Chapter 108: Chapter 108: It’s Not Too Much to Collect Some Interest, Right?
Ye Li woke from her sleep feeling entirely revitalized.
Despite her outward indifference, once the dormitory lights were off, her mind would fill with the comments she had read in the posts.
The speculative or abusive remarks floated in her mind like the barrage of comments across a variety show screen, each statement provoking anger.
Some even brazenly demanded she leave Imperial University.
Every difficult night she managed to fall asleep, she would argue with those people in her dreams, proclaiming her innocence.
Struggling to wake from these sleepless dreams, Ye Li would find no rest again, eyes open until dawn.
Yet last night, Ye Li had slept exceptionally well.
With the curtains drawn, it was unclear if it were light out yet or not.
The embrace around her remained warm.
Ye Li looked up and saw that Fu Yanci was still asleep, holding her breath and daring not to move.
As the blackened room gradually brightened, Ye Li came back to her senses to find the man awake without her knowledge.
Beside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the curtains silently slid open, revealing the bright day outside.
"Fu Yanci, good morning!"
A night had passed, and a fine stubble had sprouted on the man’s chin, making his already stern face seem even deeper.
His eyes, though half-asleep, appeared somewhat blurred.
Ye Li greeted him with a good morning, and just as she was about to get up, the arm draped around her waist tightened slightly.
She tumbled back into his embrace.
"Fu..."
"Ah Li!"
With a startled shout, before Ye Li could utter his name, his face suddenly loomed large over hers.
She was beneath him.
He was above her.
Their bodies were pressed so closely together that if she raised her head slightly, she could brush his nose and meet his lips.
Looking up, she saw that Fu Yanci’s previously somnolent eyes had cleared completely, "Have you forgotten something?"
???
Ye Li was utterly bewildered, "What?"
Seeing the girl’s innocent look, Fu Yanci was grinding his teeth with frustration.
He thought of her countless times each day.
In the morning, wondering if she overslept, if she was late for class.
At noon, wondering if she ate well.
And at night, wondering what she was up to, if she thought of him amidst her coursework.
But she was different.
Even when he openly expressed his longing for her, she skirted around it, telling him how busy she was.
What she meant was, she had no time to think of him.
"Busy with coursework during the week, no time to think of me, but now you’re resting, so you must have time, right? Mrs. Fu!"
The last three words carried an unmistakably clenched-teeth connotation.
Ye Li suddenly felt a twinge of guilt.
"I, I..." had thought about it, truly!
However, the man didn’t give her a chance to explain.
Ye Li had barely spoken before his kiss descended upon her.
A punitive kiss, exceptionally fierce.
For a moment, Ye Li felt as though Fu Yanci wanted to swallow her whole.
Completely overpowered by him, she couldn’t move at all, and the air in her chest grew thinner; she could only passively cling to his shoulders and take it.
Yet the man was still not willing to let her go.
"Ah Li, you may not think of me, but I miss you very much, very much..."
He bit into her neck, causing Ye Li to flinch in pain.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, he enclosed her earlobe in his mouth, "Taking a bit of interest, that’s not too much, is it?"
Boom!
At that moment, all her blood rushed to her head, and Ye Li’s face burned hot as fire.
Electric currents cascaded down to the deepest parts of her body.
About to cry from the embarrassment, Ye Li hung her head, not looking at him, only reaching out to push him, "You’re too heavy..."
In an instant, she froze stiff.
