Ancestral Wealth Inheritance System -
Chapter 601 - 601 From today onwards, I am the master of Earth
Fang Jueyu returned to his long-lost home. Although there were still many follow-up messes to deal with, he didn't want anyone to disturb him that night.
The issue with the invaders was resolved, but now a massive problem loomed. This invasion incident had thoroughly changed the Earth.
Ordinary humans only now realized that every country was hiding so many people with superhuman powers. They learned that advanced civilizations existed beyond Earth.
They were even speculating if Fang Jueyu was an alien who grew up on Earth. Otherwise, how could he possess such vast knowledge, control so much advanced technology, and assemble such a large fleet?
The next day, just as Fang Jueyu woke up, he received a call from the leader.
"Leader, I knew you would look for me these days." Fang Jueyu wasn't surprised at all. His god-like defeat of the extraterrestrial invaders had likely made everyone want to interview him.
"Sigh, I have no choice," the leader sighed. "Now, the entire nation, even the world, wants an explanation. My secretary's office phone is nearly overwhelmed by calls from high-level officials around the world, eager to know where you've been and how you brought back such a massive fleet."
"This is quite troublesome," Fang Jueyu scratched his head. His initial plan was to intercept and eliminate the invaders outside Earth's atmosphere, but he was slightly late, forcing him to shift the battlefield to Earth, inevitably exposing his identity.
"We're under significant pressure now. The federation hopes to hold a global high-level meeting in two days to discuss this matter."
"That would be good," Fang Jueyu nodded. Earth would embark on a different developmental path from now on. This was undoubtedly a new era for humanity and the right opportunity. "Leader, I'll come and participate too!"
"That's great!" the leader was pleased. If Fang Jueyu was willing to explain personally, it would reduce many troubles.
...
The meeting venue was set in a hall in Yanjing, Huaxia. The human leaders had rushed to Huaxia on the fastest flights a day earlier.
Apart from Jiangnan City in Huaxia, other places suffered minimal losses in the recent battle, the most being some weaponry and equipment. Although the storm had passed, their panic hadn't disappeared.
How long would this peace last? Was Earth now exposed to cosmic civilizations? Would similar invasion events occur in the future? What was the fleet that Fang Jueyu brought back? Their heads were filled with various questions that needed answers.
In recent days, Wu Zhao had become Fang Jueyu's follower. Conveniently, as Earth's owner, Fang Jueyu needed Wu Zhao to testify, so he brought him to the meeting.
"Mr. Ma, we could have flown here in no time. Why are we using such outdated transportation?" Wu Zhao pointed at Fang Jueyu's Apollo Sun God and asked.
"Our planet hasn't entered the era of Martial Artists; most people are ordinary. Before the Joraike Family arrived, they didn't even know Martial Artists existed. They probably haven't accepted it yet. I fear causing panic," Fang Jueyu explained.
Wu Zhao nodded understandingly. To date, he had never cared about such things. With his status, he did whatever he wanted on any planet in the galaxy without considering so much.
"By the way, Mr. Wu Zhao, on our planet, there are always annoying people. If anyone irritates you, there's no need to hold back for my sake! Just don't kill anyone!"
Earth was the planet where Fang Jueyu grew up. Wu Zhao worried that Fang Jueyu might be sentimental about his home, so he tiptoed around this first-level civilization planet.
Fang Jueyu knew the vices of Earthlings, having grown up there. This meeting seemed an invitation for him to explain things, but it was virtually a trial.
Although they repelled the invaders, Fang Jueyu returned with a more formidable group, leaving many sleepless.
"It seems your planet isn't so united either," Wu Zhao chuckled.
"Leader!" Fang Jueyu waved at the middle-aged man ahead. Though almost sixty, the leader was still robust. Fang Jueyu hadn't expected him to personally greet him.
"You're here, Little Fang? Everyone's waiting," the leader came up, glancing at Wu Zhao but failing to recognize him as the owner of that golden spaceship from yesterday.
Wu Zhao, tall and burly, exuded a profound aura. The leader assumed he was Fang Jueyu's bodyguard.
Heads of over two hundred countries and regions worldwide had gathered in this conference hall, so security checks were naturally stringent.
It was the first time anyone dared search Wu Zhao. If not for Fang Jueyu complying, Wu Zhao would've probably blown up the conference venue out of anger.
The reporter-free meeting was incredibly quiet. As Fang Jueyu walked in, applause erupted. To most, Fang Jueyu's actions had saved human civilization.
However, some scrutinized him with unfriendly, suspicious eyes.
Fang Jueyu smiled slightly. He understood their thoughts as if they were clear mirrors.
"I'm sure everyone has many questions now," Fang Jueyu addressed the podium, "so I'll explain them one by one!"
"A few years ago, our Huaxia's Professor Liu Guang detected abnormal gamma rays outside Earth's orbit..." Fang Jueyu narrated the entire story of the invasion incident.
They hadn't expected Professor Liu Guang, once despised and labeled a pariah in the academic world, to be such a hero for Earth!
Of course, Fang Jueyu wouldn't disclose everything, "In an attempt to stop the disaster, I repaired a spaceship from ruins and left Earth, seeking help from a willing civilization. I won't elaborate on what happened during that time."
"Mr. Fang, will similar incidents happen again?" someone asked the question everyone wanted to know.
"Rest assured, I've personally purchased Earth. It's undergoing registration within the Galactic Civilizations and will soon join the Cosmic Federation, gaining its protection. If anyone dares to invade, it would openly violate Federation laws. I doubt any civilization has such audacity!"
"What? You've personally bought Earth?"
"Mr. Fang, you're merely an ordinary Earth resident. What makes you Earth's representative?"
"Do you mean Earth is now your private property?"
As soon as he finished, discordant voices arose.
"Hmph, just as expected," Fang Jueyu was unsurprised by such reactions. They only cared about their current status, never considering that without him, they wouldn't even be here to question him!
In truth, even possessing this status, Fang Jueyu never intended to claim Earth for himself or control it. But his thoughts didn't represent everyone else's.
"That's right!" Fang Jueyu gave a cheeky smile, "From today, I am Earth's owner. Do you have any objections?"
