All Heavenly destiny reduced to ashes
Chapter 681 - 57 Cultivator Group (3/3)

Chapter 681: Chapter 57 Cultivator Group (3/3)

"Steel Skeleton, Ji Yilong. A mercenary and a Foundation Establishment Peak Yuhua Cultivator. Wanted by the Sky Surveillance Bureau for gang vengeance, with a wanted level of D-class. The Bureau considers you to be a highly cooperative wilderness group leader, and after a detailed assessment, they might even hire you as a dedicated team for wilderness labor dispatch."

Standing three heads taller than Steel Skeleton, a Yuhua Cultivator faced the crowd. After tossing out Steel Skeleton’s information, Chen Jingqin turned her head to look at Qu Tong: "Mad Wolf, Qu Tong. A Peak of Qi Refining Half Yuhua Cultivator. Former employee of Xuanhao Company. Wilderness Robber Cultivator. Wanted for stealing company assets and attacking the company’s information database. Wanted level is D-class. The Sky Surveillance Bureau’s assessment of you is a stray dog found everywhere; the reason you’ve survived in the wilderness for so many years is simply because they can’t be bothered to capture you."

With one evaluation high and the other low, one praise and one criticism, her tone remained calm: "But none of it matters, all that is in the past. From now... no, starting three months ago, you have been the deputy captains of the Sixth Wilderness Exploration Team under the Xuanye City Conscript Bureau. Your captain is An Xuan, the chief of the Third Middle Jingwei Academy. This time, hiding behind the facade of a school martial test, you are leading the official mission to pioneer the wilderness."

"However, due to the influence of some uncooperative and disloyal hostile forces, the pioneering had barely begun when it attracted the Kun Demon and Demon Kings. To ensure the survival of the pioneering initiative’s Fire Seed, under the leadership of Chief Captain An Xuan, you spared no effort in opening the gates of Cave Heaven, blocking the invasion of the Kun Demon and the Golden Crow among other Demon Kings, and safeguarding the group’s most valuable assets."

Since Steel Skeleton’s face was made of steel, it was emotionless, only the flickering Spiritual Light in his eyes revealed his current intense contemplation.

On the other side, Qu Tong was different.

"Me, me?"

Qu Tong was somewhat confused, he shrank his head but couldn’t help but tell the truth: "I’m a captive..."

"Shut up."

The Heavenly Supervisor glared, his liquid metal eyes shining like a golden-red sun seemed to flare up with the brilliance of a furnace: "You and your Robber Cultivator Group in the wilderness, all of you, are employed by us, [Luofu Group]! It has always been so from the beginning!"

"Your battle with An Xuan was just a smokescreen, just a deception, a smoke grenade to mislead other powers. You have been one of us, Luofu, from the beginning, and so your actions in the Fortress Area from three months or even earlier mean that the pioneering war has already begun, and we have already built a pioneering base in the North Lake Marsh District."

"Do you understand?"

Qu Tong gritted his teeth.

He understood... of course, he understood! The company, the city, Cave Heaven... it was all the same! They didn’t care about the actual truth, they acted solely for their interests!

What they wanted to become reality, would become so, regardless if everything was fake, virtual, it could also be real.

In order to stake an ethical advantage over other groups, what did it matter to let him, a wilderness Robber Cultivator stained with blood, into Xuanye City? As long as it served their greater interests, any law or wanted status could be cancelled with a single word.

Just like how the company could easily suppress his own yearning for revenge... It was such arbitrary control, insignificant and dismissible.

Qu Tong understood too well. If it weren’t for An Jing previously showing some degree of regard for them, the first thing the Heavenly Supervisor would likely have done is kill him and Steel Skeleton, then find a group of loyal people to wear their equipment and clothes, claiming they were them - thus, everything would be in the group’s hands.

What they wanted to seize was not only the body and the mind, not only wealth and status, but also the truth of the past, present, and future realities!

Steel Skeleton raised a hand and patted Qu Tong on the back, bringing Qu Tong, who had hunched over, back to his senses.

"That’s exactly it."

Then, he heard Steel Skeleton speak: "Everything depends on the group’s leadership; I’ve long been a member of the group!"

Steel Skeleton’s words were brimming with joy and did not carry any falsehood, while Qu Tong also came to a realization that regardless of whether he understood the group’s intentions, he was now powerless and had no need to resist - this was his first step to starting a new life, whether to forget or to bear in mind the hatred in his heart... he could not fall here.

Thus, he too managed to straighten up and repeated the same words as Steel Skeleton.

"Good."

Seeing the two of them so sensible, the Heavenly Supervisor didn’t say much else. All this was her giving face to Chairman Chen and An Xuan. Since these people had already agreed, she handed each of them a Great Void Magical Instrument: "Inside are Spirit Stones, healing Pills, and Divine Soul Inhibitors, essentials for us Yuhua Cultivators... You will be needed later, you mustn’t lose control, if there are any signs of demonic possession, report to me immediately and these Fengdu Guards will send you back for treatment."

"As for now, you are to build a base here."

After issuing the orders, she turned and left - speaking with these lower-class wilderness people was part of her job, outside of work, she naturally did not wish to waste any words.

To this, Steel Skeleton did not seem to mind, and even Qu Tong was startled.

Wow, that generous?

Are people from Cave Heaven so wealthy?

However, although they were stunned by the generosity for a moment, both were well aware that their value in the united front with An Jing had been established - had it really been unsupported wilderness mercenaries and Robber Cultivators, they would have long been gone.

Just to keep them quiet, the group was willing to give so much... The strength of the group was indeed unfathomable.

Meanwhile, outside the gates of Cave Heaven.

In the North Lake Marsh Fortress Area.

When An Jing and Chairman Chen passed through the gates of Cave Heaven and returned to the Tianyuan Realm, everything was different from before.

Amidst piercing screams and explosions, the terrifying howls of countless demon beasts reverberated in all directions, raising clouds of dust so thick that one couldn’t help but cover their ears.

An Jing lifted his head, looking around—as Chairman Chen continued to raise the height of the Star Moon Ice Wheel, this look-around turned into an overlook, and so An Jing saw that the entire Fortress Area and the North Lake Marsh District were already enveloped and overtaken by an almost endless swarm of flying monsters and demons.

The boundless demonic Qi gathered together to form a towering Fiend Cloud, obscuring the sunlight’s radiance.

Amidst this overwhelming demonic Qi, seven Purple Mansion-level auras were faintly pulsating, like beating hearts.

Among them were two local demon beasts that had been repeatedly pummeled by the Golden Crow and the Kun Demon.

The real Beast Tide of pioneering war had arrived.

This scene made An Jing also raise his eyebrows, surrounded by the Beast Tide, he was exceptionally calm: "This won’t be easy to resolve."

"That’s the common sense," he said.

Chairman Chen too appreciated An Jing’s composure and stroked his beard with a smile: "But this time, there’s no place for cunning schemes... The Northwestern Rift Valley Fortress garrison has arrived. With them here, without a Great Demon King comparable to a True Lord showing up, it’s impossible to cause any trouble."

"Hm?"

It was then that An Jing suddenly sensed something. He looked up above his head, only to hear a long cry similar to that of a distant sea whale, and an immense shadow emerged from atop the Fiend Cloud, covering the sky and approaching with an unmatched terrifying aura, blocking out the sun.

The heavens dimmed, and then suddenly brightened.

The layers upon layers of Fiendish Qi clouds, mountainous in appearance, churned and pulsed, pushed apart by a force, as streams of light poured out from within, like a waterfall of light cascading from the Heavenly Sea.

That was a warship.

A warship as vast as mountains, as expansive as a city, wrapped in rings of wooden roots—a warship of the Immortal Path!

Emitting a bluish-purple glow, the neatly arranged Formation Patterns flashed with the pulsing of heaven and earth’s Spirit Qi. The moment the Immortal Path warship appeared, it made the seven Purple Mansion Demon Kings involuntarily take a step back.

Before they could lash out in annoyance, a series of thunderous roars erupted in an instant, like meteors falling from the sky, drowning out all other sounds.

Something was falling from the Immortal Path warship—a cascade of vermillion light, accompanied by the fluctuations of the Great Void stirring into action, followed by streaks of bright scarlet streaking down from the heavens, plummeting to the ground amidst rising dust clouds and earth-quaking tremors, forming... a fortress.

A semi-circular fortress of eternal metal, dropped from the gap opened by the Great Void on the Immortal Path warship, embedded itself upon the earth like a meteorite from the sky, indestructible, seemingly Eternally Unabraded.

An Jing lifted his head, looking towards the sky.

With one Great Void Array after another unfolding, a continuous stream of fortress structures poured down from beneath the Immortal Path warship, like a meteor shower of rain, crashing into the earth.

Rows of steel ’Magic Wedges,’ hundreds of meters long, plunged straight and precisely into the ground, Spiritual Patterns moving up from the bottom like breath, each lighting up with different glows, transforming the Spirit Vein and Earth Vein of the land.

The original fortress clusters were directly smashed, turned into rubble and debris, the original Spirit Veins thoroughly altered, and in the blink of an eye, they formed a Purple Mansion-level Great Formation alongside the Magic Wedges, falling like shooting stars.

Endless crimson fire streaked across the sky, sparkled in the atmosphere, the perfect embodiment of a meteoric firestorm.

A forest of steel fortresses, thus, amidst roaring, exploding, and shaking, took shape before An Jing’s eyes.

Within such a stack of steel, demon beasts were either crushed into debris or blown away for miles, the survivors scurrying off with tails tucked, only daring to bark from afar.

But behind them, those seven Demon Kings, guarding the surrounding major district, warily watched the Heavenly Ship above, howling and roaring, retreating bit by bit.

They were fearful.

"...So Luofu had already prepared?"

Witnessing this scene, An Jing closed his eyes and then reopened them.

He calmed down, suppressing the joy that came with ’achieving something.’

Facing the formidable foundational strength of the Tianyuan Cultivator Group, the young cultivator almost solemnly said, "It seems I’ve just arrived at the right moment."

"Indeed, there were preparations made, not for today, but today is also fine."

Chairman Chen, looking proudly at this scene that belonged to Luofu’s Martial Force, smiled in response: "But don’t sell yourself short, An Xuan. If it were not for you, the Group would not have made the decision to mobilize the Great Void Heavenly Ship for the fastest fortress construction."

"Not because of someone else, all of this, it’s all thanks to your efforts!"
