Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World -
Chapter 69: Disciple
Chapter 69: Disciple
The Elemental Heaven Peak Master looked at Yu Xuan and said, "Since I’m not present here in person, the official disciple ceremony will take place once you ascend. Until then, you are my disciple in name and will receive all the benefits that come with it."
Her voice turned more serious as she continued, "Now, with your unique status as an Irregular, while you may maintain it, you are not permitted to accept any other masters besides me. Is that understood?"
"Yes, Master," Yu Xuan replied without hesitation.
He was highly adaptive and understood the importance of hierarchy and rules in the cultivation world.
Though the restriction was a bit disappointing — after all, he had originally thought that having many masters would mean more knowledge, more techniques, and more resources — he accepted that the cultivation world wasn’t as simple as it appeared.
"And looking at you..." she said, her gaze deepening, "I think it’s finally time you start cultivating."
Hearing that, Yu Xuan was happy. Not just Yu Xuan — everyone beyond the fourth wall was happy. Many were thinking of pouring gifts his way... alas, due to the disconnection between dimensions, those gifts never came.
It was finally cultivation time. Perfectly aligned with this Chapter nu... — Cough-cough. Some things are better left unsaid.
He also knew his status as an Irregular was something extraordinary. When the information about it first came to his mind, he honestly thought it was a prank or a scam.
He still remembered the official records in the sect regarding Irregulars:
Irregulars were allowed to join any peak — or even multiple peaks if they chose.
They had access to advanced techniques that regular sect disciples didn’t even know existed. And technically, Irregulars could have multiple masters.
However, there was a serious clause: If a conflict broke out between the masters, the disciple would be held solely responsible. That alone made most Irregulars choose a single master.
It contradicted many people’s idealistic notions of the master - disciple bond... but this was the cultivation world.
The strong made the rules, and the rest followed — or perished.
"Now, give me your medallion," the Peak Master said.
Yu Xuan handed her the medallion without question. She held it in her hand and infused it with her power.
A small multicolored dot appeared on the surface of the medallion, marking it with her official seal.
At the same time, a notification — more accurately, an announcement echoed across the sect.
It simply stated:
[The Peak Master of Elemental Heaven Peak has accepted a new disciple.]
This message was only sent to elders and peak masters within the sect’s authority. Fortunately, this system wasn’t connected to the main network of the Heaven Immortal Sect...
Because if it were, the repercussions would’ve been massive.
"Now, meet me at the peak when you’re done here," the Peak Master said, her tone turning softer but still commanding.
"Ask Elder Kun he’ll assign you a residence near my dwelling. And before you begin cultivating, come see me. I’ll personally give you an awesome technique."
With that, she disappeared into motes of multicolored light, leaving Yu Xuan standing alone in the room.
He took a deep breath, processing everything that had just happened.
Then he turned toward the door, pushing it open with the intent to find Elder Kun and get his affairs in order.
Stepping outside, he half-expected the other peak masters to be waiting, perhaps for a final tug-of-war over him. But to his surprise, the only people waiting were Elder Kun and the remaining disciples who had yet to leave.
He looked around, puzzled. ’Where did the rest go?’
What Yu Xuan didn’t know was that the moment the internal sect-wide announcement was made, everyone present had realized just who he had been accepted by — and instantly abandoned their schemes.
None of them dared to challenge or even linger around the personal disciple of the Elemental Heaven Peak Master.
Rather than risk offending her, they had quietly blamed each other for the lost opportunity... and disappeared like scattered mist.
Of course, their intentions weren’t completely lost. Many of them now had only one goal: to build a friendly or at least neutral relationship with Yu Xuan as soon as possible.
Elder Kun, seeing Yu Xuan approach, sighed heavily.
This kid brought more chaos in one hour than he had expected.
He glanced back at his undestroyed residence and muttered to himself, "Not even a cracked wall... now how will I file for damage compensation?"
With a deep sigh, he approached Yu Xuan and gestured for the remaining disciples to gather.
"Now that everyone has been successfully assigned to their peaks, you’ll receive your official sect uniforms and sect points accordingly," Elder Kun announced. "Follow me."
He led the group into a nearby room, where several senior disciples stood behind counters. Their expressions were tense, still shaken from the powerful presence that had earlier shaken the heavens — and completely unaware of its source.
"Elder Kun," one of the senior disciples greeted, bowing respectfully.
Elder Kun nodded and gave them instructions to distribute sect supplies and peak-assigned space rings to the disciples.
Then, turning toward the last two — Yu Xuan and Panda Po, he said, "You two, follow me."
They walked through a corridor that led to a smaller chamber guarded by formation runes. Elder Kun unlocked the entrance with his personal token, and the door shimmered open.
Along the way, Yu Xuan casually glanced at Panda Po.
Po, sensing the look, glanced back.
Their eyes met.
This time, Yu Xuan smirked.
Panda Po, wrapped in a dense aura of mild depression, stared blankly. Despite the heaviness hanging over him, he couldn’t resist sneaking another glance.
Breaking the silence, Yu Xuan said with a smile, "Hello. I’m Xuan — Yu Xuan." His tone was calm, but his gaze said a different story.
Po hesitated. His shoulders drooped. But after a moment, he muttered with reluctance, "Hello. I’m Po... Panda Po."
And like that — amid glances, a smirk, and reluctant introductions, an unusual friendship began to form.
