Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 17: Special Tea
Chapter 17: Special Tea
"Differently?" She inquired, but he had already left the room, leaving her behind.
Hours later, Aurora had finished cleaning Damien’s room and was now preparing the snacks for the meeting.
"Aurora, what should we do? We only have the strawberry flavor left, and there are only twenty minutes left before the meeting. Going out to get other flavors is not an option," the maid working alongside her explained, worry and fear evident on her face.
The Alpha had specifically requested to have his tea served differently, and serving them the same flavor would anger him.
"Oh no!" Aurora exclaimed, realizing the gravity of the situation.
"Do we have pineapples?" A solution popped into her mind, so she asked.
"Yes, we do. What are you planning to do?" The maid asked, wondering how pineapples could be used to make tea.
"Fetch the fruit, and we will discuss it later. There’s no time," Aurora replied, and the maid quickly ran out of the kitchen to get the pineapples as requested.
"Here you go," the maid returned with the pineapples.
"Okay, now let’s improvise," Aurora said, smiling widely. She started by washing the pineapple, peeling it, and slicing it into pieces. She boiled the slices for five minutes and extracted the water.
Adding some sweeteners and sugar, she stirred it together and poured it into a tea cup.
"How did you come up with that?" The maid asked, surprised by Aurora’s innovative method. She had never seen someone so skilled at improvising in the kitchen before, Aurora was truly amazing.
"Did you write down the procedure? It’s something new, I have never done it before," Aurora said, catching the maid off guard.
She poured herself a small cup and tasted it. "Oh my, the Alpha would marry you if he tastes this," the maid teased Aurora.
Feeling proud of her skills, Aurora smiled and proceeded to serve the snacks.
"We might need some additional assistance. Let me fetch some help," the maid suggested, and Aurora nodded in response, allowing the maid to leave the kitchen to get some assistance.
In the study room
There were ten Elders, Enoch, Dave, and five young individuals seated alongside Damien. They engaged in a serious conversation.
"Our warriors are too few. We need more recruits, Alpha," the young lady in charge of the warriors requested.
"Then recruit them," Damien replied.
"However, we need you to issue an order. The parents are refusing to let them participate," the young lady named Evelyn added.
"What a shame, Evelyn. Despite your position, you have no power over them," Dave taunted, but Evelyn ignored him and kept her focus on Damien.
"Alright, I will send you the order. You have my permission to recruit as many as you want, excluding children under the age of 17," Damien emphasized, and Evelyn nodded in understanding.
"Alpha, you should bring some pack members into the mansion now that you are back. It’s our custom," an Elder suggested.
"The lower part of the mansion is sufficient to accommodate twenty members. Provide me with some names, and I will make the selection," Damien said.
Everyone in the room was satisfied with his responses. They never expected him to grant their requests, but it was only natural for him to comply with customary practices that held no disadvantages. Dave was the only one who wasn’t happy, still reluctant about attending the wedding.
"Alpha, how do you plan to organize the banquet? We would like to know your suggestions as you are the host," the Elder added, seeking Damien’s opinion on the banquet preparation. They could plan an event like a banquet, but since their Alpha was the one who proposed it, it was only proper to ask for his input.
"It will serve as an awareness event, so everyone, from the Alpha to the omega, is allowed to attend. Class separation is granted, but equality is of utmost importance," Damien stated, sounding like a true leader.
He wanted everyone to be present at the banquet, but he also emphasized the need for appropriate respect. They all understood his intentions and chorused, "At your service, Alpha!"
"Your kindness is gracious, Alpha. How about your Beta attending the wedding instead?" Dave quickly chimed in while the atmosphere was still friendly.
"Let’s construct a new pack house to strengthen the bond within the pack," Damien interrupted, facing the Elders.
As one of the Elders was about to speak, a knock on the door interrupted them.
"Come in," Dave said, and Aurora entered the room, followed by some maids carrying trays.
"Ah, it’s about time," Dave said, moving closer to Aurora to grab a cup of tea, but Damien was faster. "Aurora, come here," he ordered.
"Yes, Alpha," Aurora responded and walked up to him to serve him his snack.
"Why does it matter who serves you when they are all snacks?" Dave almost rolled his eyes at his brother’s cheeky attitude. One would think there was poison in every other snack with the way he acted.
Aurora served Damien his snack and added, "It’s special, just as you requested." Her voice was loud enough for everyone to hear. They all smiled at how petty their Alpha could be. They couldn’t believe he had asked for a special snack.
Damien glared at Aurora for spilling the beans in front of everyone, but Aurora smiled back, satisfied that she had managed to embarrass him as well.
’That’s today’s punishment,’ she thought, chuckling to herself. Although his eyes carried a threatening look, she brushed it off and moved away from him to serve the others.
When she approached a particular young man, he smiled at her as if they were already acquainted and thanked her, saying, "Thanks, Aurora."
"Do you know him?" Dave was surprised to see someone among the Elders who knew the chef responsible for feeding the mansion.
"We are close friends," the man replied, continuing to smile, which made Damien feel somewhat uncomfortable. The man had handsome features, but they couldn’t compare to Damien’s. Wait, why did he even care about who Aurora knew?
"Really, Aurora?" Dave further inquired.
"Yes, Williams is a very good friend of mine. We have known each other for a while."
