Upon opening the door, Jiang Mianmian saw Yu Cheng standing there with a long, flat box in his hands. She let him in and asked, puzzled, "Brother Yu, what brings you here?"

"I’ve come to deliver a gift. My gift wasn’t here this afternoon; it just arrived, so I brought it over to you," Yu Cheng said as he handed the long box to Jiang Mianmian.

Jiang Mianmian looked down and discovered that it was a set of designer-specific brushes and colored pencils. Brother Yu’s gift was just so thoughtful.

Previously, when she was sketching out her designs, she had lamented more than once that her tools were too crude and couldn’t truly showcase her talent. She had no idea that such professional equipment would be delivered to her, it was just what she had needed.

Seeing Jiang Mianmian practically gluing her eyes to the brushes, Yu Cheng knew she liked it and asked knowingly, "What do you think? Do you like it?"

"I love it, Brother Yu, thank you. I really love this set of brushes," Jiang Mianmian said with a smile, hugging the box to her chest.

"It’s good that you like it. Oh, and I forgot to tell you, you’re not taking the train tomorrow. Grandpa said there’s a helicopter transporting supplies to the county next to yours, and there’s a spare seat. You can take the helicopter back," Yu Cheng said calmly, delivering the astonishing news.

Jiang Mianmian immediately exclaimed with joy, "Really? I get to ride in a helicopter too?"

These days, the train is seriously slow; it’s torturous.

"Yeah, helicopters are fast, safe, and it’ll save you from suffering," Yu Cheng remembered well how uncomfortable Jiang Mianmian had been when she took the train to Capital City.

"That’s wonderful, I’ll be sure to thank Grandpa Yu properly tomorrow."

Jiang Mianmian knew that not just anyone could ride in a helicopter transporting supplies, and she definitely had this opportunity because Grandpa Yu had made arrangements for her.

"Alright, pack up and get some rest. Go to bed early because we have to get up early tomorrow," Yu Cheng said, worried that Jiang Mianmian wouldn’t be able to sleep with all her excitement.

Yu Cheng lightly patted her head with a smile and then headed out.

When Jiang Mianmian got up in the morning, she called her dad first thing to inform him of the sudden change in her travel plans. She needed her dad to take some time off work to pick her up from the neighboring county.

Elder Yu knew that Jiang Mianmian was leaving today and deliberately didn’t go to the command center early. Instead, he stayed home to see her off.

Elder Yu stood at the door, looking at Jiang Mianmian with eyes full of affection, saying, "Mianmian, make sure you come visit often during your vacations."

"Grandpa, Sister, you guys go back," Yu Cheng said to the two of them before taking Jiang Mianmian by the hand and getting into the car.

The jeep hadn’t even left the command center when Jiang Mianmian, with her sharp eyes, spotted several people standing at the gate.

"Brother Yu, Brother Cheng An and the others are at the gate," she said.

"Uncle Ming, stop for a moment," Yu Cheng had seen them too and spoke to the driver, Uncle Ming.

The jeep pulled over to the side of the road and Jiang Mianmian and Yu Cheng got out.

"What are you guys doing here?"
