Chapter 504: Chapter 226 Please Help
As Lin Yi thought of this, his expression gradually darkened.
At this hour, the day was no longer young. If one were to get lost in the Green Forest Belt... even if Mu Daxian were a War God, the odds wouldn’t be in his favor!
Mao Feiyang also gradually realized that something was amiss, but just as he planned to quietly warn Mu Daxian of the potential danger, he saw Mu Daxian suddenly pull a drawing board from behind him and plant it on the ground. Then, with a soft rumble from his throat, a cold laugh spread slowly like ripples:
"Alright, you’ve followed me long enough; you might as well come out now."
Mao Feiyang’s eyelids twitched violently.
And in Lin Yi’s mind, it exploded—He had thought too much! Far too much!
"I’ve still underestimated Mu Daxian!"
Lin Yi couldn’t help feeling ashamed; if he were a Green hat, he’d have had to swallow a Tomato as a self-imposed penalty.
However, from when Mu Daxian finished speaking until his voice finally settled into the earth beneath them, the surrounding Green Forest Belt remained deadly silent, with only the increasingly chilly wind stirring the sparse mist in the valleys, wafting a melancholic half-inch under the twilight’s glow.
"Come out, from yesterday till today, don’t you understand the difference between the hunter and the hunted!"
Mu Daxian’s mouth curved into a cold smile, leisurely dabbing his paintbrush into the paint, calm as an artist painting from nature in the woods.
Yet the surroundings remained dead, as if there were no followers as Mu Daxian had mentioned, except for those standing Human Sculptures.
"Ah..." Mu Daxian sighed helplessly, "Words aren’t repeated thrice... If you insist on trying, I can bring you to your demise."
He went to work, not with any flashy maneuvers, but simply by drawing on the board, every scene he saw before him precisely captured with each stroke.
Yet during this process, he cleverly manipulated the relationships between light, shadows, and the flow of the mist, depicting on the board some seemingly existent and non-existent street lamps.
These street lamps, appearing under his brush, seemed both present and absent, as if their existence depended solely on the whims of the artist.
"I’ve given you a chance... ’Lighting’."
Mu Daxian dipped his brush into brilliant gold paint, then shifted from light strokes to heavy, illuminating all the street lamps on the board!
In that instant, Lin Yi suddenly felt the previously cold Green Forest Belt light up as well, a warm brilliance instantly igniting the surroundings.
Mao Feiyang exclaimed in shock, "It lit up?! The street lamps... all of them?!"
Lin Yi sharply withdrew his gaze from the board, scanning around, only to find, astonishingly, that while the surroundings seemed the same as before, somehow more street lamps had appeared, and at this moment, they were all lit up, casting the entire domain around them into a pool of yellow-orange light...
[Ah—Ah—]
The nearby Human Sculptures let out agonizing howls. Originally hiding from the sunlight, waiting for the sun to set to emerge from the Green Forest Belt, they were like rotten wood hunkering in a damp basement waiting to mold, but now, Mu Daxian had unleashed a move called "Sun Fist" to deal with the followers, causing indiscriminate area-wide damage. Without even showing their faces, the nearby Phalanx of Sculptures was already suffering...
Soon, two figures tumbled out from a tight corner...
Mao Feiyang instantly looked over, his heart skipping a beat—those two people were dressed in the same dark-green Art Student uniforms as Mu Daxian, clearly Art Students themselves!
But as they emerged, Mao Feiyang immediately sensed a distinct aura of "Malice" emanating from them.
"Pseudo-Human Art Students?!" Mao Feiyang exclaimed in shock, realizing in a flash that these two must be the Pseudo-Human Art Students who had been too scared to act by Mu Daxian’s bluff in the early hours.
At that time, Mu Daxian actually had no combat power and could only bluff until Old Mo helped him heal his arm, after which he finally had some confidence.
He thought that the Pseudo-Human Art Student had been scared off by Mu Daxian, not expecting them to be still persistently following them.
What he hadn’t expected was that the trackers would be two Pseudo-Human Art Students—he had thought there was only one.
These two Pseudo-Human Art Students apparently had stronger resistance to light than regular Human Sculptures, probably because the painted artworks by Mu Daxian were slightly inferior to real sunlight...
But even so, these two Pseudo-Human Art Students still looked troubled and extremely uncomfortable after being exposed.
"Wait, hold on... this is only the third time!" one of the Pseudo-Human Art Students said painfully from the ground, struggling to raise his hand.
Mu Daxian observed coldly, the corners of his mouth curling into a sneering smile, "That’s why I haven’t utterly destroyed you."
He approached the Pseudo-Human Art Student, slapped his face disdainfully, and said, "You really thought I was just bluffing, huh?"
The Art Student hung his head, his face steady and silent.
The other one gritted his teeth and said, "It’s well known that Mu Daxian bears the title of ’Transcendent Art Student’ and even pinned the Teacher to the ground. Today, falling into your hands, I admit defeat! Kill or flay, at your discretion!"
"Ha, so spirited, it almost makes me seem like the villain?" Mu Daxian sneered, then pinned down the Pseudo-Human Art Student’s back, and swiftly dislocated one of his arms.
Not dislocated as in popped out of the socket, but disassembled, like taking apart a toy, completely detached.
