Chapter 167: Husband, are you busy?

Chapter 167: Chapter 167: Husband, are you busy?

Cherry’s face stiffened slightly, but she quickly smiled with grace and elegance: "Oh, it’s Connor. Brother Harry just took over the group, so he’s quite busy. The Lewis Family is hosting a charity gala in a few days, and I want to invite Brother Harry. Is there any free time in his schedule these days?"

"For Young Master’s work schedule, you need to ask his secretary—I’m just his aide, wherever Young Master goes, I go."

"Okay, thank you!"

Cherry didn’t get any information out, but she kept a gentle smile on her face because Harry was always like this, keeping work and private matters separate; many of his affairs, not even she, nor the grandmother who raised him, could ask about.

She hung up the phone, looking towards Isabella on the second floor with a hint of pride: "It’s your turn."

Isabella found Harry’s number on her phone, and seeing the word "husband" in the contact name column, she smiled.

She dialed the number and activated the speakerphone. In a matter of seconds, the call was connected.

"Isabella, what’s up?"

Harry’s cold, deep voice echoed through the Weaver Family’s entire living room.

Cherry’s face quickly turned white, she stared intently at Isabella’s phone, unwilling to believe that Harry would directly take her call!

Wasn’t he in a meeting?

In the past, he would absolutely never take personal calls during work hours; Connor always transferred them!

The faces of the Weavers were also varied in expression. Christopher was fine; he was shrewd and old enough to remain calm.

Ella simply couldn’t conceal her surprise; she really couldn’t understand why Harry would choose Isabella when Cherry was such an excellent marriage candidate!

"Husband, are you busy?"

"Not too busy, I’m in a meeting."

"I’m at the Weaver Family, Miss Lewis and her grandmother came to my house. They gave my dad money to ask me to divorce you! Husband, should I agree?"

"We won’t divorce. If anyone dares to ask you to divorce, I will make sure their whole family divorces!"

The call ended, yet Harry’s cold, imposing voice seemed to still linger in the Weaver living room.

Cherry’s pride shattered completely; she felt her face burning, as if slapped from afar. It hurt and was humiliating!

She sank back onto the sofa, burying her face into Old Madam Lewis’s arms, saying with great grievance: "Grandmother, Brother Harry has been like this recently, always aggravating me. He’s surely doing it on purpose!"

Old Madam Lewis lovingly patted her granddaughter’s back, cast a cold glance at Isabella, and spoke with considerable authority: "You are the most excellent girl A City has to offer, Cherry. There’s no need to be upset; Little Harry is so clever, he surely knows who is best. In this world, no marriage is irrevocable; it only depends on whether our offer can touch someone’s heart."

Christopher chuckled; he understood that the old lady had grasped his meaning—Isabella’s marriage decision lay in his hands, not hers, so as long as he was swayed, divorce wouldn’t be an issue!

No one in the living room cared about Isabella’s feelings, nor did they take Harry’s recent words to heart, embarking on another round of bargaining drama.

Ten minutes later, as Christopher was about to request more money, a bodyguard rushed in without announcement, shouting in panic: "It’s bad, someone has injured all our brothers and is breaking in..."

Before he could finish speaking, he was kicked on the waist, his entire body sent flying.

Connor withdrew his foot, bowed respectfully: "Young Master, please come in."

Harry, in a neatly tailored suit, carrying a cold and formidable presence, walked into the living room.

His gaze fell on Isabella on the second floor; seeing she was safe and sound, he revealed a faint smile: "My lady, I came to take you home."
