Chapter 133: Chapter 133 Warm Little Sun

After repeatedly assuring him that she was really fine and that she absolutely did not want to spend Christmas Eve in the hospital, Ye Li hurriedly pushed Fu Yanci to handle the hospital discharge procedures.

Over ten minutes later, the Maybach zoomed out of the hospital.

A rumbling sound arose, and only then did Ye Li realize she had skipped both lunch and dinner. She turned to look at Fu Yanci, "Honey, shall we go find something to eat?"

It was Christmas Eve, their very first Christmas together.

Fu Yanci glanced outside the window, and the car headed straight for the Imperial Building.

In the sky-high restaurant on the 99th floor, beyond the windows was the romantic night scenery of Imperial City, and in front, the fragrant aroma of steak and salad.

Ye Li glanced at the nightscape, then back at Fu Yanci, biting into her food happily and contentedly.

But before the meal was even finished, her cheeks flushed red and she felt listless.

Touching her forehead, it was burning hot.

Fu Yanci’s expression changed instantly, and he carried her horizontally into the elevator.

"Fu Yanci, I don’t want to go to the hospital..."

Her spirit was wilted, but her mind was still clear. Ye Li clung to Fu Yanci’s collar, "I want to go home."

"Ah Li!"

"Honey, please, I want to go home..."

It was just a simple phrase, but coming from Ye Li, it seemed like a short, powerful command.

All of Fu Yanci’s anger vanished in an instant.

He adjusted the seat and placed her in the passenger seat, then called his private doctor. The car sped towards Lishan Mansion.

Xiao Bao was already asleep.

Aunt Lan waited anxiously until she saw Ye Li safely enter the house, then she turned to attend to other matters.

The doctor came and went, prescribing medication.

Aunt Lan also rubbed alcohol on the palms and soles of Ye Li’s feet before slowly heading downstairs.

The room quieted down, and Ye Li, looking at the ever-frowning Fu Yanci since she woke up, beckoned him with her finger, "Fu Yanci, come here..."

The girl’s feverish face was flushed, yet her eyes sparkled brightly.

Fu Yanci threw off his suit jacket and directly sat beside her, "What’s wrong? Are you very uncomfortable? I’ll get a towel for you..."

Before he could finish speaking, she gently pulled down his collar, and her scalding lips pressed against his.

A soft and gentle kiss.

It was hardly a kiss at all.

She merely pressed her lips against his.

Even so, it seemed to drain all her strength.

"Fu Yanci, don’t be mad, okay?"

The girl said breathlessly, "Today is Christmas Eve; we should all be happy, okay?"

"Okay."

Fu Yanci nodded subconsciously, his gaze softening.

He knew this girl, despite the years gone by, she was still that warm little sun.

No matter where she was, she always seemed to notice others’ gloom.

Then, with her unique warmth, she illuminated and comforted him.

When he came back to his senses, the girl had already closed her eyes.

She seemed uncomfortable, her brows furrowed, breathing low.

Every hot breath she exhaled seemed boiling, scalding the skin under his shirt.

Fu Yanci bent down and kissed her forehead, then rose and went into the bathroom.

The sound of splashing water started, then quickly stopped.

Returning to the bed, Fu Yanci pulled the girl into his embrace.

Like diving into an air-conditioned room on a hot June day, Ye Li’s eyebrows and eyes relaxed, and she clung to Fu Yanci’s chilly body with her hands and feet.

With the temperature equalized, the girl let go of her grip, or perhaps when she was too hot and crying out, there was an empty space beside her.

It wouldn’t be long before that cold, comfortable embrace returned.

With her limbs relaxed and her brow smoothed, Ye Li fell into a deep sleep.
