Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World -
Chapter 65: Offers [1]
Chapter 65: Offers [1]
The room was suddenly filled with powerful entities — beings who, under ordinary circumstances, didn’t even bother acknowledging each other’s existence.
Some outright disliked one another. Bitter rivals, eternal opposites.
But for now, it wasn’t the time to fight. The atmosphere was tense, but also curious. Something or rather, someone had drawn them together.
Elder Kun had just left Yu Xuan in the room, and with a casual wave of his hand, transported the remaining disciples outside. He didn’t want them to witness what was about to unfold.
Not because it was dangerous though it very well could be, but because of what it might do to their hearts.
Elder Kun knew the disciples well.
They might appear composed and mature on the outside, but aside from a rare few, most were still arrogant, pampered brats with fragile egos.
Witnessing a peer stand on the edge of such recognition could crush their confidence, plant seeds of inferiority, or worse — create heart demons.
After sending them away, Elder Kun stood silently for a moment, staring at the chamber. Only one question lingered in his mind:
’Will this room survive?’
Yet despite the worry, a hint of joy crept into his thoughts. If the room were destroyed, the compensation he’d receive from the sect would be massive.
If he plays his cards carefully — act a little pitiful here, exaggerate the damage there and maybe even use the event to secure more resources.
He grinned slightly. Opportunities come in many forms.
Now, Yu Xuan stood alone, surrounded by powerful presences. Nervousness flickered across his face as a dozen ancient beings — each a legend in their own right turned their attention to him.
’Isn’t this a bit much?’ he thought.
The room shimmered with colorful and powerful auras, many so intense they looked more like divine apparitions than living beings. Most looked ethereal, almost illusionary.
’Are they projections?’ he wondered, remembering what the artifact spirit Tianling had told them that there are clones of Elders present.
The first to speak was a being radiating infinite light. His form was vague, hidden behind blinding brilliance.
Even so, Yu Xuan felt warmth and calmness from his presence — like basking under the noonday sun.
The being looked at Yu Xuan and spoke in a neutral but powerful tone. "Little child, you seem to possess a high light affinity. Ah... it must be destiny."
His voice turned nostalgic as he reminisced, and his glow intensified, forming a halo-like effect behind him.
Yu Xuan felt as though every positive emotion in the world had washed over him—hope, peace, clarity.
But then —
A slow, cold, and dangerous voice interrupted. "Light... seems fate has sent this child to inherit my legacy. Perhaps I truly am growing old."
From the shadows emerged a being made entirely of darkness. His voice sent a chill down Yu Xuan’s spine.
The Light entity’s glow flared in response. "Damn you, Darkness, always interfering. Today, I will end your life."
Yu Xuan immediatelly thought, ’Wait! Is this... Light vs. Darkness? Are we really doing this?’
Without warning, Light shot a radiant beam across the room. Darkness countered instantly, unleashing a dark beam. The two forces collided with a blinding flash before canceling each other out entirely — leaving nothing but a faint ripple in space.
"Respected Peak Masters," a voice suddenly interjected. It was Elder Kun, stepping in before things escalated further.
Every head turned his way. Then came a chorus of replies:
"Oh, Elder Kun! You look older than I remember."
"Has age finally caught up with you?"
"Do you want some rejuvenation pills? I have a recipe that’ll make you look fifty thousand years younger!"
"Looking at that beard... I see white strands!"
And then came the most irritating voice of all: "Hohoho, Ohayō Elder Kun!"
Elder Kun’s eyelid twitched. He resisted the urge to slap them all through the floor.
These were the disciples of the very masters he had once been peer with. And now, they mocked him like street vendors teasing an old customer.
Especially that last one — she had a history with Elder Kun, one he preferred to leave buried in time.
Still, Elder Kun sighed. Age brought wisdom... and also disrespect.
These so-called youthful geniuses were all at least hundreds of thousands of years old.
"Could you please settle things peacefully? This level of display will destroy my humble residence," he said, trying to sound firm yet respectful.
The voices ignored him.
"Let’s decide this properly," said a figure who seemed to embody the concept of wind. His presence was formless yet graceful, like a breeze passing through the soul.
"Hey, little one," another voice chimed in — a curvaceous being made entirely of water. Her body rippled as she moved, and her tone was playful, seductive.
"Join my peak, hmm? I’ll let you pick any girl from my disciples. Or all of them. You name it, I’ll provide it," she said with a wink.
Yu Xuan stared at her.
His brain froze.
Then, instinctively, he recalled a math thing; LHS = RHS.
He was terrible at math, but not that terrible and wondered what would happen if he drank all the water given to him.
Before more thoughts could spiral more, the other beings exploded in outrage.
"Shameless witch!"
"Daoist Waterfull, control yourself!"
"You’re corrupting a future of the coun... Cough—Cough! sect!", this one sounded suspicious.
"You never change," muttered the Fire Peak Master, flames flickering irritably.
The water woman sneered. "Say what you want. If he joins my peak, let’s see who ends up laughing."
The room fell silent.
She had a point. If Yu Xuan truly chose her, the rest would have to shut up and accept it. Worse, they all knew — young minds were easily swayed, and this one had immense potential.
Supporting him now meant reaping benefits later.
Their strategies changed instantly.
"I’ll take you as my disciple," said Darkness, jumping at the chance.
"You insufferable fool," Light growled. "Boy, join my peak. I’ll not only make you my personal disciple, I’ll grant you full access to my treasury — every resource you need to master your affinity."
The crowd stirred.
"Whoa... Light’s being serious?"
"He’ll burn through his resources!"
"He must really want this boy."
They weren’t wrong.
Training a disciple with a singular affinity was one thing. But Yu Xuan, with his all Affinity, would require divine effort and unending resources.
But everyone here saw it clearly now:
Yu Xuan wasn’t just talented.
He was the future.
