Chapter 1427: Improving their Crafts (Part 1)

At this time, the couple were in the lounge area of their room, with Althea resting her head on her man’s shoulder. It was a nice quiet time for the couple who treasured each alone time they had with each other.

The kids, at this time, were still having the time of their lives in the playground and could not get dragged off. This was truer when some of their friends, like Theo had gone home from school and joined them.

Basically, that part of the villa had become a boisterous pirate ship.

This was fine, at least it meant the babies would get exhausted and fall asleep faster.

While Althea was reading a book as she rested on him, Garan looked at the new metal on his palms.

He played around with it for a bit, feeling each part of its surface. He then used his ability to have a more intimate feel of it. He had been doing this for the past half an hour or so.

His wife had already shown him a video of the microscopic recording with her phone, which facilitated the ease with which he understood its structure.

When he felt that he understood the material enough, he concentrated his ability on his other palm. Althea felt the change in the atmosphere and pulled her eyes away from her book (it was an action novel written by Aditi) and watched her husband’s actions.

Soon, a spike of metal appeared out of his palm, having a slightly different look than before.

Unlike the more muted silver color it previously had, this one had a brighter, more lustrous finish. It also appeared more polished.

"Did you do it?" Althea asked, leaning over to see.

Garan’s eyes narrowed at the metal, studying its composition. His previous metal had now become an improved alloy with the new material.

This new metal now had higher corrosion resistance. Before this, his metal was similar to stainless steel, but it wasn’t stainless steel in the end. With the addition of metals similar—but better—to chromium and nickel, his ability had definitely levelled up again.

It was pretty good before, but there were people with corrosion-based abilities like Cain out there, and it’d be useful to have as much resistance as he could get.

The alloy also had increased toughness and ductility, allowing it to withstand more impact and deformation without cracking. It will also be more stable at high temperatures. Although he had yet to find or hear about an elementalist who could melt his metal, there were still other tools that could do so.

It was also stronger, so he could get the same effect with far less mass—and energy—than before.

Althea blinked, very impressed. She had high expectations, knowing his talents, but this was really too much. It had been less than an hour since he got hold of the sample!

"My husband is so talented," she said, genuinely admiring. She wrapped her arms around his neck to give him a peck on the cheek.

Chu!

Althea gestured to go back to her book, but Garan’s large hand held on to her stomach. After all, how could Garan be satisfied with a little peck that sent cute tingles from his cheek down his crotch?

He immediately pulled her in and leaned down to meet her lips, gently pushing her down onto the sofa.

His tongue immediately licked her lips and parted them, granting himself entry into her moist mouth. Althea succumbed immediately, wrapping her arms around him to facilitate his plunder.

Speaking of Skill level ups, Althea also saw some progress with her new skill. She had wanted to tell him about it. However, her husband’s kissing skills were blurring her mind, so this was pushed out of her mind.

Their lips parted, but Garan’s lips never left her. It moved to her cheek, then her ears, all while his large hand caressed her legs, going up her skirt and fingers teasingly moving around her underwear.

"O-Oh..."

Garan loved her moans, and his calloused fingers entered her folds, causing her to squirm seductively under him. Garan locked the door using his ability, even adding ice there to prevent any interruptions.

Squelch

"Hngg~"

Althea’s mouth parted as she felt the onslaught of slow-burning pleasure attack her senses. She gripped her husband’s wide shoulders, and he took it as a signal to go deeper, add another finger, and make her feel like she had ascended to another place.

Squelch

"A-Ah... h-husband..."

Garan was barely breathing now, his deep blue eyes staring at his wife’s expression the whole time, feeling his own... difficulty suffocating him down below.

However, before they could go any further, cute little knocks sounded on the door.

Knock! Knock! KNOCK!

"MaaammaAAAAA" This was Little Meatball.

"Mammmmieeee!" And this was Little Pepper.

This made the adults flinch and look at each other.

Sigh

Garan rubbed his head on her neck before finally lifting his body, and reluctantly moving his hand out. He was worried that delaying it would get Pepper appear in the room, so they just stopped it.

Garan took out the ice blocking the door and the kids immediately entered. Althea—who was still flushed—sat up and met them, kneeling down to their level. The twins had wide smiles on their almost-toothless grins, and they immediately ran to her embrace with their little feet.

They were all messy with the dirt all over, and they had some leaves and even pebbles in their hair though.

"We’re sorry! They run so fast!" Harold and the others gasped as they reached their threshold. Althea looked at the poor adults who seemed to have only caught up, and she could tell the kids caused some headaches again.

She looked down on her children, about to ask them what they did this time. It was just that the babies were super cute and chubby and their rounded eyes were a bit teary. If she’d make a guess, they were about to cry because they opened the door late.

People’s hearts inevitably softened. She smiled and rubbed their little faces. "So.. what’s got you looking for me so desperately?"

The two kids immediately made a few things appear, showing it off to her with their small palms. Flowers.

"Hewe!" they yelled, and everyone’s eyebrows rose. Rather than the flower, what startled them was where they took it from: Their Spaces.

It seemed like the children were already proficient in using their spaces.
