Chapter 131: Chapter 60: Report to Teacher
The notes on the notebook, except for item 14, basically required no modifications or additions.
However, item 14 read, "Tomato sauce turns into plaster under the sun (the principle is unknown at the moment)."
After pondering for a moment, he crossed out "the principle is unknown at the moment," and then began to write:
"The tomato is a heart."
As he wrote this rule, he felt a strange dizziness overtaking his brain, as if a cognitive shackle had been unlocked.
Almost as if possessed, he continued to write:
"Tomato sauce is plasma."
Writing these words, he felt a profound discomfort enveloping him, a sense of upheaval encroaching upon him like darkness.
He felt darkness enveloping him, and the world abandoning him.
He felt himself sinking; sitting on a chair, he, along with the chair, began to plunge into an endless abyss.
He felt his breathing becoming labored, and sensed an indescribable, unspeakable terror, as though an invisible pair of hands was gripping his throat from the void.
Feeling extremely uncomfortable and agitated, he gripped the pen tightly and began to smear the words.
His actions were like those of a drowning person struggling desperately.
When he completely smeared out "The tomato is a heart" and "Tomato sauce is plasma," he was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Huff, puff..."
He leaned back in his chair and gasped heavily, like a survivor who had just painfully extricated himself from a mire, desperately embracing the beauty of the world.
Gazing at the note covered in messy lines, his eyes narrowed, his face serious, a strange light flickering in them.
"What kind of twisted information is this that even the written word cannot capture?"
He felt that writing those two lines was like draining his life away.
Yet he could know "The tomato is a heart" and "Tomato sauce is plasma," he even knew that "Tomato sauce turns into plaster under the sun."
But knowing it didn’t mean he could record it.
It seemed that even recording this information was a taboo.
Thus, he stared at item 14 for a long time before writing, "The Tomato Element will attract the attention of inappropriate students."
Pausing momentarily, he tried to write:
"The tomato is not a tomato, there are no tomatoes."
After writing this, he took a deep breath, felt no discomfort, and let out a long sigh of relief before continuing to write:
"Item 15, the green hat will attack those trying to leave the Student Cafeteria."
He hesitated for a moment, pondered, "But... Liangzi did not get attacked..."
He thought again and again, smeared out "person", and replaced it with "me and the Sports Student."
"Item 15, the green hat will attack me and the Sports Student trying to leave the Student Cafeteria."
Then he continued writing:
"Item 16, every building seems to exist within its own separate space, the boundaries are notice boards or lampposts."
"Note: Identifying areas by lamppost numbers is probably the most accurate method."
"The Cafeteria’s Student Cafeteria seems to be a separate space, defined by a plastic air curtain."
At this point, Lin Yi muttered to himself: "Up to this point, I have not seen the Convenience Store."
Then he continued:
"Item 17, be cautious of the moss, all of the moss on campus has issues, do not fixate on it."
"Item 18, it takes 5 to 10 minutes to walk from the sign at the Gymnasium to the gym itself, along the only path, straying from it will lead you onto a non-existent road."
He paused, hesitated slightly, then added:
"That non-existent road seems to lead to the seaside."
"Item 19, the green hat will appear at the gym. (Reason unknown)"
"Item 20, Boss..."
"Hmm? Not... why am I writing about the Boss?" Lin Yi was also stunned.
suddenly, when the gym was mentioned, why did he think about the Boss?
He thought of the Boss’s legs, no. His swimsuit, no. His towel... Ah, that’s right!
The image of the Boss wearing a towel and performing a Leo Flying Kick on a green hat, damn, that was freaking awesome.
"But about the Boss... what needs to be specifically noted?"
Maybe write, the Boss’s kicks are very powerful?
No, that won’t do.
Definitely not.
This is a serious notebook specifically for notes.
So, he crossed out "Item 20, the Boss..." and after pondering thoroughly, he rewrote:
"Item 20, the Teaching Building has a Block D, Block D does not seem to exist in this space."
After he finished writing, he flipped through the notebook again, then suddenly realized something.
Sometime unknown to him, he... had taken for granted the anomalies of the campus?!
The campus had spatial issues, an "underworld" not belonging to the "surface world" and some "nonexistent worlds" that might or might not belong to the "underworld."...
These things, completely irrational – no, more than irrational, utterly inexplicable and incomprehensible.
But when did he... start to accept this fact?
When did he begin to... "adapt" to these incomprehensible things?
Perhaps it was...
"When I stopped trying to understand the rules?"
He fell silent.
For a long time.
Then, he flipped back to the smeared item 4 in the notebook ("The smeared item 4 note: ’Item 4, does the Teaching Building have a basement...?’"), then he returned to item 20, and added:
