Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World -
Chapter 44: Confrontation???
Chapter 44: Confrontation???
Yu Xuan and his companions stood in a relatively short line, though the group ahead of them was anything but small.
Nearly a hundred figures organized, proud, and clearly from the same force — clustered around a group of transparent crystals, each individual carrying themselves with an air of discipline and pride.
In contrast, Yu Xuan’s group looked modest. But that was only when seen close up.
Zooming out, the sheer scale of what surrounded them was staggering.
Yu Xuan swept his gaze across the massive plaza.
Around them, other groups had arriving from all directions. Hundreds of blue bubbles had descended like rain from the skies, each depositing disciples onto the floating continent.
Each bubble, from what Yu Xuan had seen during their own journey through the void, carried roughly a hundred participants.
And judging by the crowd rapidly forming across the crystals... there were easily over a hundred thousand participants present.
His eyes narrowed.
’So that’s around 1000 minor realms accounted for... and that artifact spirit Tianling had the audacity to call this a small event?’ he thought, equal parts impressed and overwhelmed.
A chill crept down his spine.
’I haven’t even explored my own world fully. And here I am... standing among people from thousands of others. Not to mention there are lower worlds, middle worlds, upper worlds, heavenly worlds and now even the so-called immortal realms...’
It was humbling — even terrifying.
His thoughts spiraled for a moment, but he caught himself.
He remembered the long hours spent in the clan’s Grand Library. While he had been restricted from cultivating he trained his martial arts at the time and no one could stop him from learning. And so, he read. Everything available to him in that time.
From that knowledge, he understood hierarchy of the minor realm:
The Lower Worlds — barren and harsh, where spiritual energy was rare and cultivation nearly impossible.
The Middle Worlds — capable of supporting cultivators up to the Core Formation stage, which is the third stage of cultivation realm.
The Upper worlds — far richer in energy, where cultivators could thrive up to the Supernatural Realm, which is the sixth stage of cultivation realm.
And finally, his own world — a Heavenly World — which, from the had deduced, could sustain up to the ninth realm.
Whatever that realm’s official name was, it had remained a mystery.
When he tried to access that section in the library, the elder there stopped him, smiled and said:
"You’ll understand... when you’re strong enough come here again."
Now, standing here, amid thousands from countless realms, Yu Xuan finally grasped the meaning behind the old phrase:
"There’s always a bigger fish."
That humbling thought was quickly interrupted — by none other than Mo Lin’s voice.
"Whoa, Young Master... I think you finally met your match in beauty," he said, nudging Yu Xuan with a grin.
Yu Xuan and the others followed his gaze — and paused.
There, near one of the crystals, stood a young woman.
She had flowing, golden hair that shimmered like sunlight, and dark black horns curled gracefully from her forehead, forming a regal crown-like arc. Her skin glowed faintly, and even without any ornamentation, her presence was like that of royalty.
Yu Xuan raised an eyebrow. Even he had to admit — she was striking.
Beside him, Ming Tianmei’s expression turned... terrifying.
Yu Xueqing, standing just within the radius of Tianmei’s killing intent, shivered. "S-Senior Sister...?"
She edged closer to Lin Fan.
The poor protagonist, already burdened with the weight of his Gaialing’s fate, chanted internally.
’I will cultivate to immortality. Girls are distractions. Focus. Distraction. Distraction. Focus.’
After all, he had no cheats — only blood, sweat, and the author’s unreasonable expectations.
Mo Lin, meanwhile, was still staring. "I mean, she might actually be more beautiful than—"
SMACK.
Yu Xuan slapped the back of his head.
"Don’t say stupid things in public," he scolded. "Or you’ll stay single forever."
Mo Lin looked around — and immediately saw the way all the girls in their group were glaring at him.
He wisely shut his mouth.
The dragonkin group ahead continued their interaction. When the golden-haired woman placed her hand on the crystal, it glowed briefly, and a medallion appeared before her. The others did the same in order.
Just as the last of them finished, several voices called out in unison:
"Congratulations, Princess!"
"Yes, congratulations, Princess!"
The woman frowned. "You don’t have to act like clowns every time," she said.
A few laughed sheepishly.
"But you are the future of our Dragon Clan," one said proudly. "You’re destined to be the strongest. Who wouldn’t want to curry favor with you?"
"You have immortal fate, Princess," another chimed in.
She sighed. "Still, tone it down."
With that, the group turned and began walking away — right toward Yu Xuan’s group.
Both groups paused.
The dragons moved in overwhelming numbers, but the disciples of the Yu Clan didn’t step aside.
Tension spiked in the air.
One dragon man stepped forward, his voice laced with arrogance. "Hey, humans. Move it. Can’t you see the future of our clan is walking through?"
The Yu Clan disciples didn’t flinch.
Yu Xuan stepped forward slightly and said in a calm, neutral tone, "He buddy, there’s plenty of space here. We’ve been waiting just like you. No need to act like this is your personal ground."
The dragonkin’s eyes flared with anger. "You insolent—"
Before it escalated further, the golden-haired princess raised a hand. "Enough," she said curtly.
"Let’s not waste time. I’m tired."
She then looked Yu Xuan directly in the eyes.
He met her gaze without flinching.
Then, without another word, the dragon group passed.
Mo Lin, ever the opportunist, leaned in and whispered, "Young Master... I think that dragon girl fell for your charm."
Yu Xuan’s eyebrow twitched.
The rest of the group tried but failed to suppress their laughter.
But only one person wasn’t amused.
Ming Tianmei stared at the dragon princess’s back like a predator sizing up her next meal.
’Shameless lizard’ she thought coldly.
