Chapter 520: Chapter 484: Who is better? Here, nothing matters (3rd update)

"My ancestors, actually, I don’t understand much about love. To be honest with you, I haven’t touched a woman’s hand in my life..." Evan Taylor admitted, blushing a little.

Chloe Stephens: "..."

Evan Taylor, clearing his throat, explained: "They call me father because they were adopted by me. You know, in large families this is quite common."

Chloe Stephens said, "Strive to stay young, find a good woman and fall in love."

Evan Taylor: "..."

Showed no emotion and turned away.

Suddenly, Evan Taylor came back to his senses: "Is it...that Hawthorne brat, has he...made a move on you?"

"I’m underage."

Those were her last words before she disappeared.

Evan Taylor was dumbfounded, so was anything in that or not?

Indeed, Chloe’s body is underage, but her soul has existed for many years.

Evan Taylor was somewhat worried that Len Hawthorne would harm Chloe.

Who knows if Len Hawthorne’s deadly aura could kill even someone like Chloe.

*

Len Hawthorne had not slept all night, he was busy with his Slaughter Squad, by the time he sat to eat a bun, it was already night of the next day.

All the team members could see that Len Hawthorne was not in a good mood, so no one dared to speak. They all worked hard in silence.

Director Crowley could count on one hand the times Hawthorne had smiled that day, so no one dared approach him.

Even the group chat was quiet.

Ethan Coates called, "Young Master Hawthorne, the Hawthorne Family is on the move again, clearly this time they are really angry."

After swallowing his last bite, Len Hawthorne revealed a chilling smile: "They’re angry? Why do they have the right to be angry? Is it because they are just sore losers who failed to cause trouble in Sheffield City, and so they are infuriated?"

Ethan Coates shrugged, saying: "The Hawthorne Family is just like that, Young Master Hawthorne, sometimes I really feel sorry for you, being born in such a family. Although our Coates Family isn’t much better, it’s definitely a lot better than the Hawthorne Family."

"Take your men and stop them, whoever dares to set foot in Sheffield City without my consent shall be executed."

"I understand," said Ethan, seemingly unbothered about playing the villain.

The Hawthorne Family disgusted him, especially when Jade Hawthorne was around, she was particularly insufferable.

Len Hawthorne opened his call log and rang Jimmy Turner: "Let’s switch places, you come to Sheffield City."

Jimmy’s voice was frosty: "Is it because of the hotel incident with the little girl?"

Len Hawthorne: "..."

"If so, I can."

Len Hawthorne clicked his tongue, "Forget I mentioned it."

After hanging up, Len Hawthorne felt rather sullen.

He clutched his mobile phone, shoving another bun into his mouth, got up and left for the Golden Villa.

As his car came to a stop, he saw a figure on the opposite side standing outside Chloe’s villa door.

Upon hearing the sound of the car, Morgan Crowley turned around. Seeing Len Hawthorne, his expression faltered.

"Fifth Young Master Hawthorne."

Len Hawthorne raised an eyebrow, "Director Crowley, what brings you here?"

"Just here to greet Chloe," Morgan stepped forward, looking at Len, "And what brings you here, Fifth Young Master?"

"Chloe is underage. You ought to keep your distance, Director Crowley. It’s disgraceful to lay hands on a little girl."

Realizing that Len’s emotions were running high, Morgan frowned slightly.

Behind him.

Chloe walked in, schoolbag in hand. She glanced at the two men. "What are you standing around here for?"

"Chloe..." Morgan stepped forward, "I was just about to talk to you about cooperating on a project."

"What cooperation?"

"Your mother runs a company in the mountain county, right? I think it fits perfectly with the project we are planning. If possible, I hope to get in touch with your mother to discuss a possible cooperation." Morgan decided to make the first move and get on Chloe’s good side.

Seeing him, Len frowned again. This Morgan Crowley was really restless.

"Sure," Chloe said: "I’ll discuss it with my mother. Thank you for yesterday."

Morgan Crowley thought he had misheard, Godfrey Stephens was actually thanking him!

He laughed, "I’ve also been graced by your kindness. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be able to stand here so well."

"This is all due to your own luck. You paid, and I offered goods. It’s a fair transaction. There’s no such thing as a favor." Chloe’s cold response made Morgan Crowley feel a bit awkward in front of Len Hawthorne.

Len Hawthorne reached into his pocket and pulled out the pack of cigarettes that Chloe had given him. He casually took one out and put it in his mouth.

Then he casually tossed the cigarette box in his hand as if showing off.

But Morgan Crowley had no idea the cigarettes were a gift from Chloe, so Len Hawthorne was showing off for nothing.

Chloe turned to look at Len, "Did you get your situation sorted out?"

"Almost. The robot you gave me was a big help."

Upon hearing this, Morgan Crowley’s eyes widened.

His purpose for coming here was to request for a robot.

But what did he hear?

Godfrey Stephens had given a robot to Len Hawthorne?

He was good-looking himself, so why didn’t she give one to him!

That’s totally unfair.

Chloe nodded and opened the door to go in.

Len Hawthorne naturally followed her into the villa, Morgan Crowley pondered for a moment and also followed them in.

Just as he reached the door, Chloe turned to look at him, "Did you get your situation sorted out?"

"..."

She could have just told him to leave.

Feeling displeased, Morgan Crowley said, "I’m injured, Godfrey, do you want to check my pulse?"

Chloe pulled out a bottle of medicine from her bag and tossed it to him: "Take the medicine yourself."

Morgan Crowley: "..."

Len Hawthorne turned around and slammed the door shut.

Morgan Crowley’s mouth twitched.

Len Hawthorne followed Chloe up to the second floor. All the robots had returned and the unharmed robots were repairing the severely damaged ones.

There was no need for Chloe to do anything.

"What are you planning on doing next?"

"Go to school."

"..."

"A red-robed priest from Western Europe has entered Sheffield City, aren’t you going to investigate?" She remembered there was a binding treaty between the ancient martial artists and the Western European witches.

"At the moment, we suspect that the witch from Western Europe is entering and exiting through Dark City, but we don’t have enough members of the Slaughter Squad stationed there. It is a great hideout with limited personnel, a good place for commuting," Len Hawthorne wanted to clear these things up as well, unfortunately, his Slaughter Squad didn’t seem to be up to the task.

He planned to use his other resources.

Apart from the power of the Slaughter Squad, powers from other places could also be shifted in.

However, doing so would likely lead to widespread panic.

Len Hawthorne lifted his chin, "You and this Morgan Crowley seem to get along well."

Chloe went outside to the balcony, hearing Len Hawthorne’s words, she answered flatly, "Not bad."

Len Hawthorne raised an eyebrow, "Who’s better, compared to your elder brother?"

Chloe suddenly turned around, looking at the tall man leaning against the door frame and smoking.

Even the night couldn’t hide his charm, she shifted her gaze from the attractive man, her tone carrying a hint of weirdness: "Are you asking me this in the context of a romantic relationship?"

Len shook his head, his eyes slightly dark, "I’m asking seriously."

"In terms of status, he’s better. As for his standing with me, he means nothing."

Chloe was answering very seriously.

Len was taken aback, suddenly letting out a low, magnetic laugh, "Little Chloe, you’re really something!"

Chloe thought he was sick.

And it was not a minor illness.
