Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night
Chapter 42: Presence of the future Luna

Chapter 42: Presence of the future Luna

"I want some alone time," she objected, pouting her lips to highlight her discomfort.

"It’s not a choice, it’s necessary," he replied with the same authority that she despised. He always took advantage of his position as the Alpha, and she wanted nothing more than to smack him across the face.

"Fine, I will sleep on the couch then. The bed is all yours," she declared, walking towards the bed and grabbing a blanket. If he insisted on having his way, she would do the same.

She slept on the couch, completely covering herself with the blanket to annoy him and hopefully make him leave the room.

She smiled when there was complete silence for a moment, thinking she had successfully gotten rid of the stubborn Alpha. However, her joy was short-lived when she was suddenly lifted up by strong arms.

"What do you think you are doing?" She yelled at him, struggling to break free from his grasp. But he was too strong, and she couldn’t escape his hold. He smirked at her and carried her effortlessly towards the bed.

Reaching the bed, he gently placed her down and hovered over her, trapping her in his embrace. She glared at him and tried to move away, but there was no space between them, making it nearly impossible to escape.

"I never gave you permission to sleep on the couch," he teased, his hands caressing her cheeks and trailing down to her neck, making her gulp.

Suddenly, he moved away from her and lay down beside her on the bed. Aurora breathed a sigh of relief and turned to the other side, hoping to fall asleep.

The next morning, at the dining table...

"Alpha, Sarah will be coming to stay in the mansion," one of the Elders announced, shocking everyone except Enoch and Damien.

"I thought they had three months before their wedding?" Dave asked, clearly confused.

"That’s our custom. The wife is supposed to stay in the same mansion as the Alpha until the wedding day," the Elder explained, a smile on his face.

Aurora bit her lip absentmindedly and frowned, trying to hide her pain. How could she have forgotten about this marriage tradition? The wife was obligated to stay in the mansion three months prior to the wedding to prepare for her future role as Luna.

She had experienced a similar situation when she stayed in the pack house with Lucas before their wedding, and it hadn’t ended well. She had wielded the power of a Luna without proper training.

Fear gripped her as she thought about becoming an obstacle between the future Luna and Damien. Would his wife be happy to see her every day? It was similar to what Lucas’s supposed mate had done to her.

Though Damien said he wasn’t going to marry her, did she feel the same way?

"She doesn’t need to be here," Damien said, his voice filled with a cold tone. The Elders knew he wouldn’t agree, but he had no choice.

"She needs to be prepared for her role. Besides, she knows nothing about being a Luna. We have to bring her here for proper training," another Elder stated, emphasizing their decision.

Damien knew they would eventually bring this up. It was probably because of Aurora that they were bringing her in sooner. However, their wish wouldn’t be granted. He would do whatever he wanted.

"Sure," he replied, surprising everyone. They were shocked that he didn’t further oppose the idea. They grew suspicious and anxious, fearing that he had some hidden intention behind his easy agreement.

"Then she will arrive in two days," the Elders declared.

"As you wish," Damien responded nonchalantly.

The more Damien agreed, the more Aurora panicked. Only Selena knew what kind of woman his future wife was. What if she went into a rage and harmed Aurora?

"Ahhh!" she instinctively screamed, forgetting for a moment that she was still at the dining table. Realizing her outburst, she lowered her head slightly and apologized. "I am sorry," she mumbled, feeling embarrassed, and continued eating with an awkward expression.

"Is something wrong?" Dave asked, leaning forward towards her face, causing her to shrink back unexpectedly from his proximity.

"Ye... yes," she stammered, clearing her throat. Dave wasn’t convinced and moved closer, his lips almost touching hers.

"I think you are too close," Aurora murmured, avoiding his gaze.

"You just look so..." Dave raised his hands in the air, gesturing as he trailed off and then leaned back, sighing.

"Nevermind, you look fantastic," Aurora felt incredibly uncomfortable in the presence of the two brothers. They were always so straightforward in their actions. She doubted she would survive dealing with these unruly brothers.

"Thanks," she replied, gesturing her appreciation.

"Alpha, Aurora may be your sexual partner, but she’s not obligated to share the same space as the future Luna," the Elders once again brought up the topic of her.

Yes, she knew she wasn’t supposed to be in the same space as the future Luna, but it was this stubborn Alpha who insisted she have a room next to his.

"I would love to return to my quarters as well, I understand your concerns," Aurora quickly interjected before Damien could object to the idea.

"Who gave you the right to decide?" His tone was cold and harsh as he questioned her. His fists were clenched, and it seemed like he was on the verge of losing his temper. She couldn’t understand why she had to be so close to him. All he needed to do was call for her every night when they needed to be intimate.

"But Alpha, allowing her to stay in the same space as you and the future Luna disrespects the pack," the Elders persisted in their decision, pressuring him further.

"You should be grateful that I agreed to marry her. Aurora will stay in her own room. If your future Luna is unsatisfied, she can stay with one of you," Damien asserted his authority, silencing the dining table. The Elders knew they couldn’t negotiate any further and remained silent.

Aurora felt disappointed and wished they had been able to convince him otherwise. She could already anticipate the problems she would face in the future.

"You, follow me," he ordered angrily and stormed out of the dining room.

’Not again!’ she thought, reluctantly following after him.
