enough?! That bun only cost three coins! Are we planning to buy the entire bakery?!"

Su Jiyai wagged her tail and sent a message through the system:

[Not the bakery. The ingredients. The land. The tools. Everything.]

She looked super serious, like a little blue wolf with a full-grown business plan in her head.

Qin Feng nodded. "She’s right. If we keep spending money on food here, we’ll go broke really fast. But if we buy ingredients and take them back to our world, we can make the food ourselves. Maybe even sell it."

Xi Ping blinked again, trying to process it. "Wait... you mean... build a kitchen? Like an interdimensional restaurant?!"

Qin Feng grinned. "Exactly."

"And with your portal powers," Su Jiyai added through the system, [we can travel between the two worlds. We’ll have our own food hub.]

Xi Ping’s mouth slowly turned into a wide grin. "You two are scary smart."

With that serious plan in mind, Qin Feng muttered, "We need to multiply this money first. Food supplies, ingredients, land—they won’t be cheap."

Su Jiyai’s eyes sparkled.

[Stone gambling,] she sent.

Qin Feng snapped his fingers. "Right! Stone gambling! I remember from the pre-apocalypse world... jade used to be hidden inside plain rocks. You gamble, cut the rock open, and maybe you hit the jackpot."

He looked around. "But... do people even do that here?"

"I have no clue," Xi Ping said, scratching her head.

So, Qin Feng walked up to a nearby shopkeeper. The man was closing his stall, stacking strange glowing fruit.

"Excuse me," Qin Feng asked politely. "Does this place have... uh... stone gambling?"

The shopkeeper blinked. "Stone what?"

"Stone gambling," Qin Feng repeated. "You know... where you cut rocks open to find rare stuff inside?"

The shopkeeper squinted. "You... from a foreign country?"

Qin Feng gave an awkward smile. "Kind of. I was born here, but raised abroad. So I don’t know what traditions are still common here."

The shopkeeper scratched his chin. "Huh. Never heard of stone gambling. Doesn’t sound familiar. But if you got a picture or something, I might recognize it."

Qin Feng sighed. "Ah, my items were stolen earlier... I lost everything, even my photos."

The shopkeeper’s eyes widened. "You got robbed?!"

Qin Feng nodded sadly. "Yeah... already reported it to the cops."

The shopkeeper frowned deeper. "Cops?"

"Yeah, you know, police," Qin Feng said casually.

The shopkeeper looked even more confused. "You mean... the Hunters Association? They handle all the law stuff here."

Qin Feng quickly nodded. "Yes, yes, of course. That’s what I meant."

The shopkeeper stared at him for a moment, then looked at the darkening sky and sighed.

"Well, it’s getting late. I need to close up shop. Good luck with your... rock stuff."

He waved and turned around.

Qin Feng returned to Su Jiyai and Xi Ping, shaking his head. "No luck. They don’t even know what stone gambling is."

Xi Ping pointed at the sky. "Uh... guys? It’s night already."

They all looked up.

The sky was dark purple, filled with floating star-lanterns and glowing moons. Shops were closing, and crowds were getting thinner.

Qin Feng rubbed the back of his neck. "Let’s find a hotel."

They tried.

One place looked super fancy, with golden windows and floating doors. But as soon as they walked in, the receptionist smiled politely and asked, "ID cards, please."

"Uh..." Qin Feng hesitated.

"We... don’t have those," Xi Ping said slowly.

"Sorry. No ID, no room," the receptionist said.

Every hotel gave them the same answer.

Su Jiyai let out a quiet sigh and sent a message to Qin Feng:

[Find a quiet place. I have a backup plan.]

Qin Feng nodded and led them to a grassy clearing just outside the edge of the market. It was hidden behind a few tall trees and had no one around.

Su Jiyai jumped out of his arms and stood in the center.

Then—poof!

With a flick of her paw, a huge RV appeared out of thin air, summoned from her system inventory.

It looked super cool—metallic silver with glowing blue lights and shiny black tires. It had three levels, tiny balconies, and even a holographic number plate.

Xi Ping’s jaw dropped. "WHAT?! Where was this hiding?!"

Su Jiyai wagged her tail smugly.

She flicked her tail toward the RV’s entrance, signaling them to go in.

One by one, they entered.

Inside was pure luxury.

There were soft couches, big beds, glowing lights, a snack bar, bathrooms, a shower, and even a mini kitchen. The rooms had auto-cleaning beds and curtains that adjusted by voice.

Xi Ping ran to one of the bedrooms. "Mine!"

Qin Feng smiled and picked a room too. "This one’s good."

Xi Ping suddenly paused and looked at Su Jiyai,

"Hm... where will you want to stay? I suggest you stay with me. It would be much safer."

The thought of cuddling this soft blue wolf made Xi Ping’s heart itch with excitement.

Ah! She will bury her head in the wolf cub’s soft stomach.

Su Jiyai stood in the hallway, blinking at both doors.

Then she walked to Qin Feng’s side and tapped his arm with her soft paw.

He smiled warmly, scooped her up, and said, "Alright, you’re with me, of course."

He walked into his room with Su Jiyai in his arms, cradling her like a little princess.
