Chapter 466: Chapter 207: A Wave of Drama
"I..." the Pseudo-Human began.
"You lost your Student ID card, but luckily I found it. Otherwise, you would have been dead!" Mu Daxian spoke to the Pseudo-Human with a voice that carried an eerie magic quality, even Mao Feiyang felt a shiver down his spine upon hearing it.
Mu Daxian, all mister-nice-guy, looked at Mao Feiyang and gave him a look.
Mao Feiyang’s heart trembled, and he instantly understood Mu Daxian’s intention. He quickly tore two Commemorative Coins from the wound.
"Hiss..." The Commemorative Coins were connected to Mao Feiyang’s wound by countless threads of blood. Pulling them was like plucking objects from a spider’s web; gruesome and terrifying, the pain made Mao Feiyang gasp sharply.
His eyes flashed with determination, and with a forceful effort, he plucked them like picking fruit, and then handed them to Mu Daxian.
Lin Yi watched as Mao Feiyang held the Commemorative Coins; those two coins had now completely lost the appearance of coins, looking swollen like the heart of some grotesque animal, even pulsating in Mao Feiyang’s hand as if truly alive.
Mu Daxian squinted his eyes, took the Commemorative Coins, and then resolutely forced them into the Pseudo-Human’s hands, adopting a tone of concern, "You see, you see, if you carelessly lose it again next time, I won’t be able to help you."
Saying this, he slowly released the Pseudo-Human and kindly pulled him up from the ground.
The Pseudo-Human was clearly stunned, standing motionless, fixating on the heart-like Commemorative Coins in his hands, his eyes slowly revealing a feverish delirium...
"I am... I am... Mao... Fei... yang..."
"I am Mao Feiyang, I am Mao Feiyang! I am Mao Feiyang!!!"
"You’re already ’Mao Feiyang,’ the hell are you yelling for?" Mu Daxian kicked him, laughing scoldingly, "Rush back to the Teaching Building, it’s raining so heavily. What are you doing staying here? Aren’t you afraid of getting wet?"
The Pseudo-Human said, "Right, right, right... You’re right, it’s such heavy rain, I should head back to the Teaching Building to take shelter!"
"Yes! Get a move on!" Mu Daxian urged.
The Pseudo-Human then began to walk with somewhat stiff steps, slowly moving out of the range of the streetlight’s illumination.
At that moment, thunder tore through the night sky, and black and white flickered instantly. Lin Yi noticed that the faces of the nine Angel Sculptures surrounding them all displayed a hint of confusion, struggling to discern who truly was Mao Feiyang.
"Commemoorative Coins can also be used like this?" Mao Feiyang looked at Mu Daxian, eyes full of shock, "Using a Pseudo-Human to replace our ’identities’ to die? That’s really cunning!"
Mu Daxian watched the Pseudo-Human’s silhouette, his single hand supporting the lamppost enveloped in soft light, standing through the storm on the ship’s mast atop an endless sea route.
The storm thoroughly soaked him, his wet hair sticking to his forehead. His gaze was calm and focused, plotting every step in his mind.
"Don’t get too happy, the real trickery has just begun!"
With that, he crouched slightly then suddenly sprung up powerfully, reaching out to pierce the lamp cover of the lamppost and grabbed the ’light bulb’ inside, pulling it out!
When he landed, the ’light bulb’ was already extracted from the lamppost.
Mao Feiyang stared at the "light bulb," astonished that it could light up by itself.
"This, this isn’t a light bulb?"
"Go!" Mu Daxian, unusually taciturn, unwilling to say another word, followed the Pseudo-Human’s steps holding the "light bulb."
Mao Feiyang hurried to keep up, soon noticing that Mu Daxian was hissing from the pain, his expression seeming extremely painful.
He hesitated for a moment, then looked towards Mu Daxian’s hand, only to see his hand gripping the light bulb emitting white smoke as if a flare had been lit amidst the storm and surrounding fog, not clearly visible but still perceptible to him through his senses.
He wanted to say something, but he knew Mu Daxian certainly wasn’t in the mood to listen, so he pressed down all the words in his heart and silently followed behind Mu Daxian.
His intuition told him that the damage the light bulb caused to Mu Daxian might be far greater than the harm he had suffered from the Angel Sculptures siphoning his Supernatural Power all the way here.
They soon followed the Pseudo-Human back into the Teaching Building. The Pseudo-Human ahead walked stiffly while Mu Daxian and Mao Feiyang behind seemed as if Kumārajīva was leading Duan Yu to Swallow Dock, encountering a storm suddenly en route and taking shelter in Little Slope Temple.
The Duan Yu in this scenario resembled a skinny little black monkey, and Kumārajīva was damnably like a version who had gone mad practicing the Burning Wood Sword Technique...
"’Mao Feiyang,’ ’Mao Feiyang,’ slow down, slow down!" Mu Daxian, panting heavily, followed after him.
The Pseudo-Human in front indeed paused momentarily.
With that pause, Mu Daxian once again pushed him to the ground. Then, without any pretense, he shoved the hand holding the light bulb directly into the Pseudo-Human’s mouth!!!
It’s unknown how much force Mu Daxian used to shove it, his hand went straight through the Pseudo-Human’s throat, stuffing the light bulb right into his stomach before pulling his hand out nonchalantly.
This scene made Mao Feiyang feel a wave of nausea, nearly vomiting out his stomach acid.
The Pseudo-Human still had a baffled look, seemingly unaware of the happiness of what had just happened.
