Chapter 471: Chapter 471: Business Comes Knocking 1

"You guys were incredibly bold to dare to steal guns,"

Yu Cheng raised an eyebrow, "That’s nothing. When He Ping was a kid and went to the army base with his dad, he even lit a bomb." Of course, afterwards, He Ping was whipped by his old man’s belt so badly that he couldn’t get out of bed for a month.

Jiang Mianmian was dumbfounded: ...It’s a miracle he wasn’t killed by his own parents.

Seeing her naive look, Yu Cheng leisurely said, "Next time I have a chance, I’ll take you to my current training base to shoot guns, okay?"

"Shooting? Sure, I’ve never even touched a real gun before," Jiang Mianmian said, excited.

As a law-abiding good citizen, Jiang Mianmian had only seen guns on television; she had never encountered one in real life.

"Brother Yu, let’s go sit by the river over there," Jiang Mianmian suggested.

"Sure."

The two of them sat by the river, dipping their feet into the stream. The cool water carried away the heat, and Jiang Mianmian stretched lazily, feeling comfortable.

"This place is really nice," Jiang Mianmian exclaimed.

"Yeah, we used to always come here to catch fish, raid bird nests, and roast them to eat. Whenever one of us was happy about something, we’d gather here. If we were upset, we would also come and run a few laps, punch the sandbags, just to vent," Yu Cheng reminisced.

"Are you not happy now?" Jiang Mianmian asked softly.

"No, I’m very happy right now," Yu Cheng said, smiling at Jiang Mianmian.

They stayed in the secret base for over an hour. When they returned, they saw Cheng An, Tang Lin, Xu Sheng, and Yu Rou all sitting on the living room sofa.

"Sister Yu, Brother Cheng An, Brother Tang Lin, Brother Xu Sheng, hello," Jiang Mianmian greeted politely.

"Yeah, hi Mianmian," Tang Lin said with a smile.

Xu Sheng also smiled and nodded.

"Hmm, Boss Yu, Mianmian, where have you been? We’ve been waiting for you for ages," Cheng An asked curiously.

"Why are you all here?" Yu Cheng asked the group.

"We’re here to bring Mianmian some business. You wouldn’t know, but this afternoon, several people called my house, asking me to come over and have Mianmian make custom clothes for them," Cheng An complained.

Because Elder Yu held a high rank, the ladies who wanted custom clothes couldn’t bother the Yu Family with such a trivial matter, so they asked the children from other families who were close to their own and to the Yu Family to pass the message.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Mianmian immediately got excited—business was coming to her!

Yu Cheng looked at Tang Lin and asked, "You too?"

"Yeah, several relatives of mine heard from somewhere that the clothes Mianmian makes are particularly good, saying that wearing them makes a person look more elegant. They insisted I come over and order some clothes for them. Here, these are their measurements," Tang Lin said, pulling out a piece of paper from his shirt pocket and handing it to Jiang Mianmian.

Jiang Mianmian took it and saw that it was filled with names, measurements, and clothing requests—all densely packed.

After a quick glance, she noticed there were four names on the paper, and two of them had ordered two pieces each—that was six garments in total. Adding the two that Madam Cheng had ordered earlier, it made eight.

Jiang Mianmian swallowed hard. This was a big job, and she didn’t have enough time. What was she going to do?

Wait, she hadn’t counted the several people that Cheng An had just mentioned.

Just as Jiang Mianmian was beginning to worry, Yu Rou walked over to her side, patted her shoulder, and said with a smile, "Mianmian, with this, you’re pretty famous in our military compound now."
