Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 200: THE WEDDING SAGA 2

Chapter 200: THE WEDDING SAGA 2

"Miles! Why are you the only ones here? Isn’t he supposed to be here with you?" Tonia’s voice echoed and Miles tried to gesture for her to calm down.

"Well, he wouldn’t be here today because the meeting seems to be important," Ryan answered instead and Tonia matched him.

"What are you talking about? Is that meeting more important than his child and woman?" Tonia asked and Ryan didn’t give a response, making Tonia break into incrazy laughter.

Only then did Astrid’s words echo on Mattie’s head again. "Mum... I don’t think he is in a meeting, he must have been with Astrid, she was the one on the phone when I called his contact." She announced already going frantic.

"Okay... enough of all the crazy shit. Miles tell me the exact things happening!" Donald announced and Miles swallowed.

Tonia’s face twisted in outrage as she grabbed Miles by the shirt. "Excuse me? You’re telling me that Julian wants someone else to stand in for him at his wedding?"

Miles’ eyes widened, his hands raised in a calming gesture. "Grandad, Julian got held up in a meeting, and he thought Stephan should stand in for him."

Tonia’s voice rose to a shrill pitch. "A meeting? After getting my daughter pregnant? Unbelievable!"

Becky then intervened, her voice measured. "My son said he’s busy in a meeting. If you feel like you’re not satisfied with getting married on this day they chose, then fine. We can postpone it for another day... or better still, she might just give birth out of wedlock. What do you think about that, Tonia?"

Tonia’s face turned beet red with rage, her mouth hanging open in shock. She seemed to be searching for words, but none came.

Zach, who had been quiet until now, spoke up, his deep voice commanding attention. "Desmond, do you think this is the right thing your son is doing? Trying to embarrass my daughter after what he’s already done?"

Desmond shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting between Tonia and Zach. "I am sorry, I had no idea about this, he’s making his decisions, and I didn’t want to interfere. The last time we tried to force him into making a decision, he ended up marrying Astrid. I don’t want that to happen again and put her through pain."

Just then, a man in a crisp Civil Registrar uniform walked towards them, a smile plastered on his face.

"Mr. Logan, Mr. Gilbert, and Mr Adam it’s an honor to have the most influential families in the city appear before me today."

The group nodded, though Mattie was noticeably absent. "I am Anthony Jose," he introduced again, and then Desmond shook hands with him.

Anthony continued, "I think it’s best if someone represents the groom, to avoid wasting time. As long as someone is here to represent him, everything will be sorted out. If you want, we can take a picture of Mr. Logan getting registered with his... ah... representative."

Tonia’s eyes narrowed, her face still twisted in outrage. "This is a joke, right?" she spat.

Zach placed a calming hand on her arm. "Let’s just get this over with, Tonia. We can sort out the details later."

Anthony nodded, his smile still plastered on his face. "Excellent! Let’s proceed, then."

Tonia was about to speak when Becky interrupted, her voice firm. "Are you going to complain again, now that you’ve gotten this opportunity? Or are you going to ruin this chance and get your daughter married, so we can move forward?"

Tonia burst into a fit of laughter, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "So, things are going this way, right? Then my daughter doesn’t need to get married to your son. If it’s not going to happen right here, I will take care of my child and my grandchild."

Becky rolled her eyes, turning to Anthony. "Since she seems to want to do it this way..."

But before Becky could finish, Mattie rushed forward, shaking her head. "I will get married, please. Let’s just do it."

Becky stared at Mattie, taken aback by her sudden change of heart. As they stood before Anthony, Mattie’s determination was palpable.

"Mattie!" Tonia called annoyed but Mattie was ruining this chance she wanted to get married to Julain she knew if she couldn’t now she might not be able to do so forever.

"Let’s do it please." she pleaded and all eyes were now on Tonia, having no choice she finally nodded, "Fine, but he will have a lot to answer to me."

Anthony, with a somber expression, cleared his throat. "Very well, then let’s proceed. Please, follow me."

He led them to a small, cramped room deep within the courthouse. The air was thick with the scent of old papers and stale air. Mattie’s heart raced as Anthony began to speak.

"Before we begin, I need to confirm that both parties are consenting to this marriage. Please, confirm your identities and your willingness to marry each other."

Mattie took a deep breath, her eyes locked on Anthony. "I’m Mattie, and I’m here of my own free will. I want to marry Julian."

Anthony nodded, his eyes moving to Tonia. "And you, ma’am? Are you consenting to this marriage?"

Tonia’s eyes narrowed, but she nodded curtly. "Yes, I am."

"Dear beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Stephan and Mattie in holy matrimony," Anthony announced.

Tonia’s eyes snapped towards Anthony, her face a picture of outrage. "What did you just say? This is a travesty! Where is Juliana me being called?"

"Oh... let’s just proceed.." Anthony cut them off and they shut their mouths. The ceremony proceeded and they were all given documents to sign.

Everyone did as they signed, including Mattie, then Anthony gave it to Steohan but she stopped him.

"This should be signed by Julian, not Stephan," Anthony’s expression remained impassive. "I am afraid Mr. Logan had instructed us to proceed with the marriage between Stephan and Mattie."

Mattie’s eyes widened in confusion. "What? No, that’s not right!"

Tonia’s hands trembled with rage as she snatched the marriage license from Anthony’s hands. Her eyes scanned the document, and her face turned alarmed. Stephan’s full name stared back at her, instead of Julian’s.

"This can’t be happening," Tonia whispered, her voice shaking.

Astrid’s words echoed in Mattie’s mind, "I have a surprise for you." Was this the surprise she had been talking about?

Mattie’s world crumbled around her as she slumped to the ground, her eyes wide with shock. "No, no, no...this can’t be happening," she whispered.

Tonia’s anger boiled over, and she lunged at Anthony, but Miles intervened, holding her back.

"How could you do this?" Tonia spat, her eyes blazing with fury. "You will pay for this!"

Anthony shifted uncomfortably. "I am afraid Mr. Julian is still technically married to Astrid Daniel. Their divorce was never finalized due to a year-long waiting period, which they never completed."

Donald’s voice cut through the chaos. "Why would you play such a reckless game? You could go to jail for this!"

Anthony trembled. "I-I was just following instructions." Tonia’s eyes narrowed. "Instructions from who?"

Anthony hesitated before speaking. "From Mr. Logan himself."

Miles stepped forward, his voice dripping with malice. "You shouldn’t blame him, Mum. You should blame Mattie. She’s been cheating on Julian with Stephan for years, so I think he believed that was the choice for her"

The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the stunned onlookers.

Mattie’s world had just been turned upside down, and she was left reeling, wondering what other secrets lay hidden.

"And that child she’s carrying?" Miles continued, his voice dripping with venom. "It’s not Julian’s. It’s Stephan’s."

Mattie’s eyes widened in horror as the truth slammed into her like a ton of bricks.
