Chapter 129 - 59: The Team Heading to Teaching Building D Block

Chapter 129: Chapter 59: The Team Heading to Teaching Building D Block

The architectural style of this Teaching Building contrasted sharply with the previous three blocks. If not for the Corridor Bridge connecting them, it would have been difficult to associate it with the Teaching Building at all.

He thought this way because the first thing that popped into his mind were the relevant rules.

The first rule of the Teaching Building stated, "The Teaching Building consists of three blocks: Block A, Block B, and Block C. Each block has four floors, and each floor has three classes, ranging from Class A1 to Class A12 in ascending order.

There is a bridge connecting each block on every floor, enabling one to walk across."

And then there was rule number two, which completely contradicted the first:

"Proceeding to Teaching Building D Block is prohibited."

If there are only three blocks, why was there a specific declaration to avoid Block D?

Clearly, D Block existed, yet it usually did not.

Such inherently conflicting notions were what he unconsciously thought about last night.

It was also what he had restrained himself from thinking about, planning to revisit it tonight after he returned to the dorm.

However, he wasn’t the same "newbie student" who had just entered the school a few hours ago; now, he had a wealth of experience from "having his shoes soaked at the riverbank and barely making it back to shore."

Not to mention that he nearly couldn’t find the bathroom when he left the classroom to use it;

He was chased by a ’Green hat’ the first time he went to the Cafeteria for a meal;

And there’s no need to mention that he almost walked towards the sea along the route to the Gymnasium...

Not to speak of how he almost thought of himself as a delivery man delivering takeout when he went to the Student Cafeteria for dinner just now...

In Boss’s words, it was an accident that he was still alive.

But in Tian Bufan’s words, he was gradually beginning to "adapt."

He managed to pull himself out of those desperate situations, which even he found surprising, but as Tian Bufan had said, once he adapted, these accidents would become inevitable.

Therefore, seeing Teaching Building D Block now still initially evoked a fear and shock of the unknown in him.

But he managed to suppress these terrifying thoughts early with reason before he fell into some irresistible Phantom Vision or sank into some bizarre illusion, thus maintaining a sufficiently stable will.

He diverted his attention from the haunting silhouette of the Bell Tower with its upside-down people style, and began to shift his focus, slowly and gradually, toward the Teaching Building C Block along the Corridor Bridge.

The rule clearly stated, "Proceeding to Teaching Building D Block is prohibited," which implies that it reaffirms the existence of D Block under certain circumstances, based on the first rule.

"So the Teaching Building D Block is mostly related to abnormal weather... It seems when the rain and mist descend, and the nearby building is only D Block, people will be forced to violate the second day rule and head to Teaching Building D Block."

He remembered Teaching Building D Block was shrouded in thick mist, while the Cobblestone path he was on had only a thin mist...

"Which means, unless the entire campus is enveloped in rain, the so-called ’abnormal weather’ possesses a relative regional aspect?"

"For example, the environment around the Teaching Building D Block now is experiencing abnormal weather, whereas my side is relatively normal... correct?"

Lin Yi also noticed, it seemed there was a... Bell Tower near the Teaching Building D Block?

"A Bell Tower, huh..."

Lin Yi narrowed his eyes.

The Bell Tower of S City University in his memory was indescribable, outrageous, abstract, twisted, and terrifying.

Even now, he continued to avoid thinking about anything related to it.

Because the existence of the Bell Tower was too bizarre.

Even when he was jolted awake on the blue bus, he had seen through the bus window the silhouette of a Bell Tower within the S City University campus.

Yet since he set foot in S City University, he had seen the Teaching Buildings, Cafeteria, Gymnasium, and even walked quite a bit around the campus, but he hadn’t caught a glimpse of the Bell Tower.

It was too strange.

Strange to the point of being illogical.

So bizarre it was inconceivable.

But if reality were set aside, he had actually seen the Bell Tower once—just today at noon.

As he returned to the Teaching Building from the Cafeteria, he thought through the Moss on the stairway steps he saw a dark, Gothic world filled with grotesque oddities.

The Moon hung in the night sky, surrounded by thick mists; under the ghastly moonlight, a corner of a dark-style castle was revealed amidst the thunder.

He remembered that the castle had a Bell Tower, remembered the ravens that perched beside it, and also remembered seeing a phrase when "he" turned around:

"Welcome to the Art Building."

"Teaching Building D Block... Could it be that legendary Art Building that doesn’t exist on the map?"

He thought about the odd female teachers and classmates he had seen yesterday evening, recalled the girl in the Sailor Uniform with a hair clip he met at lunch, and those who weren’t Sports Students but had taken other paths.

If they came from the Art Building, taking advantage of the unusual evening mist in the mountains to enter the normal world from a place that originally did not exist... then everything seemed to start making sense?

Despite still having many doubts, he no longer wished to dwell on them, so he withdrew his gaze.

Yet at that moment, he suddenly noticed that on the Corridor Bridge leading from Teaching Building C Block to Teaching Building D Block, there seemed... to be a group of people.
