Chapter 444: Chapter 196: Mao Feiyang is injured!
Gazing at the Student Cafeteria, Lin Yi suddenly felt as though he were sitting in a small boat, adrift on an endless ocean. The sea was calm, not a single wave in sight, yet beneath his boat, a boundless abyssal creature was prowling...
Lin Yi shuddered violently.
Just looking at a cafeteria, why would he experience such an indescribable sense of fear?
This was too absurd!
Lin Yi calmed his emotions and was about to catch up with Mao Feiyang’s perspective when he turned and plunged directly into those wispy clouds...
"Ouch, damn... this transition!" Lin Yi couldn’t help but spit out a curse; such a huge transition nearly threw out his back.
Entering the transition at this time, Lin Yi wasn’t sure if it was good or bad.
The good news was that through Maozi’s perspective this time, he had obtained a wealth of useful information, knowing several important clues.
For example, the elevator path from the Art Building to the Teaching Building passes through the Library, and he knew the difference between Sports Students and Art Students, as well as the manifestations of Contamination on the Polluters, and so on...
Of course, he also had some questions, such as why Mu Daxian and the others, who clearly had a way to deal with the Pseudo-human art teachers, did not take action, what secrets were hidden in the layers of the Cafeteria, and so on...
But the bad news was, after he had gone through Maozi’s dreamscape, he had woken up...
He was unwilling to let it end there; he knew that Maozi had lost the Student Souvenir Coin, but he wanted to know more about how Mao Feiyang had lost it!
He certainly wanted to know more about the full story of what happened to Maozi and Mu Daxian in the Convenience Store.
It would be such a loss if he woke up now!
And these should be events that took place between May 7th and May 8th. If he were to wake up, it would be May 9th, and the next time he continued the dream would be the evening of May 9th... Such a huge time difference, is it really just for "looking"?
The most crucial thing was that he obtained the information from Maozi’s side too late. If he could get the information up to the end of the day before going to sleep, it would be greatly useful.
Suddenly, he thought of something and looked at his arm.
The quartz watch on his wrist showed the current time as 4:20.
"4:20! There’s still time!" Lin Yi thought, hoping the remaining hour wouldn’t be like a certain first Mage of the Nine Realms who said, "I have been falling for 30 minutes."
Indeed, after landing amidst the thin mist for a brief moment, the mist around him slowly dissipated, and he gradually began to feel that sense of solid ground beneath his feet.
"Looks like there’s still more than an hour of dreamscape left!" Lin Yi rejoiced internally, but he quickly realized that something seemed to be off.
"Huff, huff, huff..." The first thing he heard was Mao Feiyang’s heavy panting close to his ear. As his vision gradually became clear, he noticed that his field of view was shaky, just like... that person who was fleeing from the Human Sculpture in the Green Forest Belt before!
"Could it be that this is not Maozi’s perspective? Did I jump onto some unknown ’camera’?" Lin Yi was stunned for a moment, but as the view quickly restored, he found out it was indeed Mao Feiyang’s perspective, only Mao Feiyang was running across a Corridor Bridge!
"Eh, what’s going on?"
Lin Yi was somewhat surprised but quickly composed himself, immediately observing his surroundings to estimate Mao Feiyang’s location and the time based on landmarks.
Firstly, what he could confirm was that Mao Feiyang was dashing across the Corridor Bridge with an unsteady pace, and Mu Daxian was not far ahead of him.
As for the time...
The incandescent lights on the ceiling of the Corridor Bridge were already on, and outside it was darkness, with grey Mist seeping out from the Green Forest Belt, penetrating into the School Building Area.
At this point, the Corridor Bridge in the Teaching Building seemed like a desolate Domain.
The dull moonlight, filtering through the thick clouds, fell sparsely onto the Teaching Building, casting a pale glow over the Corridor Bridge. The moonlight overlapped with the artificial lights, forming some kind of eerie shadow play.
The silent air was filled with a faint damp Breath that seemed to seep out from nowhere. The trees in the mountainous area outside the Corridor Bridge rustled in the evening breeze with a "hissing" sound, as if they were whispering some indescribable fear.
Apart from Mu Daxian and Mao Feiyang, there was no one else on the Corridor Bridge, only the pervasive "shushing" sound infiltrating the space, occasionally breaking the silence and causing panic.
In the overlapping light and shadow, the Corridor Bridge appeared abysmally dark and sinister, every step potentially fraught with danger.
As the Mist invaded, the lights seemed to flicker uncertainly, brightening and dimming as if they were blinking demonic eyes, watching the passersby, sending chills down one’s spine.
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the Green Forest Belt, and the "shushing" noise shifted, like the whisperings of ghosts, sending shivers down the spine.
In the quiet and oppressive atmosphere, Mao Feiyang continued running, surrounded by eerie illusions as if harboring an evil omen.
They quickly crossed the deep Corridor Bridge and reached the central Teaching Building. Lin Yi couldn’t yet determine whether Mu Daxian and Mao Feiyang ran from Teaching Building A or C, but one thing was certain, they were now in Teaching Building B!
From start to finish, Lin Yi didn’t see a single student, the classrooms had lights on but the doors were tightly shut.
