Chapter 401: Chapter 280: His Daughter

She was held in Fu Tingzhou’s arms for several minutes before the man finally let her go.

Tang Xi met his gaze, looking into his eyes that were like black whirlpools. She couldn’t discern any other emotion in his eyes; she couldn’t read him. She couldn’t see through him four years ago, and she still couldn’t now; he never wore his emotions on his sleeve.

Fu Tingzhou took her by the hand and shoved her into the car.

Shen Duan did not follow.

Tang Xi glanced at Shen Duan as Fu Tingzhou already stepped on the gas.

Tang Xi watched the scenery whizzing by outside the window, "Where are you taking me, Fu Tingzhou? I want to go home!"

"Tang Xi, these past days, I’ve thought a lot. After you suddenly disappeared, I thought a great deal," he said.

Tang Xi took a soft breath, waiting for what he would say next.

"Tang Xi, tell me, did we really have no feelings for each other four years ago?" His breathing became a bit rushed, as if the slight joy of seeing her return, the relief of finding what was lost, and the eagerness to immediately ask questions were all signs that he wanted to know the truth.

About the memories he lost.

"No, we didn’t have feelings," Tang Xi answered bluntly, not expecting this to be his question.

"No feelings!! No feelings, then whose daughter is your child!"

"I don’t know. Haven’t I told you before? You’ve also checked my background. I had several boyfriends at the time; how would I know whose child it is? Didn’t you know that I was involved with a man at the time, and that I seduced several rich young masters?"

"Tang Xi, don’t speak to me with such self-mocking and sarcastic tone. And don’t think you can just evade the past like that! I’m asking you, who is Tangtang’s father, I want to hear you answer it yourself!"

"Tangtang’s father! Tangtang’s father is just an ordinary person, nothing to do with you, Fu Tingzhou! My daughter, she has nothing to do with you!" Tang Xi’s vigilance shot up instantly, her eyes locking onto the man in front of her, her fingers curling into a tight fist in an instant.

Seeing Tang Xi like a fluffing cat, Fu Tingzhou suddenly laughed.

"Nothing to do with me? Tang Xi, do you take me for a fool!" With a pent up breath in his chest, Fu Tingzhou floored the accelerator, and as the vehicle lunged forward, Tang Xi was thrust forward by the sudden force; the man was driving fast, and her complexion turned pale with fear, "What are you doing, Fu Tingzhou, have you gone mad!"

The man hit the brakes hard.

Tang Xi nearly lost her seat.

She raised her hand to rub the sore spot on her forehead and took deep breaths to steady her chest.

Fu Tingzhou pulled his tie and, tearing it off, threw it aside. He unbuttoned his shirt as if he could finally breathe for a moment. During the days Tang Xi had been missing, he wore the same clothes while searching for her whereabouts. Up until receiving the call from Shen Duan tonight, he hadn’t changed them.

Looking at the exquisitely beautiful face of the woman in front of him, Fu Tingzhou couldn’t comprehend her.

It wasn’t because of his amnesia.

But because this woman, shrouded in mystery, had a capricious and restrained personality.

In front of him, she was like a person who could constantly change and never spoke a word of truth from her mouth.

Fu Tingzhou’s face was grim as he took an A4 paper from the storage compartment and threw it at Tang Xi.

"Take a good look, what is this?"

The paper, smelling of ink, landed on Tang Xi’s face.

The man’s strength was considerable, but he was restraining himself.

Looking into Fu Tingzhou’s eyes filled with fury, Tang Xi unfolded the paper, her pupils dilating in shock. The next second, she clutched the paper tightly in her hand, "It’s fake, it’s fake, it isn’t true!! Fu Tingzhou, this is fake!!"

"DNA proof, Tangtang and I, are father and daughter," said Fu Tingzhou coldly, glancing at her face that couldn’t hide its panic. A surge of turbid emotion rose in his heart; she indeed knew everything and had been hiding it from himself all along.

What a liar of a woman!

Does she ever speak the truth?

Tang Xi bit her lip hard, then she immediately tore the paper in her hand to pieces.

"Tangtang is not your daughter!" Her lips were dry, barely moving as she spoke.

Fu Tingzhou slowly started driving the car, not saying anything, just casting her a glance with a ’say whatever you like’ look.

Tang Xi’s headache was intense; she hadn’t expected the secret she had hidden for so long to be suddenly exposed.

Fu Tingzhou had discovered Tangtang’s whereabouts.

This DNA test result almost tore her sanity apart in an instant.
