Chapter 420: Chapter 393: It’s Your Turn (2 more)

"Is Captain Hawthorne aware of what the Hawthorne Family is doing?"

Liam Lynch’s statement instantly froze the tense atmosphere.

Jade Hawthorne greatly detested Len Hawthorne. She always viewed her younger brother as an enemy.

When someone mentioned Len Hawthorne in front of her, it was as if they were speaking of her enemy.

Her expression instantly changed.

It was ominous, as if it were poisoned.

"Since when did the Hawthorne family’s affairs become his to interfere with?"

Liam Lynch found the change in Jade Hawthorne’s gaze somewhat strange.

He didn’t understand the thinking of the Hawthorne Family. They disregarded the benefits of getting along with Len Hawthorne and instead harbored hatred, wouldn’t this be a case of detriment without any gain?

If the Hawthorne Family maintained a good relationship with Len.

A power like the Slaughter Squad would have to provide some protection for the Hawthorne Family.

Even if the rumors about Len Hawthorne were terrifying, if the Hawthorne Family made good use of him, it would be a mighty weapon!

However, the Hawthorne family didn’t do this; when they mentioned Len Hawthorne, it was as if they were speaking of their mortal enemy.

Jade Hawthorne coldly stood up, "The Lynch Family needs to consider this carefully, the Hawthorne Family will give the Lynch family three days."

After leaving these words, Jade Hawthorne left with her entourage.

Everyone in the Lynch Family, suppressing their anger, looked at Liam Lynch, awaiting his decision.

Liam Lynch didn’t say anything, only mentioning that he would discuss with the elder before giving everybody an answer.

The waves on the coastline got higher and higher, and the day was getting darker.

With a single strike, Chloe Stephens swept the people around Dylan Watsons into the sea.

Dylan Watsons fixed his icy stare on Chloe Stephens.

"It’s your turn."

The seemingly mundane three words landed in Dylan Watsons’ ears like dirty water.

They soiled his ears.

"The Stephens Family has a martial artist of this caliber, truly surprising."

"After you die, you can have your family come find me."

"Such arrogant words."

Dylan Watsons laughed coldly.

Chloe Stephens charged up a strike right where she stood.

"Whoomp!"

A low noise echoed through the air.

Dylan Watsons’ body was sent flying out of the sea and heavily landed back in.

The waves threw him up, he drew a heavy breath and leaped back up.

Invisible strength gathered under his feet, blocking the waves. As though he could float on top of the waves, he hung in the air, coldly staring at Chloe Stephens.

In the center of the waves, a young girl calmly walked toward him.

It seemed like she only took a few steps, but she was already in front of him.

"You..."

Dylan Watsons looked at Chloe Stephens in disbelief.

Suddenly, Chloe Stephens reached out and grabbed his neck, pushing him towards the sea floor with force.

"Boom!"

A louder noise than the waves crashing against the shore echoed.

Water splashed everywhere.

A huge whirlpool formed in the center of the sea, within the whirlpool, Chloe Stephens was pushing someone towards the sea floor.

Dylan Watsons felt a sensation of suffocation, and an indescribable sense of fear.

In the ancient martial world of the Imperial Capital.

He, Dylan Watsons, was hailed as a master martial artist and few dared to offend him.

In the Watsons Family, he held a certain status as well.

But he never thought that there would come a day when he would be suppressed by a little girl, and also be unable to fight back.

Even if it was the family’s ancestor, they might not be able to achieve this level, right?

Who exactly was this girl?

Why was her cultivation so powerful?

The Stephens Family from Sheffield City.

Why had there not been any information about this?

Suddenly, Chloe Stephens let go of her grip, striking a silver needle into his acupoint.

Perhaps because Chloe Stephens was running out of strength, this strike didn’t do much harm.

"Bang!"

The sea water on both sides crashed into each other, causing another loud noise.

Chloe Stephens was enveloped by the sea water, allowing the waves to carry her back to the surface.

While Dylan Watsons, under the heavy impact, was being dragged down by the sea water. His oxygen-deprived brain felt as though it was going to explode.

*

Chloe Stephens leaned against the shoreline, breathing slightly heavily.

She looked sideways at the still soundly breathing Franklin Walter.

"Thump!"

From the high ground, someone leaped into the sea, dragging the barely breathing Dylan Watsons to the other side.

Chloe Stephens was sitting next to a stone, squinting her eyes as she stared at the person across the narrow stretch of sea.

Locking eyes with Chloe, Calvin Lawson instructed someone behind him to take Dylan Watsons away.

In the sky.

A black cat lunged fiercely at Calvin Lawson.

"Meow!"

"Smack."

With a single swipe Calvin Lawson batted the black cat aside, reaching out to grab its neck.

Chloe slowly stood up.

The black cat meowed, its four paws clawing towards his hand.

The sting made Calvin let go. He frowned as he saw the black energy on the wound and the black cat that suddenly grew larger.

"Meow."

The black cat took a few steps back, avoiding the water.

"You’re powerful, but in water, you can’t even protect her."

"Meow."

The black cat let out a low growl.

Just as Calvin finished his sentence, a whirlpool curse suddenly erupted, and a burst of water spiraled towards him.

The black cat vanished on the spot.

"Boom."

All objects along the coastline were shattered.

Calvin Lawson dispersed the energy from the incoming water surge.

On the other side of the shore, a girl was watching him, her gaze clear and cold against the wind.

In the moonlight, the girl’s silhouette seemed cold and aloof.

Calvin brushed off the spray from his body. When he turned around to look at the girl, she had already left with the boy.

No one behind him made a sound, only waiting for his command.

Calvin didn’t follow them. Though he knew the girl was depleted of strength, he remained still.

*

Franklin Walter woke up. It was already noon the next day.

He sat upright on the bed and turned around to see the girl standing by the window. He vaguely remembered being thrown into the sea.

Then everything else was a blank.

"Chloe? Why are you here? Did those people harm you? How am I unharmed? Wasn’t I thrown into the sea?"

Franklin had many questions.

Chloe turned around to look at the energetic Franklin. "I pulled you out," She said.

"..."

That was the ocean.

With such violent waves, wouldn’t any ancient martial artist who entered it be carried away?

"If you’re okay, go back."

"What about you? Are you okay?"

"I’m fine."

"Let me check..." Franklin get off the bed to examine Chloe, hesitated when he reached for her hand, suddenly embarrassed.

"Let’s go."

Chloe turned and walked out the door.

*

Outside the hotel.

Several cars were parked outside, all from the Slaughter Squad.

Seeing Chloe safe and sound was a huge relief.

"Miss Chloe Stephens, Captain Hawthorne sent us to pick you up. He suddenly had to deal with an urgent matter, so..."

"Mm," Chloe didn’t ask about Len’s whereabouts. Instead, she jumped into the car with Franklin.

Franklin wisely didn’t ask any questions.

After escorting Franklin to the Youth Basketball Team, Chloe gave Franklin a pill and left with the Slaughter Squad.

"Miss Chloe Stephens, where are we going now?"

"Back to Sheffield City."

Chloe lifted her head and looked at the dazzling sun in the sky. Rays of light refracted into the car through the glass window, illuminating her eyes and casting a soft green light in her pupils.

The light flickered and vanished. If you looked again, you would see nothing.

Chloe withdrew her gaze and suddenly asked the team member, "What has happened in Western Europe?"

"Nothing happened," the team member cautiously responded.

Chloe glanced at the team member, her tone indifferent: "Is that so."

*

At this time.

Western European Judgment Hall.

With a charming smile, Len Hawthorne stepped out of his car and walked towards the grand hall flanked by his men in camouflage. The black-robed wizards of Western Europe lined up on both sides, bowing to the leading Len in a gesture of international courtesy.

His arrival made the wizards of Western Europe tremble, as if a demon had invaded their sacred land. Everyone was on guard and prepared for a sudden attack from the demon.
