Chapter 987: Chapter 459: First Conspiracy

Although he knew Kuai Kuai went to the Desolate Land yesterday to stir up trouble, he still felt an eerie sense of causality reversal when Kuai Kuai mentioned it now.

Why does it feel like my actions were predicted ahead of time?

Did Kuai Kuai even prepare a day in advance for this?

No way, right?

Suddenly, he felt a chill down to his bones, and the coldness creeping up his back was undeniable.

However, this chill didn’t come just from his actions being predicted, but from the fact that everything seemed so tightly interconnected, making him feel like every step they took was meticulously planned...

Yet, he was part of the plan, and every decision he made was driven by his own will. How could he possibly be controlled?

His lips trembled slightly, drawing in cold breaths, as he faintly sensed an invisible hand in the dark, seemingly wielding an irresistible "Destiny" force, manipulating everyone’s fate.

Kuai Hongji didn’t think too deeply about it and simply said coldly, "I’ll bring it to you later, but don’t go into the classroom yet, wait for me to come."

"No need..." Lin Yi stopped Kuai Hongji, "the Green Forest Belt is near Block A, it’s better for me to find you."

Kuai Hongji looked at Lin Yi as if he were an idiot, saying speechlessly, "If you’re not going to the Desolate Land, you don’t need to go through Block A. Are you dense? Even with just the Green Forest Belt, you can go through Group B."

"Oh right right right..." Lin Yi suddenly realized, "My mistake, I got muddled."

"So I’ll come find you," Kuai Hongji said, "just at the Corridor Bridge near Group B, Class 1. Take the ’Extraordinary Material’ and then get on with other things."

"I’ll be going there too," Tian Bufan said, "I’ll handle the puppet’s uniform, it must not appear abnormal before detonation."

Lin Yi was stunned again.

He didn’t know why, but when Kuai Hongji said he would handle the Extraordinary Material and Tian Bufan mentioned handling the uniform, it gave him a strange sense of déjà vu, like some well-known international counterfeit gang plotting about acid-free paper and color-changing ink, incomprehensible to outsiders...

Damn, such a strong sense of destiny... Lin Yi’s lips twitched again and again, the cold air he drew in more like air conditioning cooling.

"After you assemble, Kuai Kuai and I will head towards Block A, you go to Group C, then I’ll act accordingly."

"Okay." Lin Yi nodded.

"Let’s get moving then," Tian Bufan said.

"Wait a minute!" an untimely voice suddenly rang out.

Lin Yi paused, this didn’t seem to be anyone from their group.

"Wait a minute!" the voice resounded again, this time Lin Yi located the source — a passage by the cafeteria.

"Wait, don’t go just yet!" The voice got closer.

Wei Shan suddenly let out a low growl, his gaze sweeping over like a bear’s, filled with intense vigilance, his body faintly tensing...

Following the sound, Lin Yi saw a Blue-aproned Chef hurrying along the rugged path towards them.

The sight reminded him of the Land God calling out to the Great Saint from far away, tugging at her skirt while shouting.

"Blue-aproned Chef?" A strange look flashed in Lin Yi’s eyes, he glanced around to see some wandering Experience Students nearby, uncertain if the Blue-aproned Chef was calling out to anyone in particular.

Of course, this uncertainty was quickly dispelled as he realized the target was indeed him.

What surprised him even more was that the Blue-aproned Chef turned out to be the same Black-aproned Chef he had seen earlier in the Staff Passage, yet somehow his apron had turned blue upon arriving here.

Could it be like Old Mo, appearing blue at normal times but black at critical moments? Lin Yi pondered briefly. With Old Mo’s example in mind, he didn’t feel anything was particularly off.

Soon enough, the Blue-aproned Chef was in front of him: "Hello, um... regarding Old Mo, I have some questions for you, if it’s convenient could we talk for a moment?"

Upon hearing Old Mo’s name, Lin Yi immediately lowered his guard somewhat: "What is it about?"

The Blue-aproned Chef glanced at Tian Bufan and the others, looking troubled: "Uh, here... it’s a bit inconvenient..."

Lin Yi frowned slightly, as he had just finished planning things with Young Master Tian and the others, now such a disruption made things difficult for him.

Even though Old Mo had never told him anything related to the cafeteria, since they had shared hard times together, he couldn’t just ignore anything related to Old Mo now.

At this point, Tian Bufan spoke, "You go ahead, Kuai Kuai still needs time to prepare, you can join us once you’re done."

Seeing this, Lin Yi decisively agreed to the Blue-aproned Chef’s request: "Okay then, let’s go."

"Please follow me." The Blue-aproned Chef said and led the way ahead.

Lin Yi followed promptly.

Watching Lin Yi’s retreating figure, Wei Shan’s gaze shifted to the Blue-aproned Chef, biting his teeth, a heavy breath escaping his throat as he said in a low voice, "That person is suspicious."

"I know," Tian Bufan replied.

Wei Shan continued lowly, "I know you know he is suspicious, but Old Lin doesn’t."

"Old Lin just hasn’t realized it yet," Tian Bufan said calmly, "Let’s go, back to the Teaching Building, get some rest, you’ll be busy tonight."
