Chapter 201: Chapter 93: Art Student Rules_2
"After taking the elevator, you will arrive at the Teaching Building."
"If you wish to take the elevator back to the castle, use the Teaching Building’s elevator during inclement weather."
"When you are studying alone in a classroom and the lights suddenly go out, you will have some time to leave the room and head to the elevator."
"If you encounter a sculpture while using the elevator, promptly dispose of your Student Souvenir Coin before being attacked, and after returning to the Art Building, go to the Art Office between 0:00 and 6:00 to report it lost to the Art Teacher."
"You can also use the Dormitory Building’s elevator to return to the castle, but it must be between 0:00 and 6:00, and you need the Dormitory Supervisor to accompany you. When you find the Dormitory Supervisor, show your Student Souvenir Coin to him immediately."
"Warning: Do not operate the Dormitory Building elevator to floors beyond the 39th alone!!!(Prominent underline symbol)"
"Before using the elevator, make sure there are no Security Guards nearby."
"Note: Art Students, due to special reasons, cannot stay outside the castle for more than 24 hours, so please plan your elevator trips wisely and return to the Art Building in a timely manner."
"Outside of inclement weather, when waiting for the elevator, you can study in the classrooms of the Teaching Building. Before entering, knock on the door of the Teacher’s Office next to the classroom and inform the head teacher that you will be studying there so they can register your presence."
"After this, if you want to study in the Teaching Building, you must go to that classroom."
"8, the Cafeteria’s opening hours are 5:40~8:00, 10:40~13:20, 16:00~20:00 daily. Please arrange your time appropriately to ensure you have a meal within 24 hours."
"Art Students are not categorized as regular ’students,’ so they need to use a different entrance when entering the Cafeteria."
"9, the Gymnasium is a building composed of sports facilities and the Giant Dome. If you accidentally enter the Gymnasium area, leave as soon as you realize it."
"Never linger in the Gymnasium area (you can confirm the area by looking at the light poles)."
"10, when you are studying in the study rooms of the Teaching Building and encounter classmates emanating malice attacking Experience Students, remain silent. Wait until the Sports Students stand up, then collaborate with them to eliminate those malicious classmates."
"During this time, if an Experience Student sustains a fatal injury, find an opportunity to retrieve their ’Student ID card’ from them and keep it safe. After returning to the Art Classroom, notify the Art Teacher, who will tell you what to do next."
"Note: Sports Students are a group of classmates dressed in blue and white sportswear and generally, they are your allies."
"11, stay away from Security Guards as much as possible."
"You can trust the Convenience Store owner unconditionally at any time and seek help from him."
"12, Art Students usually do not have sculpture classes."
"But if you find your skin turning pale and your body becoming cold, tell the Art Teacher at an appropriate time, then go to the Sculpture Classroom for one lesson."
"13, never wander around the castle carelessly."
"14, if you inadvertently break any of the above rules, take out the card tucked in the rules."
"Usually, this card is blue."
"When you notice the color on the card starting to change, find the Art Teacher immediately and inform him of the violation before it turns green."
"15, (This item is a branch of rule 14, but must be marked separately)
If you can’t find the Art Teacher before the card turns entirely green, and if you feel you are suffering from severe cold, it means that the ’protective effect’ provided by the Art Building has vanished."
"From this moment, you will have to survive on your own wits. Nevertheless, our school will still offer you one last piece of assistance: the last page of the Art Rules contains a card encased in a black cardholder, detailing the only known method since the school’s foundation that can help you escape the campus."
"Warning: You can only open the cardholder when the card turns green; never attempt this method out of curiosity!!!"
"Dear Art Student, I wish you a pleasant journey on your artistic journey."
Mao Feiyang had finished his first read-through shortly and held the Art Student Rules silently for a while before he continued flipping through.
The Art Student Rules was a slightly thick booklet, but its content wasn’t as extensive as Lin Yi had anticipated; it was much less wordy than those daunting essays he had expected.
The thickness of it came from the items embedded within the special pages: a board stuck inside the pages, a sky-blue card, and a black card slot at the end of the pages.
First, he pulled out the board, only to find a round gypsum coin fixed in the center of the board.
The coin was engraved with an image woven of thorny flowers, and its back was stamped with a World Tree pattern, but the front was blank.
The coin felt ice-cold, as if it were carved from a block of gypsum that had been through a harsh winter, and even when Mao Feiyang held it in his hand, its temperature could not rise at all.
"So this is the ’Student Souvenir Coin’ that was specifically stated as non-existing in the rules?" Mao Feiyang muttered.
[The convenience store only had daily necessities and food, no souvenirs, especially not anything labeled ’Student Souvenir Coin.’]
"So this is the Student Souvenir Coin?" Lin Yi also felt quite curious, "It seems this Student Souvenir Coin itself is something from another layer, likely invisible under normal cognition..."
The Art Teacher lightly tugged at his beret and pulled out a pen from his overcoat, "The blank space on the Student Souvenir Coin is for the Art Teacher to register the student status, just give it to me, and I’ll return it to you after I’ve registered."
Mao Feiyang held the Student Souvenir Coin, a rare hint of hesitation appearing in his eyes, "Is this ’registration’ mentioned in the rules?"
"Yes," the Art Teacher passed over the pen, "You can register it yourself if you want, the student number is this one on the form."
He handed the form to Mao Feiyang.
Mao Feiyang skeptically took the pen, removed the cap and tried to copy the number, but no matter how he wrote, he couldn’t leave a mark on the Student Souvenir Coin.
Mao Feiyang shook the pen and then stubbornly stated with furrowed brows, "This pen is out of ink."
"That’s not how it’s used." The Art Teacher shook his head, chuckled, and said, "Hand it over. Also... are you worried about something? Is there anyone else here besides me?"
Mao Feiyang clearly paused, then suddenly realized... the Art Teacher was absolutely right.
He then silently handed over the Student Souvenir Coin.
The Art Teacher didn’t say much; Mao Feiyang was brought here by the Dormitory Supervisor and had been through enough along the way, so the teacher understood Mao Feiyang’s still-recovering mental state.
"You continue reciting, this will take some time to write properly," the Art Teacher said.
Mao Feiyang thus continued reciting, and Lin Yi looked at the Art Teacher with considerable curiosity.
The Art Teacher, holding that dry pen, then closed his eyes, concentrated, and began to gather his focus.
About half a minute later, the Art Teacher suddenly opened his eyes; at that moment, his golden eagle-like eyes seemed to surge with a gentle golden flame.
"Hoo-lei-lei..."
An invisible vortex seemed to swirl around the Art Teacher, but his clothes did not stir, and the documents on the desk in front of him showed no signs of being blown by the wind.
This gust of wind seemed to emanate from within him.
The Art Teacher then put the pen to the Student Souvenir Coin and the tip, sharp as a blade, slid across the surface of the hard coin, leaving behind a line of numbers:
"Moon-X0230507..."
