All Heavenly destiny reduced to ashes
Chapter 552 - 154: Nine Swords

Chapter 552: Chapter 154: Nine Swords

The Heavenly Demon did not respond to An Jing’s words with his own.

In the midst of a silent ascent of Bitter Silence’s power, numerous frosty, snow-capped and ice-cold demons with semi-transparent skins rose. The Ice Demons, already enhanced by Demonic Qi, had grown strange, almost fin-like wings. Their flesh and blood, transparent both inside and out, were filled with densely packed luminous talismans. As they flapped, they created a sky full of firefly-like flowing lights.

With all the light points converging, the Ice Demons gathered together, resembling a multitude of small fish forming a huge school. The immense Ice Dragon took shape in the Frost Calamity, its six eyes lighting up, like cold, lifeless stars.

The one to meet its chilling gaze was a straight line of silver Sword Light.

In an instant, the Ice Dragon dissipated like a sandcastle washed away by the sea, a huge void appearing on the side of its body. The cluster formed by countless Ice Demons lost half its torso and spine, and the collapsing void kept expanding.

Thousands of Ice Demons were shattered on the spot by the seemingly insignificant Sword Light, turned into dust that could never be reconstituted, meaningless dust.

But unlike the other Great Heavenly Demons that were instantaneously killed by the Sword Light, the power of Bitter Silence was not obliterated by the erupting power of Subdue Evil.

On the contrary, it continued to grow stronger, regenerating incessantly with the power of Frost Calamity and Yuan Dong.

The Ice Dragon coldly gazed in the direction of Broken Blade Mountain, and at the long sword in An Jing’s hand.

[Subdue Evil...]

Although it was wary, it was not afraid.

An Jing was very clear about that.

At this moment, An Jing held the Heavenly Sword, which shone with a silver-aquamarine brilliance. In his slightly lifted eyes flashed a fierce gold line, sharp like a sword blade, inside which boiled lava-like, dazzling red-gold light.

Under the power of the Heavenly Sword, even the True Spirit Eye underwent a transformation, allowing An Jing to completely merge with the Sword Eye of Subdue Evil. He could see many truths of the world, including the situation of Subdue Evil itself.

It was not good to say.

Subdue Evil was incomplete; it had long been shattered. Even with the power of the seals, it could not last and would keep dissipating.

But hidden in the Sword Sheath, every unsheathing was an eruption, a release, such a state could slow down the consumption as much as possible, maintaining the current state of Subdue Evil.

Overall, the power that Subdue Evil possessed was still the force of the seals from the Divine Repository of Broken Blade Mountain. It simply converted the sealing power into the Subdue Demons power of the Heavenly Sword of Subdue Evil, a power that was originally within Subdue Evil’s grasp, or rather, the seal was designed from the beginning. If someone could reach this place with ’normal Subdue Evil,’ then he would gain authority, command the power of the Divine Repository, and defeat those escapee Heavenly Demons.

Ordinary Great Heavenly Demon avatars, faced with the power of the Divine Repository that could even suppress Bitter Silence, were naturally extinguished in an instant.

But Bitter Silence itself was different. The power of the Divine Repository could only seal it, could severely damage it, but it could not destroy it.

And if it weren’t for my cultivation of the ’Taibai Luminous Godly Ban’ which shares the same origin as Subdue Evil, along with the ’Primordial Spirit Sword Lotus’ born from Subdue Evil’s own power as my Natural Divine Weapon for protection, just using the strength of my Martial Meridian to wield such power would result in the destruction of both body and soul with a single strike.

Even with these powers to protect my body, An Jing surmised that his and Subdue Evil’s limit was no more than nine strikes in total.

Nine strikes, three had already been unleashed. The remaining six strikes, to completely vanquish these remaining Great Heavenly Demons, was simply a pipe dream.

However, An Jing was all too aware that he was definitely not alone.

This surprise attack by the Heavenly Demons was mainly taking advantage of a gap in time. The True Persons of various Divine Repositories were here, theoretically making up the highest combat force without any unexpected incidents, no Heavenly Demon would be able to breach this defense line, but in the case of a real failure, they could hold on for a while, and the powers behind them surely had contingency plans.

But the preparations made by Bitter Silence and the Heavenly Demons exceeded everyone’s expectations, rendering those backup plans unable to react in time. In an instant, a battle formation was established around Broken Blade Mountain, gaining the upper hand.

What An Jing needed to do was not to slay the remaining avatars of the Great Heavenly Demons, but to break their formation, making it possible for the mighty warriors from all sides, who could contend with this situation, to arrive.

"Subdue Evil."

A plan had already formed in his heart, and sensing this, Subdue Evil instantly understood, "I know, go ahead and do it."

Thus, in a brief and silent standoff, An Jing drew his sword for the fourth time.

This time, the force he applied was not ’swift’ or ’hard’, but a whip, an illusion, a dispersal—in the instant An Jing unsheathed his sword, the straight Heavenly Sword instantly divided into dozens upon hundreds of erratic, snaking Sword Lights, writhing like dragons!

Condensing Qi into Soldiers·Deriving Hundred Soldiers!

The might of the Heavenly Sword, coupled with the ability of Divine Skills, nearly accomplished the Sword Light Division of the Sword Dao.

An Ice Demon floating in midair was sliced in half by one of these divided Sword Lights, so instantaneously that it didn’t even realize what had happened until its lower half, following the Primordial Magnetic Power, began to fall downwards, indicating how incredibly formidable these divided Sword Lights were, not to be underestimated.

Perhaps the Great Heavenly Demons would not be affected, but this strike would suffice to slay any surrounding demons of insufficient strength.

But a Great Heavenly Demon Extreme Evil avatar stepped forward to defend. Its nine heads stretched out successively, like a dexterous hand plucking a harp’s strings, deflecting all the incoming Sword Lights, shattering and scattering countless surging Sword Lights. The deflected Sword Lights tore through the clouds above, causing disarray amongst the stars and moon, and beneath, causing mountains to shift and the earth to boom. Consequently, the heads of the Extreme Evil were all annihilated, leaving its body limp and unable to fight again for a short period.

Amid the continuous tremors caused by the Sword Light touching the ground and the Extreme Evil’s falling, An Jing, without any hesitation, executed the fifth and sixth strikes.

The Sword Light galloped, aiming not at the Heavenly Demons but cunningly twisting left and right, spiraling toward the Yuan Dong on the ground, like a silvery blue pair of scissor-dragons chopping into the source of the endlessly spawning avatars of the Demon Crowds’ Great Heavenly Demon.

The Heavenly Demons swarmed to the forefront, with the leading Great Heavenly Demon avatars using their own bodies to block the Sword Light. A thunderous explosion was heard as two of the Great Heavenly Demon avatars charging forward were struck in the chest by the Sword Light from Subdue Evil, carrying them away.

These two Great Heavenly Demons were known as ’Man Du’ and ’Corrosive Thirst’, and they possessed incredibly tenacious Life Forces. While other Heavenly Demons touched by the residual power of the Swift Sword Light in flight turned to ash, these two managed to hold on until the end, getting pinned to distant mountains by the two Sword Lights, causing a violent tremor to shake the heavens and the earth, kicking up towering clouds of dust.

But their fate was no better: with the Sword Qi of Subdue Evil entering their bodies, their colossal forms twisted helplessly, writhing, as golden-red veins like the flowing lava from an erupting volcano spread within. Everywhere it passed, the demon bodies disintegrated, Flesh and Blood melted, and the terrifying heat burned away their substance, turning into scattered sparks flickering in the sky.
