Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Getting back at those who bullied you
The midday sky was exceptionally clear, with white clouds drifting away to reveal the brilliant sunshine.
The sheer white curtains gently swayed, letting the light spill through the floor-to-ceiling windows, accompanied by the fresh scent of flowers, waking the beauty who slept on the bed.
Isabella Weaver opened her eyes, feeling momentarily bewildered.
"Isabella!"
"Mr. Hunter? Am I in..."
Isabella Weaver came to her senses, realizing she was in Harry Hunter’s villa.
"Did you take me here from the hospital?"
"Yes."
Harry Hunter nodded, stepped forward to help her sit up, took a glass of warm water, and brought it to her lips: "Drink some water first, Aunt Hart cooked porridge; I’ll feed you later."
Isabella Weaver smiled softly and reached to take the glass: "I can do it myself..."
Before she could finish the word "do", her smile vanished.
"What happened to my hand?"
She anxiously broke free from Harry Hunter’s embrace, her eyes instantly turning red!
Her hand was tightly wrapped in white gauze, with spots of blood seeping through, and it felt numb and insensate!
This was her dominant right hand!
If her hand was ruined, how could she paint?!
Harry Hunter knew what she cared about the most, and hurriedly embraced her, saying, "It’s okay, don’t be afraid, it’s just a minor injury. The anesthetic hasn’t worn off yet, but I asked the doctor, and it won’t affect your painting."
Isabella Weaver’s eyes glistened with tears as she looked at Harry Hunter pleadingly: "Are you telling the truth? You’re not lying to me? You can’t lie about this, Harry."
Harry Hunter’s heart ached unbearably; he couldn’t stand seeing Isabella Weaver like this! It was heartbreaking!
"I’m not lying to you. I found the best doctor; once you heal, not even a scar will be left. It won’t affect your painting at all!"
Isabella Weaver’s tears fell as she leaned against Harry Hunter’s chest and murmured, "Okay."
"Drink a little water, be good."
"I don’t want to drink."
"What’s wrong?"
"It was after drinking the juice they gave me that I fainted. I didn’t want to drink it, but I hadn’t had water all night and I was unbearably thirsty. I thought if I didn’t eat their food, I’d be okay, but I didn’t expect them to drug the juice too."
Harry Hunter’s fingers clenched around the glass, turning his knuckles white, displaying his inner fury and emotion.
His voice became very low: "Isabella, it’s all in the past now. From now on, you have me. I’ll avenge you; we’ll find everyone who bullied you."
Isabella Weaver’s tears flowed freely, all her previous suffering now seeming insignificant. His comfort and affection brought her immense happiness.
She called out to him in a nasal voice: "Harry."
"Yes."
"You mustn’t divorce me."
"Yes, I won’t."
"You can’t marry Cherry Lewis."
"Yes, I won’t."
Isabella Weaver was satisfied and lifted her head: "I want some water."
Harry Hunter brought the glass to her lips, watching as she quickly finished it, realizing she was terribly thirsty.
After drinking the water, Isabella Weaver wanted to get out of bed, but as soon as she moved, Harry Hunter held her tightly.
"Don’t move, let me hold you a little longer."
His lips pressed against Isabella Weaver’s forehead, kissing it repeatedly, as if she were a precious treasure.
"From now on, live with me, don’t live alone anymore."
"Okay."
Isabella Weaver responded softly, not resisting this time.
But after thinking for a moment, she suddenly asked: "In this place, will I get kicked out by some people?"
"Who would dare?!"
Harry Hunter’s expression chilled: "I’ve already arranged people at home; without my permission, no one can come in!"
