After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic -
Chapter 151 The Sweetness of Love
Chapter 151: Chapter 151 The Sweetness of Love
Harry Hunter finished his business quickly today, refusing even to have lunch with Mayor Charles, naturally to return to the hotel to accompany his little wife.
Isabella Weaver worked through the night again last night, tirelessly sketching and sending resumes to various companies, busy and overwhelmed. It was not until after six in the morning, after having breakfast, that she went to sleep.
Harry calculated, feeling a pang in his heart; she had only been sleeping four or five hours a day for quite some time.
At eleven-thirty, Harry entered the hotel suite and saw Isabella was already up.
She was wearing the hotel’s white bathrobe, her feet in the hotel’s white plush slippers, long hair casually tied up in a bun, groggily brushing her teeth in the bathroom.
Upon seeing Harry, she turned her head, her eyes were beautiful but unfocused, evidently still sleepy, and she mumbled, "Morning, Mr. Hunter."
Although it was already late morning and not exactly ’morning,’ Harry still happily replied, "Morning, my lady."
The drowsy Isabella aroused his tender feelings, and leaning against the door, he persuaded her, "If you’re tired, sleep some more. You’re still growing, sleeping too little won’t help your growth."
Isabella woke up a bit more and glared at him, "Are you saying I’m short?"
She was 166 cm, not too tall but definitely not short. However, next to Harry, who was 188 cm, she appeared more petite.
Receiving her sharp gaze, Harry wasn’t angry; instead, he found his little wife increasingly adorable. He hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, "Not short, just right."
He didn’t care much about her height; he only cared about her health.
Isabella was always conservatively dressed, even her pajamas were long-sleeved and long pants, wrapped up securely. Today, she was rare wearing a bathrobe, exposing a large area of her skin at the neckline, white and delicate, captivating Harry’s eyes.
Her delicate, slender collarbone and the faint, pleasant fragrance of a young woman led his gaze down to the vague curves.
Such a beautiful youthful scenery made Harry feel his blood flow speeding up.
He kissed Isabella’s ear, softly reminding her, "You’re not allowed to wear low-necked clothes, don’t let any other man see!"
Isabella was about to retort that she never wore low-neck clothes when she realized something and immediately tightened her robe, pushing him away, "Get out, I’m trying to freshen up!"
Harry, not having hugged her enough, was pushed out, leaving him to touch his nose and head to the living room to order lunch.
Isabella stood alone in the bathroom, touched her ear where Harry kissed her, and saw her cheeks blush in the mirror.
The feeling of being in love grew stronger, strong enough that she couldn’t deceive herself any longer.
The woman in the mirror had slightly messy hair, but her skin was flawless and radiant as if nourished by love, bursting with a soft glow.
She hadn’t looked in the mirror properly for a long time; her skin didn’t seem this rosy or luminous before, usually tinged with a bit of pallor, giving off a cold demeanor.
She rinsed her mouth, splashed water on her face, and smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
The headache from sleep deprivation had eased a lot. Feeling cheerful, she dried her face with a towel, pushed the door open, and was pulled into an embrace.
"Harry...mm..."
Just as she said a word, she was silenced by his lips.
Harry’s kiss was domineering and icy, leaving her no room to breathe, directly engulfing her.
Her entire body was pressed against the wall, her hips lifted in a suggestive position, tightly wrapped in his embrace.
