After the banquet incident, Isabella Gray had someone investigate the past relationship between Lily Grant and Ethan Woods.

Smiling, she said to Alex Grant and Vann Stern, "I’ve arranged a room upstairs for you. Go rest first and come down for dinner later."

She glanced at Chloe Grant, "About Chloe going abroad, I think we, as elders, need to discuss it."

"Does the family know about it?"

"I want to be with my parents," Chloe said. This reason was sufficient.

"Why didn’t you mention it a few days ago and only say it now? And what about your previous grand plans? You said you wanted to become a nationally renowned relationship broadcaster. Was that just talk?"

Lucas’s tone was somewhat harsh, mainly because hearing Chloe say she was going abroad meant she was giving up on these dreams, and he was very upset about it.
