Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Old Sir Qin

The large gate in front slowly opened, and the soldiers dressed in military uniforms on both sides stomped their feet, standing upright, they said in unison, "Fourth Young Master."

The military jeep slowly drove into the courtyard, circled around the central fountain, and finally stopped in front of the main entrance.

The car door opened, a pair of black military boots stepped onto the ground, followed by two long legs wrapped in military uniform. The young man bent over, stepped out of the jeep, and stood straight in front of the car door. He lowered his head slightly to adjust his cuffs, with thin lips tightly pressed, and his enigmatic face showed no expression at all. However, the eyes beneath the military hat were cold, seemingly brewing endless anger.

"Young Master Sun, you are back."

The front door opened, and a middle-aged man in a black suit hurried out from inside. His face lit up with joy upon seeing the young man in front of the car, and he quickly stepped forward to greet him.

Upon seeing the man, the young man’s expression softened slightly, but he still maintained a stern coldness, nodding slightly, "Uncle Han."

Housekeeper Han nodded and smiled in reply, then quickly said, "Go and see the old sir quickly, he has been thinking about you every day."

The young man nodded and stepped inside, "Where is the old man?"

"The old sir is practicing calligraphy in the study room right now."

Hearing Housekeeper Han’s words, the young man snorted with a faint smile, "Practicing calligraphy, pretending to be cultured."

Housekeeper Han just smiled at the young man’s words, evidently used to it. He led the young man upstairs and stopped in front of a redwood door, lightly knocking on it, "Sir, Young Master Sun is back."

"Hmm, let him wait," a slightly aged but full-spirited voice came from inside. Hearing the old man’s words, Housekeeper Han paused slightly, and shook his head at the young man.

The young man glanced at Housekeeper Han, his thin lips moved slightly as he spoke coldly, "Only Uncle Han can patiently play these games with the old man."

After speaking, without another word, he pushed the door open directly and stepped into the study room.

As soon as he entered the study, a rich aroma of ink hit his nose. The dense fragrance of ink mingled with a faint scent of incense. The young man frowned openly, turning his eyes to look at the old man who was seriously bent over the desk, writing with a brush.

The old man wore a loose white pajama set, his hair black but with a white beard flowing down his face to his chest. Standing upright at the desk, holding a writing brush, he dipped it slightly in ink, and then wrote the character ’君’ with a dignified posture. Upon closer look, there was an apparent touch of celestial grace in his bearing.

Drawing back his gaze, the young man turned and sat on the redwood chair, taking off his military hat and placing it on the table as he tidied his black hair, revealing his mesmerizing face. His thin lips moved slightly, "Staying in this room alone, aren’t you afraid one day you’ll get poisoned by this mess of incense and ascend to immortality."

"Pfft," the old man’s hand paused as he put down the brush with a thud, and looked up with sharp eyes that scattered away the celestial aura. The old man pointed at the young man’s nose and cursed, "Qin Ayan, you little brat, cursing me to ascend to immortality as soon as you come back! Speak up! What are your intentions!"

Regarding the old man’s outburst, it was clear that Qin Zhan was used to it. He lazily raised his eyelids, and after the old man finished cursing, he threw the military hat on the table towards the old man, "Finished cursing? Explain it to me."

The old man swiftly caught the hat and, contrary to his prior sternness, wore it with a cheeky smile, "Explain what?"

Qin Zhan let out a cold laugh, "General Qin, stop pretending. I haven’t worn this uniform for a long time, and today you force me to put it on. If you say you have no purpose, I wouldn’t believe it even if I were to be beaten to death."

Old Sir Qin took off the hat and carefully placed it on the character ’君’ he had just written. Looking at the young man, so distinguished in his military uniform, the old man sighed softly as if recalling something, "What purpose could I have that you don’t already know..."

"Ayan, the past is past. When you decided to leave back then, I understood. But now, you’ve had enough rest, it’s time to come back. They... need you."

"Ha," suddenly standing up, a cold gleam flashed from his phoenix eyes, a burst of icy sharpness emanated at once. He slowly removed the military uniform jacket and threw it on the redwood chair, thin lips moving slightly, "Grandpa, there’s nothing I don’t want to do. For now, no one can force me, including you."

"So are you forcing me now?!" Old Sir Qin slammed his hand on the table with a cold shout, "What if that young man Bi Xia is there too!"

The golden light in his eyes shone even more intensely, fury reached its peak. His thin lips curled into a sneer, Qin Zhan looked at Old Sir Qin icily, "If you dare touch him, I assure you, whether it’s that place or the Qin Family, they’ll all go down with him. I keep my promises."

Upon hearing this, Old Sir Qin was stunned. After a moment, he slumped into the chair, sighing softly, "You brat, you finally have someone you treasure. As a grandfather, I’m overjoyed, how could I possibly harm him."

"Forget it, let’s put this matter aside for now. Since you’re back, it’s about time you cleaned up the other mess you left behind," the old man waved his hand, "Wait downstairs, no, have a meal at home with the old man before you leave. It’s been a long time, I’ve missed you."

The golden gleam gradually faded, his phoenix eyes softened, Qin Zhan rubbed his temples helplessly, "Each time you have to make a fuss, aren’t you tired of it."

Who knew Old Sir Qin would snort, "Of course not. Oh, by the way, that kid Bi Xiaoxia, if you have taken a liking to him, bring him home for me to see. He looks pretty handsome in the photos; you’ve got good taste, just a pity he’s a boy..."

Qin Zhan glanced at Old Sir Qin lightly and said flatly, "Your grandson hasn’t even managed to pursue that kid yet. I thought I was anxious enough, but I didn’t expect you to be even more eager."
