Alpha's Rejected Mate Returns as Queen
Chapter 764: Bullying

Chapter 764: Bullying

Yarin's POV:

In fact, we just wanted to handle this on our own, but Lady Charlies told Mom after finding out.

Mom was very angry, "I never knew that there would be such social scum around the sacred place of the school, and even among the police, there are those who twist the truth."

Over the phone, her voice was cold enough to freeze, "Putting the safety of the people in such an environment, in the hands of such people, this is an unforgivable dereliction of duty on my part as a queen.

"Go ahead and do what you want, my children, don't worry about anything, because you've done nothing wrong in this. Don't hold back, I have your back, okay?"

Lydia, who was listening on the side, was stunned. She hadn't expected her experience as a commoner to actually move Her Majesty the Queen. She looked at Cynthia with awe and fear, and Cynthia patted her shoulder to comfort her.

After hanging up the phone, Lydia said anxiously, "No, no, it's too troublesome for Her Majesty to be involved like this. She's busy with so many matters, how could my insignificant issue disturb her..."

"No, Lydia, your matter is not insignificant. It's not a trivial matter when a girl is bullied for no reason when there's a pedophile lurking around the school, and when there are morally twisted individuals in the police force. No one is insignificant. Since we know about it and can address it, there's no reason not to," I said gently but firmly as I looked into her wavering eyes.

"Today is Saturday. I promise that those people will be punished before school on Monday. They will beg for your forgiveness in tears, but you don't have to forgive anything, because they deserve those punishments."

Perhaps my tone was too serious when saying this, and Lydia stared at me dazedly, then suddenly shivered.

Heller complained, "Don't be so dark. You look like an antagonist from a TV drama. You scared her."

I smiled apologetically at her.

In the evening, the information about that shop, the police officer, and the pedophile was delivered to my desk. I had to admit, the mobile patrol team was indeed efficient in this regard. They were truly experts in their field.

The information showed that the shop owner used to work as a customs officer for a southern border pack, but he was imprisoned for three years due to embezzlement and bribery. After his release, he borrowed money to open a restaurant on the gourmet street near Sivir Academy's entrance.

Coincidentally, I had been to that shop before. It was the Mediterranean cuisine restaurant that Aunt Caroline took us to, the one that had changed ownership.

As for the police officer's background, it was rather unremarkable. A local, from an average family, his career as a policeman had nothing outstanding. He progressed step by step in his career and ended up in a less demanding position. The only notable feature was his high complaint rate, suggesting a lack of ability to solve problems for the public despite serving as a policeman for over a decade.

And then, there was the pedophile. Want to guess? He was the one who lent money to the shop owner to open the restaurant. He wasn't a werewolf but a human, dealing in clothing within the Lycan Pack. What caught my attention was that he hailed from Jasper and had lived there for quite a few years.

Jasper was the stronghold of the Lily of the Valley.

Don't blame my PTSD, but the memory of the Lily of the Valley seemed to be behind every negative event I encountered. It was getting on my nerves.

I could only say that Jasper was truly a 'place of talent and spirit'. There didn't seem to be anything good coming out of there.

The most crucial thing was that there was no evidence to prove that Lydia had been molested. However, that didn't matter. When dealing with evildoers, reasoning wasn't necessary. If there's no evidence, then create evidence. In the end, wasn't it up to me to determine what was true or false?

As I said this, Heller looked at me with surprise, "This idea is not exactly righteous. Don't you want to be a good prince?"

"Righteousness is for good people. When it comes to criminals, you have to be even more shameless and unscrupulous than them," I said indifferently. "I have no sympathy for pedophiles. Do you know that in ancient times, they would be banished? Even the goddess wouldn't pardon such despicable acts."

We came up with various methods, like using magic to create illusions, artificially synthesizing surveillance videos, or having intelligence agents impersonate witnesses from the scene. However, in the end, we didn't go through with any of them because Lydia stepped in to stop me.

"You don't need to do this, Your Highness," she said. "I appreciate everything you've done to help me seek justice, but this is too risky. Once the act of falsifying evidence is exposed, it will have a very negative impact on you. I can't let the people who help me be harmed in that way."

"I have an idea. Instead of making false evidence, why not catch him in the act? Since that pedophile frequents that shop every day, I can make him do the same thing he did last night again, right? Then we'll have evidence,"

she said those terrifying words without expression.

"But that way, you'll be in danger," Autumn worriedly said. "Never overestimate the moral boundaries of a pervert. They will harm you."

But Lydia smiled, "Harm me? No, isn't it his turn to feel pain now?"
