Chapter 237: Chapter 210: Chloe Stephens, Beg Me (Part 4)
"What’s going on here?"
Amelia Taylor and Mrs. Winston, who came out from inside, saw Franklin Walter lying on the ground and Chloe Stephens holding Ranolf Winston back, and Amelia looked a little surprised.
Why did she run into her again?
"Young lady, your friend is in trouble. What are you doing stopping our family?"
Mrs. Winston stepped forward with a cold and arrogant expression.
This contemptuous attitude ignited Abigail Wilson’s anger.
"It was him who hurt my friend, he must have poisoned him."
When Abigail Wilson shouted, many people looked over immediately.
Ranolf Winston sneered: "I didn’t do anything. He came up to me on his own. What does it have to do with me?"
"So, you admit it," Mason Sullivan saw Franklin Walter’s face turning greener by the moment and stood up angrily, walking towards him to grab Ranolf Winston’s collar and beat him.
Ranolf Winston just stood there waiting for Mason Sullivan to come up to him.
A hand pulled Mason Sullivan away.
"Bang!"
Before anyone could react, Ranolf Winston, who had been standing in front of them just moments ago, was sent flying by a punch.
He fell from the second floor.
The glass window on the second floor was shattered.
Mrs. Winston watched her son fly past her in disbelief.
Amelia Taylor’s eyes snapped to Chloe Stephens.
It didn’t seem like a strong punch, just a normal force from someone who practiced martial arts. But because it was on the second floor, it looked as if he had been thrown out.
The manager of the dining hall rushed over quickly.
Seeing Franklin Walter lying on the floor with a green face, he was startled, thinking it was food poisoning from their food and quickly called an ambulance.
When Amelia Taylor saw Franklin Walter like that, she knew that he had been poisoned.
She looked at the girl.
"Chloe, as long as you ask, I can save your friend. I’m from the Taylor family, and there’s no one more suitable for detoxifying than me."
Her tone seemed to imply, "Chloe, ask me for help, beg me, and I’ll consider saving him."
Mrs. Winston ran to the window and looked down. Her son had already stood up and was walking back towards the building.
Seeing this, Mrs. Winston breathed a sigh of relief.
She turned around and heard Amelia Taylor’s words, angrily saying: "Miss Amelia, why should we even save such a person? Even if he dies, it has nothing to do with us, and he deserves it as well."
The people around heard this and frowned.
Some recognized her as Mrs. Winston and immediately closed their mouths when they wanted to start whispering.
"Chloe," Amelia Taylor reminded Chloe, that she still had another chance.
Amelia slightly narrowed her eyes, hidden behind a mask, unrecognizable even without it.
Ava Sanders and the others stared at Chloe in a daze.
From Chloe’s hesitation to Amelia’s voice, they continued to stare at Chloe.
"Move him into the private room."
"Chloe," Mason Sullivan hesitated.
"Take him in."
"Chloe, you’re actually harming him." Amelia Taylor looked at them, "Originally your friend could be saved, but now since she won’t say anything, your friend’s death will be her fault."
Chloe did not even spare her a glance as she walked towards their reserved private room.
The manager hurriedly tried to stop them: "The ambulance is already on the way, you all...".
"We’ll take responsibility for our own affairs." Chloe’s cold voice came from ahead.
Mason Sullivan had no choice but to help Franklin Walter into the private room.
"Let them be, his death has nothing to do with us," Mrs. Winston stopped Amelia Taylor and sneered, "I have to get an explanation from you for pushing my son down the stairs. I’ve already called the police."
She stood there waiting for the police to come.
If these students had a criminal record, their future would be ruined.
Mrs. Winston had this plan in mind.
Amelia Taylor saw many people coming to watch and raised an eyebrow.
She didn’t want to be seen by too many people, being a public figure. Even though she was disguised, she was bound to be recognized by her fans eventually.
Ranolf Winston, with a livid face, walked up to them, "Where’s that damn girl?"
Mrs. Winston hurriedly restrained him, "This place is a public venue."
If an ancient martial artist revealed themselves here, it would invite the attention of the cleaning team.
Ranolf Winston thought of this too, his face gloomy and gritted his teeth, "This stinky girl, absolutely can’t let her off easily."
How dare she push him down the stairs.
*
In the private room.
The group stared nervously at Franklin Walter.
Outside, the restaurant manager and others were banging on the door, urging them to come out.
"Chloe Stephens..."
Just as Mason Sullivan was about to speak, he saw Chloe administer a medicine pill to Franklin Walter.
Then she pressed a few acupoints on him.
Franklin Walter’s iron-gray expression instantly eased, returning to normal.
"He’s awake! He’s awake!"
"Chloe, that was incredible!"
"What kind of medicine did you give him?" Mason Sullivan hastily pried Franklin Walter’s mouth open.
As soon as Franklin Walter opened his eyes, he saw someone prying his mouth open and smacked the hand away.
"What are you doing?"
"Franklin Walter, you’re awake! Great!"
"What’s going on?" Franklin Walter sat up, looking puzzled.
Abigail Wilson said, "It’s all because of that person outside, he touched you, and you got poisoned and fainted."
"Nowadays, society has all sorts of strange things," Ava Sanders let out a sigh of relief as she saw that Franklin Walter was okay, "Fortunately, he’s all right, thankfully."
Franklin Walter laughed bitterly, "You guys seem to be hoping for my death."
"Pah," Abigail Wilson spat, "You should thank Chloe Stephens. If it wasn’t for her, you’d be dead."
"Thank you," Franklin Walter looked at Chloe Stephens with a complicated expression and said thanks.
*
The police arrived.
Just as they were about to break down the door, the people inside came out.
"Officer, it was her, she pushed my son down the stairs. Lots of people saw it. The little girl looks kind, but who would have thought she has such a temper? She pushed someone just for bumping into her friend. Police officer, you must do something about this!"
Mrs. Winston pointed at Chloe Stephens and ratted her out.
"Hey, Auntie, it was your son who poisoned my classmate first. The surveillance here can prove it. And, he indirectly admitted it himself." Abigail Wilson glanced at the others, "Everyone heard. If you don’t believe it, you can check the surveillance."
"Check the surveillance," the police officers saw that they were still students and immediately asked the restaurant to check the surveillance footage.
Amelia Taylor looked behind Chloe Stephens.
Noticing Franklin Walter standing unharmed behind her, Amelia Taylor’s expression abruptly changed.
"How come he’s fine?"
She subconsciously pointed to Franklin Walter and asked.
Everyone’s gaze followed suit, only to see an unharmed Franklin Walter.
What’s going on?
Ranolf Winston squinted his eyes suspiciously, staring at Franklin Walter.
His poison shouldn’t have been that easy to cure.
Who cured the poison?
Was it this girl named Chloe Stephens?
Ranolf Winston stared at Chloe Stephens.
The surveillance footage was quickly retrieved, and in order not to disturb other diners, the manager asked everyone to go to an empty private room in front.
The private room was quite spacious and didn’t feel crowded even with several groups of people.
*
The surveillance footage indeed showed that Franklin Walter had fallen to the ground because of bumping into Ranolf Winston.
As the policeman’s gaze fell on Ranolf Winston, he sneered, "Officer, I didn’t touch him. He bumped into me on his own. Who knows if he has a serious illness that happened to attack him when he brushed past me? And then he tried to frame me for compensation."
"Bullshit," Abigail Wilson yelled angrily, "Just because your family is wealthy, doesn’t mean everyone else here is poor."
"Test for poison."
A cold voice sounded, and everyone’s attention was once again on the girl.
"The Eight Absolutes Medical Sect, the Taylor Family’s Young Miss is an expert in this field of study. Amelia Taylor, Miss Taylor, you understand, right?"
The girl’s gaze stared fixedly at her.
Amelia Taylor’s eyebrows furrowed at Chloe Stephens, who wanted her to go against the Winston Family.
Was it really unintentional?
