Chapter 271: Chapter 271 Janet’s Probing

Stella answered in a low voice, “Renea said she had something to deal with so she won’t come.”

Aron’s cold eyes deepened slightly as if he knew something.

“Uncle, I am sorry,” Stella said guiltily.

Originally, she wanted them to meet. She thought that it had been so long, even if Renea had been angry before, her anger had subsided. She asks them out together so that they can ease their relationship.

However...

Janet looked at Stella and Aron with meaningful eyes.

“Let’s go.” Aron turned around and got into the car.

Stella pulled Janet and got in the car as well.

Renea who was hiding behind the tree, looked at the departing car and turned around to go back to her dorm room.

She knew Stella’s purpose behind all this.

However, the knot in her heart was too deep and she didn’t want to meet Aron until the knot in her was untied.

Janet and Stella, who had come out after dinner, the two of them took a walk on the street arm in arm.

“Stella, what’s the relationship between your uncle and Renea?” Janet asked curiously.

Stella showed a difficult look and said, “I can’t answer you! I am afraid they are not even friends anymore.”

“Your uncle likes Renea?” Janet asked tentatively again.

Stella nodded. She had already treated Janet as a friend, so she didn’t hide anything from her.

“Renea doesn’t like you uncle?”

“Not really! How should I put it?” Stella thought for a moment and after some language organization, she said seriously, “To be honest, before Renea should have liked my uncle as well! At least she didn’t avoid him like she did now.”

“Then why would it be like this now? Is it because your uncle did something to hurt Renea?” Janet was getting more and more curious.

Stella shook her head and said, “Yes and no! I am not sure about the specifics, anyway. After Renea saw the birthmark on my uncle’s shoulder, she got angry and left?”

“Birthmark? Is it very special?” Janet asked curiously.

Stella whispered, “It’s just that, it looked like a butterfly, and Renea doesn’t like butterflies.”

“Just because she didn’t like butterflies?”

“Certainly not! Ah! But Renea isn’t willing to say why? You know, what Renea isn’t willing to say, no one can ask.”

Janet nodded, and after some pondering, she slowly said, “I have a way to make Renea to open to your uncle. I just don’t know if you are willing to take the risk?”

“What method?” Stella asked curiously.

Janet came to Stella’s ear and whispered a few words.

Stella’s face changed drastically and immediately vetoed, “No! If Renea knows abut it, she will kill me.”

“Let me tell you, wine will help people to speak the truth. After Renea speaks out her heart in front of your uncle, your uncle will know the right medicine! By then, the two of them will solve their misunderstandings, and Renea won’t blame us.”

What Janet said sounded reasonable, but Stella still felt a little nervous in her heart.

“If you think this will affect your and Renea’s relationship, then you can put it all on me.” Janet said righteously.

How could Stella, who had always been righteous, agree to this, and immediately vetoed this?

“How can I push a blame to you for something what I do?”

Under the darkness, the corner of Janet’s mouth hooked up a grim smile.

The Next Day.

“Renea, yesterday you were also too inadequate! We all waited for you for so long, but in the end, you didn’t come, causing Janet and I to eat propped up.” Stella said reproachfully.

Renea said faintly, “Sorry!”

Stella had long gotten too used to Renea’s cold attitude.

“You can’t dump us again today.”

Renea didn’t say anything. If Aron was there, she wouldn’t go again.

Stella seemed to have read her mind, reached out, put her hand on her shoulder, and said, “Tonight, it’s just me, you, and Janet! Only the three us, without any outsiders.”

Renea turned around and looked at Stella with her sharp eyes as if she wanted to see through her.

Stella glanced away somewhat sheepishly, not daring to meet her eyes.

“Renea, yesterday you didn’t come with us because of Stella’s uncle, right?” Janet’s words broke the heavy atmosphere.

Renea’s eyes narrowed slightly and she asked, “How did you know?”

“I saw you standing behind the tree yesterday and then I heard Stella talk about you and her uncle, so I guessed it.” Janet said with a naive face.

As if this matter was just a smile guess.

Renea narrowed her biting eyes slightly and looked at her.

Being looked at by such eyes, even calm and self-contained Janet also felt nervous and weak from the bottom of her heart.

“Renea, did... did I said something wrong?” Janet whispered in aggravation.

After some time, Renea withdrew her eyes and smiled faintly, “No, your guess was right.”

“Renea, I am sorry! But I called up my uncle because I want to ease the relationship between you two.” Stella admitted her mistake in a small whisper, completely at odds with her usual big-hearted personality.

“However, Renea, I promise you, today it’s just the three of us! There won’t be anyone else.”

Renea nodded her head in response.

****

After the afternoon class, Renea went out of the school gate with Stella and Janet and went to a high-end Chinese restaurant.

Indeed, as Stella said, there were only the three of them and no one else.

Because of Janet and Renea’s special status, Stella booked a private room.

“Come on, Renea you stood up us yesterday, so you have to be punished with a drink.” Stella raised her wine glass and said.

Renea didn’t move and faintly said, “I don’t drink.”

After what happened in her previous life because of drink, she didn’t like to drink anymore.
